I have an older high end Samsung LCD panel TV that would not power on anymore. I called and spoke to Daniel. He asked all the right questions including getting my set's model number and quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem over the phone and then gave me a price quote for the needed repair. For convenience, I elected to have the TV repair done in my home rather than taking it in to the Alamo repair shop. Paul, the Alamo technician, came out to my house the very next day. He was knowledgeable and very skilled. Paul completed the repair in my living room in about 30 minutes and even rechecked all the settings to ensure I was getting the best possible performance from the TV. Wow! Person who came to service my tv was annoyed that the tv was on a walk bracket. My husband and I had to take the 52 inch tv down ourselves. Servicer said he needed some part that would be in ' next week'. Never called us back. When we called to ask what was taking so long then surprisingly the part was in. He needed help lying the tv down and basically wanted help with everything. Even asked if he had to put the tv back where it was. C'mon Paul- this is your job. Don't be so lazy! read more

I read that they will buy your flat screen tv for parts. They actually charged me to look at my flat screen tvs and then told me the tvs were'nt what they were looking for. I put 75% down in a used tv but didn't take it because it was a surprise for someone. They sold the tv. Don't trust! read more

VERY HONEST ! ... I called today because my flat Screen TV had no sound, I was freaking out because I wanted to watch football. Well, when I spoke to Sandra (Tech) and explained my issue with TV she put me on a very quick hold, she came back and told me to un-plug the cable wiring, wait 2 minutes, and re-plug back. Well, to my amazement it worked exactly like she stated. WOW, I could of been told to BRING IT IN to analyze it and be out about $100.00 BUT they didn't! You don't find this type of Honesty, and they were truthful. I will always have any of my TV's repaired with them. (Just a FYI San Antonio) read more

Yesterday Paul came out and fixed my TV which was shutting off and on out of control. He was not in a big hurry to just change a part and charge a large fee. Paul took the time to ask me what was going on and then spent more time going through the set up connections and attached receivers and remotes to figure out where the problem really was. Working with Alamo TV was a great experience in every way! Our TV was back up and working within hours of my call for in-home service. We had a somewhat complex situation to solve because my 92 year old mother in law has a 20-some year old Samsung TV with a built in VHS/VCR--and the VCR mechanism broke. She did not want to update her equipment (i.e. buy a new/smart TV) because she is used to her old TV and its controls, and she didn't want to have to learn how to work a newfangled TV. Paul was our technician from Alamo TV, and he did everything he could to accommodate her situation. The parts are no longer available for her TV, so then he scoured the internet to see if he could locate a used TV of the same model to use for parts--no such luck! We finally decided to purchase an external DVD player to plug into the old Samsung so that she could keep her old TV (with the controller that she sort of knows how to use) and yet still be able to watch movies on it. Paul went with me to Walmart to pick out the DVD player so that we would choose one that was compatible with her older model TV. He made sure that we had a long enough connecting cable, given the configuration of space available, and then he went back to the house with me to set everything up. Finally, he gave my mother in law a lesson in how to turn on a movie, and she was utterly delighted! She said to him that he had turned "a disaster" into an even better set-up for her, and she even got to keep her old TV. Paul was friendly and patient through all of this, and on top of that, he only charged for the house call, and nothing more. Amazing service! Daniel recently repaired my blue ray player and 42" LCD Bravia. I was very upset that both of my electronic toys had to be repaired in the first place, but after dealing with Daniel I was able to laugh about the whole thing...he was efficient (fixed the blue ray player as I waited on my lunch break) and honest with his prices. I honestly hope I don't need any TV repairs in the near future, but I do know I will be recommending Alamo TV to those who do. read more

I talked to a technician over the phone to see what their prices and explained the problem i was having. 25.00 charge up front to open the tv up on my 65 inch Samsung led smart TVs. Quoted @ 350.00 with the 25.00 bench fee to roll into total price. I dropped off television on 05-17-2021,they helped me unload the tv into the shop. I told them I had the power cord and remote in the truck. He said he didn't need it and was connecting various power cords he had at his station. He told me the tv doesn't want to turn on, I told him I have the cord you can just use the one that goes to it because i just had it on at the house.he had at his station 10 or so power cords and was trying all of them one by one and told me it wouldn't turn on. I was told I was going to get a call in two to three days. I called on the 28th of may to check on status, I was told that the tv had been opened that second day since i dropped off and it had been sitting there ever since. he said another gentlemen had worked on it and that he was going to call me right back because he need to to see what the other guy had found out what needed to be done. they called me right back and said that it was the led lights were out and that he was going to order them but there might be a chance that the screen could break on them when taking it apart and that would pretty much mean they are not liable which I okayed it knowing things can happen and asked if the screen was to break on them would I still be liable for payment on the parts and service. He said I would not have to pay for anything, I would just have a broken tv. They told me to give them a week to fix it but they would call me when it was ready.they called me on the 28th of may to tell me that the leds were stuck into the inside panel and that I would need to replace the screen and said that it was too expensive and that it's best to scrap it since it's already in pieces. I told them I would pick it up. They said they were going too call me when it was reassembled and ready for pick up. I called on the 31st of may to check on status to see if I could pick up since I wanted to get a second opinion. was told it had been ready on the 28th but they forgot too call me, I was like okay no big deal things happen. So I pick up tv on 31st of may and tv is wrapped in a plastic film due to it had been raining the week before.the gentlemen told me he was out on 130 dollars for the lights he had ordered and now he was stuck with them, I told him why did he order the part in the first place if they couldn't be replaced. He said he only opened the back of the tv he never took the screen off. he said I needed the screen replaced because the couldn't get the lights off?? I asked for the breakdown of parts and labor if I wanted to get tv repaired. All in all it was going to cost 1,500 plus labor to fix it, I decided to take the tv home. when I got home I plugged it in because he told me it wasn't even turning on and I was surprised because I just had it on before I dropped off. i plugged in the tv and it lit up but now my screen was broken.I don't see why the screen is broken if they said they never touched it only the back. really bad customer service and hiding the fact that they broke the screen and if they would of been honest and said the screen broke I would of been okay.if I would of bought the screen to fix the whole unit i would of payed for something that they broke and I would of never known. i Will not be going back nor recommending their business. please check your tvs before and after you pickup. read more

My TV went out. I called and they diagnosed the problem right away. My TV needed a bulb replaced. They had 4 bulbs instock so I drove over. They fixed my TV in FIVE MINUTES!!!! Didn't charge for the repair just the part and gave me $10 off for paying with cash!!! I recieved a receipt with a 9 month warranty. Overall an exceptional experience.
