I've worked a mile away for six years and this is the first time I've set foot in here. My coworkers and I had a meeting to attend and decided to stop here before going back to work. The place was pretty empty, and I think there was only one waitress working. Our server quickly brought us lunch menus. The items on the menu are extremely affordable lunch prices. I had three cheese enchiladas for $6.95. I ordered the cheaper version without the rice and beans. My coworkers all ordered different item. Two of them had chicken quesadillas and they were huge. Four sections, unlike some places that take a large tortilla and fold it in half. When the bill came I was charged incorrectly (I think the price for rice and beans). The server didn't know how to change it, but I planned to leave $10 for tax and tip (more than 20%), so that is what I did. The quesadilla two were charged $10 instead of $8, but that may have been because they had grilled instead of pulled chicken. I recommend this place for a cheap and tasty lunch. Just check your bill before you pay.

A completely forgettable platter of chicken in tortillas, rice and beans. The lesson here is that if you cover something with enough cheese, you can pretty much serve up lunch. I can't say I would return. There is better nearby.

Our service was great... The food came hot and was delicious and the serving size was more than enough to need a to go box'

First time here, food was good. I had the tacos, all the food was great! Even the chips and salsa... I liked the service and they were able to split the check, no questions about that. Atmosphere was also nice. I will definitely go back!

Very good Mexican food. Pozole was very tasty. I had the cazado it was great. The pork tamale and the rice could've used a little salt but really it was good overall. The chorizo isn't what I'm used to having lived in Houston, TX but it was pretty tasty. My son had the El charro and the chicken was the Percy amount to spicy. The service is excellent and we got our food hot and quickly. Definitely will be back - there are a bunch of other things on the menu I want to try!

Greeted amd seated right away. Salsa and chips were a perfect appetizer. I ordered shrimp fajitas. They were great. Good size shrimp. Great flavor. Sizzling when they came out. Warm tortillas accompanied. Server was attentive. Lunch hour had more people than I thought would come in on a Saturday. Lots of families. Decor is old and raggedy but they are obviously more focused on food and service. Worth a visit. 3 stars for the condition of the restaurant but I'd still visit again for the food.

We shared the corn, which was perfectly sweet and tangy, ordered three lemonades, and tried a handful of tacos. The taco de lengua was tender and moist without being fatty, the barbacoa was savory with just the right hint of sweetness, and the carne asada was hearty, meaty, and full of flavor. We wrapped things up with a flan that was creamy and custardy--exactly how it should be. The packed parking lot says it all about this place's popularity. Don't miss out.

There are definitely a variety of taco choices. I haven't been unsatisfied yet. There is a small eating area inside away from the bottleneck area where people order and pick up their food but I don't think I'd ever want to eat inside since it's way too busy and the ambiance would be too hectic for me to deal with. There are other choices of sides or extras like maíz loco (corn on the cob with a variety of toppings like mayo, catsup, crumbled cheese, tajín...your choices), dried pork rinds, chicharrón (chewier and crispy version of the pork rinds), atole (hot, masa-based beverage made from corn dough, water or milk, sweetened with sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla). There are quick desserts to go too. I would highly recommend ordering ahead so you can get in and out or figuring out the less congested times. I've come during the dinner rush hours time but hadn't been planning on getting it ahead of time. I definitely recommend this place and will continue to come back.

I stuck to the late night happy hour menu and ordered the Frito pie. It was REALLY good. The portion was smaller than I expected, so I'd definitely order two next time. However, the waitress was excellent with providing order recommendations and ensuring that we were taken care of. Drinks: I ordered the ranch water which wasn't anything spectacular. Just a simple non-sugary drink to enjoy while dining. I opted out of the fajitas but the rest of my party loved the steak and shrimp fajitas, which were part of the fajitas 2 deal. Plenty to share and I heard that the steak was cooked to perfection and the shrimp was seasoned well. I ordered the taco salad and that dish was PHENOMENAL! There is something to be said about a wet salad which manages to hold some crunchy texture to the taco strips. Also, it was perfectly chopped and all ingredients were mixed together so well. To complete the dish, I ordered a side of rice and chicken. Both were delicious but the chicken portion could use some work. Overall I'm curious to try their breakfast tacos so count me in on returning! They also offer a great happy hour so I recommend stopping by to enjoy their bar or even their cute outdoor seating.

The chips are perfection--very thin, crunchy, fresh, with a slight amount of salt. The salsa was tomato forward, and while I usually crave heat, I really liked the balanced flavor--so much I had two bowls! I orders the cheese enchiladas and it was massive and oh so cheesy. There were cheese pulls for days. The rice was good, I tasted the beans and they were also okay. While the meat was a little tough and needed a bit more flavor, the accompaniments were good and combined with the salsa, produced great flavor. I would recommend Mi Rancho if you're looking for a family-friendly, laid-back dinner in Silver Spring.
