I really like that parking is included and not an extra charge like some hotels. We were located near a Target and lots of restaurants as well. Our room was located on the 12th floor and it was busy as the last ever Gathering of Nations was taking place at the fairgrounds. The employees whom helped us were very nice and efficient and checked up on us with a phone call once we got settled in our room. As for the room itself, it was perfect for what we needed. We had a great view of the city. The only cons we had was the HVAC system was not working properly. The room was very stuffy and no matter what temp we lowered it to (went all the way down to 60) the A/C did not kick in). The fan was working but not blowing any cold air (the hallway's A/C was working). I reported it to the front desk upon check out. The other item was the shower's knobs were located on the opposite side of the shower head and I had never seen that before. It was very awkward as the glass sliding door does not open on the side with the shower head. I felt that it was unsafe as you turn on the water but cannot feel the temp of the water cause it is on the other side. Overall, stay was good and it was pretty quiet other than hearing a couple of guests out in the hallway. I would stay here again if in the area.

They gave us free WiFi and two water bottles but no microwave oven in the room and no mini refrigerator. What sets this place apart from every other hotel is that they have quiet rooms with concrete floors and thick walls. You don't hear much of anything. The AC controls are very functional and WiFi connection is flawless. The staffs treated us nicely since we are Bonvoy Gold Member. Pretty decent hotel IMO!

And...wow..the interior of this hotel was magnificent! I loved the very interesting feel of it. Food for the eyes for sure! The bartender at a lobby greeted me immediately and he was very friendly and helpful with some food and drinks information there. I had a good chat while enjoying my evening snacks for sure! I had a guac + salsa...and I didn't expect it to be anything different..but..wow..the way they dressed the food..it felt worth more than $12 price tag for sure! Sorry, I forgot my phone in my car but...possibly the fanciest dressing of guac and salsa order I had in the longest time! The only minus was you have to find street parking or go valet (but..if you aren't there to stay..its probably not worth paying for the valet). Street parking is also likely harder to find downtown on weekdays. I got super lucky with one last parking spot that opened up across the street on a weekend day evening..so I snagged it and headed into the hotel. I thought this was a good way to check out the hotel for sure! I think if I needed to use up my quarterly credits from my credit card, this was a wonderful way to spend it for sure!

On a busy convention night, the dining room was packed, yet the energy felt festive rather than frantic. Thanks to a well-timed reservation, my party settled in comfortably despite the initial blast of aggressive air-conditioning--a smart move after last week's heat, though the growing crowd of happy diners soon brought the room to a more pleasant temperature. Service was excellent from the start. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, a supervisor, and our server, setting a tone of genuine care that never wavered. The pacing was near-perfect: attentive without hovering, with drinks refreshed proactively and plates cleared at just the right moments. To begin, I ordered the green chile beef stew. It arrived promptly, hot and deeply flavorful, with tender beef and that signature New Mexican green chile heat that lingers just enough to wake up the palate. For my birthday libation, the S'mores Old Fashioned was a delightful twist--smoky, sweet, and dangerously smooth. The entrées showed Char's Southwestern strengths. The enchiladas were deeply comforting, while the carne asada arrived perfectly grilled with robust flavor. Both were elevated by the bright, creamy Mexican Street Corn on the side--charred kernels, cotija, and a hint of lime that cut through the richness beautifully. We closed the evening with the new arroz con leche from the updated dessert menu. Warm, cinnamon-kissed rice pudding topped with a generous scoop of cinnamon ice cream proved to be the ideal sweet finale--comforting yet refined, with contrasting temperatures that made every bite exciting. From the thoughtful service to the consistent execution of both classics and new offerings, Char once again proved why it's a go-to spot for special occasions. If you're in Albuquerque and want elevated NM dining, Char meets the need.

And I like the location by the airport. We had to make a last minute overnight reservation and chose Hyatt. I called for the shuttle and the nice lady came right away. She works Thursday evenings. Can't remember her name. She made this stressful time so much brighter. We got to the hotel and then to our room. Rooms are amazing. Spacious. And very clean. Our grandkids were not on top of each other. And they loved sleeping on the sofa bed. We all got a good nights sleep. And the bonus is the hot breakfast that is provided. The coffee was amazing and the food was delicious. My grandkids enjoyed it all very much. I am certain we will be back to this hotel.

Last night I reserved a room here for my husband and son. They were on a drive across country for my son's new job. Call us stupid or naive (possibly both), but it never occurred to any of us that there are people out there who steal entire trailers off the backs of cars. Trailers that contain every single possession someone owns (in this case, my son). Well, there are. And it's clear that they know of the lack of both security and security cameras at this hotel. I posted about this on a social media site and got lots of responses, some snarky, many kind and sympathetic. But the takeaway was this: * Albuquerque has a huge problem with this type of theft; * If you're hauling stuff and you're tired, drive out to the suburbs to sleep, Better yet, push through and don't stop until you're far outside Albuquerque.; and finally, this: * A woman who's worked Night Audit in Albuquerque hotels for 18 years reported that she worked at this hotel for exactly 1 month and left me to intuit why she was there such a short time. I sensed she felt unsafe and saw things she wasn't comfortable with. I understand that Hyatt, the entity, wasn't personally responsible for the theft but it's clear that this hotel has a problem with crime (in the parking lot, at a minimum) and the fact that they've taken no actions to mitigate that speaks volumes.

Not only is it beautiful, but the rooms are great!! Spacious and comfortable and from my experience very well maintained. And they are dog friendly. One other thing to know is that in the morning they have a complementary coffee bar and there is also valet parking. Another thing that I like about this hotel is they have pretty art and pottery displayed throughout. Other things that I like about this hotel is it has a fabulous roof top restaurant with fire pits so you can sit sit outside and dine and look at pretty city lights! At sunset you would be able to see this mountain ranges! Very beautiful and romantic! The night that we dined here was a limited menu, which I do not know if that's always the case or if it was just particular night. What we did have for dinner was very satisfying to us. Also, if you did not want to eat at the hotel right across the street is a food court called Sawmill Market, which has a variety of food choices not only for dinner but for breakfast and some delicious coffees. There's also another restaurant across the street in case you didn't want to dine at the hotel. All are walking distance....so very convenient if you're just passing through. When I took my puppy out for a walk around the neighborhood I found some really pretty photo moments, which I have shared here.

I waited a really long time for a shuttle and the front desk wasn't taking calls. It kept ringing for 30 minutes and I was put on hold when I got through. At the front desk the lady in the front was busy doing administrative stuff before she finally said "let me take care of him first before...". (Which should obvious). But she was polite and friendly once she got to me. At the conference, both stalls and one of urinals were broken. My room AC was broken. Now the good... So they get points because someone came to my room to fix the AC quickly. When they couldn't the manager gave me his cell phone and offered to switch my room. The food was dry and tasteless but hey, I get free access as a platinum member so I won't complain. So there were so many things that I'm not even mentioning (first world problems). But I truly appreciate the effort and that -almost- makes up for it. Shuttle driver was great. I would try it here again... maybe next year do they have time to improve under new management.

Out the window, you could see for miles. The conference room - the reason we were there - was *not* great. It was difficult to follow the proceedings in our space because of loud noise from the next-door gathering. And multiple people complained that the large hallway smelled bad (sometimes my anosmia is a blessing). Many of the employees were kind and polite, but all it takes is one to spoil an overall impression, and that brings me to the bartender. Somewhat rude not just to me but to several people, and not a good listener, either: I ordered Dos Equis Amber, but got Negra Modela. I kind of regret tipping for that order.
