It was very cost effective to get a diagnosis and cost estimate of the repair before deciding to just replace my tv. It allowed me to research my options of replacing my tv abruptly with planning. Brought in a TV for consultation on repairing. The Tv would not stay on was powering off on its own. The Representative stated he would be able to repair and we allowed more than a week for him to do so. Charged us for repair about $250 and also Guarantees the work. As soon as the TV was brought home and used it stayed on for about 10-15 minutes at first I was glad it was staying on but then the picture slowly faded out and just went black and it continued to do that it would allow me to watch tv in like 15 minutes intervals. The business was contacted the same day we received the TV back to let them know it was not repaired. The representative stated to bring the TV back. I'm a single woman so it's not very easy for me to be loading and unloading a 65" tv but regardless it needed to be done and in that process I caused a crack on the screen. I Took the TV in and repair man stated it was not working due to the crack and he could not provide a refund. I advised him that the TV was not repaired in the first place before the crack had even occurred. The crack would not have occurred if the TV would have originally been repaired the first time it was taken in. I requested for the amount I paid for it to be fixed to be refund representative stated the only thing he could do is offer a low price of 500 for another 65" that he had repaired. He was still trying to get more money out of this situation.Horrible business. I just bought a new 65 Samsung for the same amount as the repaired Vizio he was trying to sell to me. Very helpful and knowledgeable repair shop!! They did a great job on my tv repair and helped me troubleshoot another problem at another time that wasn't tv related. Their prices are a lot more reasonable than other shops and they will do a free estimate while you wait. Some shops seem to want to charge you an estimate or inspection fee. I am very happy with the repair that I had. I own a 55inch LG tv that had the picture dim so low, the screen was basically black. They did a free quote (within a couple hours) for me and let me know the lighting strip along with 1 other part needed to be replaced. I previously took my tv to another repair place that said the same thing but told me there was only a 50/50 chance they could repair it without breaking the screen and that would cause my tv to be worthless. When TV REPAIR 4 LESS called me with the quote, he assured me they had the right tools and said that replacing the parts needed wouldn't be an issue. If this is the best TV repair place in the San Antonio area, I'd hate to see the worst. Not even worth one star rating. Absolutely terrible, dishonest disservice. Brought Samsung TV that was cycling on and off for repair--clear picture would come on eventually. Brought TV in--person in shop was totally dismissive of our attempt to describe the problem or take time to observe the problem. Given quote for repair, then called several days later for permission to repair which was given. Was called several days later and told screen was bad which absolutely was not the situation when TV brought in. When went to pick up unfixed TV, had shop person plug in TV to demonstrate TV was in same condition when brought in and not worse. Military members, Stay Clear! These guys are less than professional, and lack total dependability. They had my TV for three weeks, and didn't even order the parts. Once I called and inquired, the parts amazingly became available. I am picking up my TV just like I gave it to them three weeks ago.......Broke! The shop is in the back of a warehouse, and I would not let my wife or daughter attempt to go there without me. Called this guy about a DLP chip quoted me a price of 250.00 then wanted 50.00 for 10 mins worth of work. Started talking about the TV repair then he begins to say you pay credit card price much higher and plus sale tax. This guy is shady stay away. read more

Hands-down the best in the area! I called several shops before deciding on this one. My 65' television needed a DLP chip replaced. Everyone else quoted me $225 or more for the chip and said they would have to order the part which would take several days to get and repair. Additionally, other shops were charging $140-$185 for labor. Not only did TV Repair 4 Less, charge me less than $200 for the part, they only charged me $85 for labor. TV repair 4 less was definitely the cheapest and did the work in about one hour. Would give 10 stars and recommend to everyone! read more

I've used this repair shop twice and they have been reasonable, the prices are better than others and you can't beat free estimate, like really it's Free! So of course I didn't have to think twice about using them again when my daughters tv went out. So I'm glad that there's still someone honesty out there that are willing to help you get your tv fixed and not charge you for just looking at it. I have a 55in Samsung led tv, 2 yrs old that the t-com card went bad. It took them over two weeks to fix it, they said it would take about 3 days. I had to go out of town for Army training and explained that too them when they called for me to pick it up. I explained I would be 3 weeks before I could pick it up, the owner explained they would have to sell it before then to cover cost of the repair so I had someone else to go pick it up . In which it cost $345 to repair a $1,200 TV. had it picked up and did not open it until this past so I had someone else to go pick it up. Friday because of training. I had noticed the power cord is not there plus three screws that mount the base of the TV to the TV itself are missing. I called the TV repair for less shop and the owner stated that they would never give the TV without the screws and the power cord. I do not think the person that I told to go pick up the TV would want to keep a power cord and three little screws that's why I am giving him one star. I would never do business with them and will call JAG on Ft Sam Houston to get this establishment blacklisted from military personnel from doing business with them. read more
