Ambiance was cozy, got the Horchata coffee and it was delicious. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

So many choices! They have samples of almost all their pecans. We had a Rollo latte and pepemint mocha latte. Both were delicious. All the pecns we bought were delicious. Our favorites were the pecan brittle and the roasted buttered and salted. These two things were perfect!!! We bought some coffee too but haven't tried it yet. They had a lot of gift baskets and platters too. The service was great and friendly albeit a little slow. He was the barista and the cashier and had to hand ring everything up. We bought too much stuff it created a line. But this isn't a place to go into if you're in a hurry. Part of the fun is looking around at everything and enjoying being there. The ladies here are excellent! They're warm & inviting and their coffee was a welcome relief from a long morning drive up to San Saba. They have samples galore and my friends and I bought a slice of their scrumptious pecan pie. As George Takei would say, "Ohhh myyy!" It wasn't too sweet or inundated with syrup - everything seemed to have an even balance and was just right. The size was nice too since a lot of pecan pies I've come across are usually flat while theirs was nice and thick. We enjoyed it a lot and I'm looking forward to coming back for more! The coffee of the day was a pecan blend (naturally). It was definitely full bodied with just a hint of boldness - enough for a cold autumn morning. I could definitely taste the pecan flavor in it! On another note, my partner in crime saw that one of the ladies was featured in a Texas magazine. I looked at the picture and saw the spot it was taken in and he decided to re-enact the scene. I purchased several times this year from Alamo Pecan and Coffee. On my first trip through San Saba I purchased pecan pieces and pecan halves. My second trip I purchased 5 Wooden Gift Boxes, 1 Alamo Gift Classic and a Executive Gift Basket the one with no coffee It is hard for me to believe Alamo packaged this gift basket in house. The pecan halves the the large Executive Basket where TERIBBLE. They in small packages in the large basket and tasted like they where last years pecans that came out cold storage or someplace other than there stock. I called and was told someone would call me next day. Some lady named Heather called but we missed connections. I called back three time and they said they would have her or some call me. I never had another return call. Next year I will purchase from another company. I Purchased the basket for my sister so it wasn't as embarrassing. If it had been for a CUSTOMER I would have driven back to San Saba and returned it! read more

We stopped by on a cool spring morning on the motorcycles to warm up and enjoy some coffee. We both got the pecan coffee and were extremely pleased. I ended up purchasing a pound of it for $14. The coffee is roasted with pecans and the whole bean coffee has pecan chunks in it. They offer a wide verity of pecan product samples which is nice, and I will likely purchase some for gifts. I will have to try some of their pie the next time I roll through San Saba. The service was great and you definately got a feel of the pulse of San Saba. read more

Sketchy. I did a $45 online order. I ended up with two credit card charges totaling over $71. Tried to contact them to inquire about why I was charged twice through email, never received an answer. I ended up calling them and they were also confused over the situation. Turns out the options for shipping included options that were apparently not available so they changed my shipping without communication. Never got a tracking number for the order. The online receipt contained no information to contact them and no shipping info. Only a order number a purchase summary. After a conversation about the shipping they said they would refund a small amount back. I wouldn't do business with these people again. Their online ordering system needs help and the lack of communication is bad. I also never knew when the gift would arrive or if it did at all. This is not the way you run a business. read more

Over the last five to six years, we have ordered pecans from Alamo Pecan and Coffee Co, in San Saba, Texas and had them sent to family in Florida and Texas. They, family and friends, rave about how big and great the pecans are - whether they are plain, covered in white or dark chocolate, or are part of a many types of pecans in a Texas sized basket - they are WONDERFUL!!! This past Christmas (2013), we went with 2 pound tins and even sent one to ourselves and yes, they are so GOOD!! Even on diets, chocolate is always a welcome eat!! Delivery is always fast and efficient - our Florida folks love getting these tins and state the postman knows what is in the package when he delivers them! Alamo Pecan and Coffee Co. do a wonderful job and the cost is quite reasonable - especially after comparing them to other pecan companies in Texas.
