Our room was located on the 12th floor and it was busy as the last ever Gathering of Nations was taking place at the fairgrounds. The employees whom helped us were very nice and efficient and checked up on us with a phone call once we got settled in our room. As for the room itself, it was perfect for what we needed. We had a great view of the city. The only cons we had was the HVAC system was not working properly. The room was very stuffy and no matter what temp we lowered it to (went all the way down to 60) the A/C did not kick in). The fan was working but not blowing any cold air (the hallway's A/C was working). I reported it to the front desk upon check out. The other item was the shower's knobs were located on the opposite side of the shower head and I had never seen that before. It was very awkward as the glass sliding door does not open on the side with the shower head. I felt that it was unsafe as you turn on the water but cannot feel the temp of the water cause it is on the other side. Overall, stay was good and it was pretty quiet other than hearing a couple of guests out in the hallway. I would stay here again if in the area.

Our grandkids were not on top of each other. And they loved sleeping on the sofa bed. We all got a good nights sleep. And the bonus is the hot breakfast that is provided. One other thing to know is that in the morning they have a complementary coffee bar and there is also valet parking. Another thing that I like about this hotel is they have pretty art and pottery displayed throughout. Other things that I like about this hotel is it has a fabulous roof top restaurant with fire pits so you can sit sit outside and dine and look at pretty city lights! At sunset you would be able to see this mountain ranges! Very beautiful and romantic! The night that we dined here was a limited menu, which I do not know if that's always the case or if it was just particular night. What we did have for dinner was very satisfying to us. Also, if you did not want to eat at the hotel right across the street is a food court called Sawmill Market, which has a variety of food choices not only for dinner but for breakfast and some delicious coffees. There's also another restaurant across the street in case you didn't want to dine at the hotel. All are walking distance....so very convenient if you're just passing through. The door to the refrigerator cabinet hung down and scraped loudly every time you opened or closed it, it was very much in need of repair. The second drawer, of the three to put your clothes in, would not stay closed. I needed to shove one of their hotel chaco post cards into the side of the drawer to keep it closed. Not a pleasant experience and frankly not what I expected from Hotel Chaco, very disappointing. We had already been moved once (see above) but, the noise in our second room (415) from the restaurant closing at 10pm at night was unexpected and especially saddening. Where else were we going to move to??? While the noise only lasted for about a half hour each night, starting near 10pm, it was truly upsetting when I went to bed early (9pm) on my first night in room 415. I was exhausted and needed to rest, but was woken by noise from whatever was being dragged around upstairs on floor 5. The next day I had to go out and buy some ear plugs, so I would be able to get some sleep, as we were booked on a 6:40 am flight. I HATE having wear ear plugs to sleep. Upside: The staff at your hotel were extremely helpful, with an overall rating of EXCELLENT. Downside: Your hotel rooms are in need of some serious repair and/or upgrade work.

I usually go out of my way to leave positive reviews because I know how much they help businesses…read more Unfortunately, I can't honestly do that here. The venue itself is beautiful, but our experience on the wedding day was incredibly disappointing. The communication leading up to the wedding was responsive and great, and our questions were answered promptly which we were very impressed with. However, responsiveness beforehand did not translate into execution on the wedding day. They reassured us that Marina was a certified wedding planner and that we didn't need to hire another one or a day of coordinator. That couldn't be more wrong. Our signature cocktail ingredients that we purchased ourselves and brought were misplaced. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, our family was led to believe they had forgotten to bring them. Several family members, and I during the wedding spent 30-60 minutes searching the venue and scrambling to find them or replacement ingredients. During the wedding they never offered to replace them or reimburse us for the hundreds of dollars they had lost. We had even spent time brewing tea specifically for the cocktails, which ultimately wasn't used either even though it was there. Before the wedding, I offered to batch the cocktails in advance to avoid exactly this type of problem. I was reassured that it wasn't necessary. When the missing ingredients were eventually found days later, we were asked to come pick them up after the wedding ourselves so they could be returned. There was no offer to reimburse us for the inconvenience until we pressed them for it. A simple phone call that night could've saved everything but there was no communication. If your guest count decreases before the wedding but they already charged you for plating or other things don't expect them to offer you a refund unless you press them for it either. When we arrived about 45 minutes before guests were scheduled to arrive, almost nothing had been set up yet, and the coordinator was in the office just eating. They ask you to assign your own friends and family to handle tasks that I expected the venue staff to coordinate. The reception tables were also not in the order requested. While we were still loading our belongings after the reception which was literally at 10pm sharp, the venue lights were turned off on us. I was literally loading things in my wedding dress with no help from the venue. My husband, the groom, also felt the bartenders hired from Nature Pointe were rude to him--on his wedding day! Also in general they don't allow caterers to cook anything on site so if you want anything that is supposed to be crispy or made on site, it's impossible, which makes the menu very limited. The "wedding planning" they offer is a sheet of vendors they know of and it's minimal and outdated. I understand that people have difficult days or personal circumstances, and I genuinely try to extend grace. Had someone simply acknowledged the mistakes, apologized, or attempted to make things right, I likely would have felt very differently. People often describe their wedding as one of the most important days of their lives. Thankfully, we were surrounded by wonderful family, friends, and incredible vendors who made the day special despite these issues. But many of the stressful moments we experienced were preventable. 3 months later I'm still disappointed and surprised that this all happened. If I were planning my wedding again, I would definitely choose a different venue AND not rely on reassurance that they have a day-of-coordinator.

We just came home from spending 5 relaxing nights at the El Rey Court in Santa Fe, NM…read more Being new to the Santa Fe area we explored its stunning Loretta Chapel, the historic Santa Fe Plaza and the Santa Fe Railroad Mexican restaurants. My favorite spot during our whole trip was returning to the El Rey Court every night. It is an escape in itself. The La Reina and its La Reina Mesita has the best Margaritas and food, which we enjoyed every night. The rooms are stunning and the outside lounge areas are filled with trees and cozy spots. The front desk and all staff were exceptional. We highly recommend the El Rey Court.

It was open, but had a layer of dead flies, dirt and other debris circulating around the surface which was pretty disappointing. The sauna was closed, I didn't check out the regular pool or bar. Which would be totally fine if they weren't charging over $200 when there are rooms for less than half of that down the street. Overall it does have some charm especially in the outdoor areas, and with just a little more attention to detail it could fit into the mid-scale category and price range they're trying to pass it off as.

2.7 rating is not surprising…read more I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the Sheraton Albuquerque Airport. The property shows a concerning lack of attention from management. Before I could even settle in, I had to change rooms because the HVAC system in my original room was so loud it made sleeping impossible. Also none of the streaming services work on the tvs. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning. The hotel's overall cleanliness is poor. Both the interior and exterior appear neglected, and the carpet in the only working elevator is absolutely filthy. The parking lot is full of weeds, several parking lot lights flicker at night, and even the large Sheraton sign on the building has half of its letters burned out. None of these issues are complicated or expensive to address. They're basic maintenance items that reflect whether management takes pride in the property. Instead, they combine to create the impression of a hotel that has simply been allowed to deteriorate. Sheraton is a brand that typically carries a certain standard, but this location falls well short of those expectations. I would not stay here again until significant improvements are made. People somehow manage to ignore weeds, broken lights, and a half-lit hotel sign every single day without asking, "Does this inspire confidence?" Apparently not.

I waited a really long time for a shuttle and the front desk wasn't taking calls. It kept ringing for 30 minutes and I was put on hold when I got through. At the front desk the lady in the front was busy doing administrative stuff before she finally said "let me take care of him first before...". (Which should obvious). But she was polite and friendly once she got to me. At the conference, both stalls and one of urinals were broken. My room AC was broken. Now the good... So they get points because someone came to my room to fix the AC quickly. When they couldn't the manager gave me his cell phone and offered to switch my room. When I declined he gave me a modest gift of points... it wasn't much but I appreciated the effort. The Sheraton lounge staff were super friendly and attentive. The food was dry and tasteless but hey, I get free access as a platinum member so I won't complain. So there were so many things that I'm not even mentioning (first world problems). But I truly appreciate the effort and that -almost- makes up for it. Shuttle driver was great. I would try it here again... maybe next year do they have time to improve under new management.
