In all honesty, I boarded my airplane resigned to the fact that I would have to find a corner at a bustling coffee shop and apologize excessively to my colleagues on my calls for the background noise. However, before requesting a rideshare from the airport I thought to myself ,"Let me do a quick google search and see if I maybe there's a coworking space that I could work from for the day." Luckily I came across Pearl Cowork. I signed up for a tour of the place to start in 30 minutes, hopped into my 15 minute ride and hoped for the best. On my way there, I received an email with helpful instructions in finding the suite on the second floor. Upon arriving, the manager (Madison) greeted me and was super friendly. She said that indeed they offered day passes. She gave me a tour of the space and I felt so grateful because this had exactly what I needed (wifi, outlets, several collaborative/private spaces, and coffee). The workspace is at the Pearl which has lots of dining options for breakfast and lunch and the manager even gave me a coupon for 15% off a meal (so kind). I was worried that because I was working from a different time zone I would have to find somewhere else to work as it got later but the manager explained that while most everyone left by 5, I could stay later but would need to be mindful of the doors that do lock. I only had to stay one hour after and it wasn't a problem. Overall, this was a very positive experience and I am so glad this was where I experienced my first time at a coworking space. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that like me needs a quite place to work from for a day or for anyone looking for something more permanent.

There were eleven of us that attended this exciting fun-filled opportunity. We wanted to get ideas on what we are using currently for social media; SEO understanding and help on what will be the re-launch design of our website. Our trainer and "motivational speaker" was one of the owners, Kori Ashton. She let us know that this is a family run business and she is co-partners with her mom and dad; how cool is that? You can tell that she really loves what she does and if you decide to take a class and are lucky to have her as your trainer she will keep you fully engaged and believe it or not, laughing. She introduced us to two other members of her staff, Jason Merrell who is one of the lead developers and Corrissa Neal also a web designer. These two were equally helpful at giving us direction and making great suggestions for our social media platform. Her office is very inviting and the décor says "creative" & "inspire"! I encourage anyone attempting to build a website, have an existing website or needing help with Word Press, to take a class here. I will be coming back for help with my own website and fully trust that any advice I receive from this team, will help me meet the goals I hope to achieve.

Their lighting will transform any space to be exactly what you envisioned, and they can also help outfit with you with other AV equipment you might need for your event: sound systems, wireless mics, a sound operator throughout your event, etc. They are responsible for much of what goes on behind the scenes at events like Luminaria, Blue Star Red Dot, McNay Art Museum, and other clubs and lounges throughout town.
