I really like that parking is included and not an extra charge like some hotels. We were located near a Target and lots of restaurants as well. Our room was located on the 12th floor and it was busy as the last ever Gathering of Nations was taking place at the fairgrounds. The employees whom helped us were very nice and efficient and checked up on us with a phone call once we got settled in our room. As for the room itself, it was perfect for what we needed. We had a great view of the city. The only cons we had was the HVAC system was not working properly. The room was very stuffy and no matter what temp we lowered it to (went all the way down to 60) the A/C did not kick in). The fan was working but not blowing any cold air (the hallway's A/C was working). I reported it to the front desk upon check out. The other item was the shower's knobs were located on the opposite side of the shower head and I had never seen that before. It was very awkward as the glass sliding door does not open on the side with the shower head. I felt that it was unsafe as you turn on the water but cannot feel the temp of the water cause it is on the other side. Overall, stay was good and it was pretty quiet other than hearing a couple of guests out in the hallway. I would stay here again if in the area.

And...wow..the interior of this hotel was magnificent! I loved the very interesting feel of it. Food for the eyes for sure! The bartender at a lobby greeted me immediately and he was very friendly and helpful with some food and drinks information there. I had a good chat while enjoying my evening snacks for sure! I had a guac + salsa...and I didn't expect it to be anything different..but..wow..the way they dressed the food..it felt worth more than $12 price tag for sure! Sorry, I forgot my phone in my car but...possibly the fanciest dressing of guac and salsa order I had in the longest time! The only minus was you have to find street parking or go valet (but..if you aren't there to stay..its probably not worth paying for the valet). Street parking is also likely harder to find downtown on weekdays. I got super lucky with one last parking spot that opened up across the street on a weekend day evening..so I snagged it and headed into the hotel. I thought this was a good way to check out the hotel for sure! I think if I needed to use up my quarterly credits from my credit card, this was a wonderful way to spend it for sure!

Can't remember her name. She made this stressful time so much brighter. We got to the hotel and then to our room. Rooms are amazing. Spacious. And very clean. Our grandkids were not on top of each other. And they loved sleeping on the sofa bed. We all got a good nights sleep. And the bonus is the hot breakfast that is provided. The coffee was amazing and the food was delicious. My grandkids enjoyed it all very much. I am certain we will be back to this hotel.

The front desk lady was very nice, and came up and changed the sheets and apologized and offered me a free ice cream, but damage was done at this point. I tried to call Hyatt Customer Support at the hotel, wanting a refund or partial refund, and they offered me enough points to stay in another two star hotel, No Thanks, my trust has been broken. I just want my money back! Sadly, Hyatt used to be a more high-end brand, and since this hotel was by the airport, I wanted a hotel that was more reputable. One other thing to know is that in the morning they have a complementary coffee bar and there is also valet parking. Another thing that I like about this hotel is they have pretty art and pottery displayed throughout. Other things that I like about this hotel is it has a fabulous roof top restaurant with fire pits so you can sit sit outside and dine and look at pretty city lights! At sunset you would be able to see this mountain ranges! Very beautiful and romantic! The night that we dined here was a limited menu, which I do not know if that's always the case or if it was just particular night. What we did have for dinner was very satisfying to us. Also, if you did not want to eat at the hotel right across the street is a food court called Sawmill Market, which has a variety of food choices not only for dinner but for breakfast and some delicious coffees. There's also another restaurant across the street in case you didn't want to dine at the hotel. All are walking distance....so very convenient if you're just passing through. I usually go out of my way to leave positive reviews because I know how much they help businesses…read more Unfortunately, I can't honestly do that here. The venue itself is beautiful, but our experience on the wedding day was incredibly disappointing. The communication leading up to the wedding was responsive and great, and our questions were answered promptly which we were very impressed with. However, responsiveness beforehand did not translate into execution on the wedding day. They reassured us that Marina was a certified wedding planner and that we didn't need to hire another one or a day of coordinator. That couldn't be more wrong. Our signature cocktail ingredients that we purchased ourselves and brought were misplaced. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, our family was led to believe they had forgotten to bring them. Several family members, and I during the wedding spent 30-60 minutes searching the venue and scrambling to find them or replacement ingredients. During the wedding they never offered to replace them or reimburse us for the hundreds of dollars they had lost. We had even spent time brewing tea specifically for the cocktails, which ultimately wasn't used either even though it was there. Before the wedding, I offered to batch the cocktails in advance to avoid exactly this type of problem. I was reassured that it wasn't necessary. When the missing ingredients were eventually found days later, we were asked to come pick them up after the wedding ourselves so they could be returned. There was no offer to reimburse us for the inconvenience until we pressed them for it. A simple phone call that night could've saved everything but there was no communication. If your guest count decreases before the wedding but they already charged you for plating or other things don't expect them to offer you a refund unless you press them for it either. When we arrived about 45 minutes before guests were scheduled to arrive, almost nothing had been set up yet, and the coordinator was in the office just eating. They ask you to assign your own friends and family to handle tasks that I expected the venue staff to coordinate. The reception tables were also not in the order requested. While we were still loading our belongings after the reception which was literally at 10pm sharp, the venue lights were turned off on us. I was literally loading things in my wedding dress with no help from the venue. My husband, the groom, also felt the bartenders hired from Nature Pointe were rude to him--on his wedding day! Also in general they don't allow caterers to cook anything on site so if you want anything that is supposed to be crispy or made on site, it's impossible, which makes the menu very limited. The "wedding planning" they offer is a sheet of vendors they know of and it's minimal and outdated. I understand that people have difficult days or personal circumstances, and I genuinely try to extend grace. Had someone simply acknowledged the mistakes, apologized, or attempted to make things right, I likely would have felt very differently. People often describe their wedding as one of the most important days of their lives. Thankfully, we were surrounded by wonderful family, friends, and incredible vendors who made the day special despite these issues. But many of the stressful moments we experienced were preventable. 3 months later I'm still disappointed and surprised that this all happened. If I were planning my wedding again, I would definitely choose a different venue AND not rely on reassurance that they have a day-of-coordinator.

We just came home from spending 5 relaxing nights at the El Rey Court in Santa Fe, NM…read more Being new to the Santa Fe area we explored its stunning Loretta Chapel, the historic Santa Fe Plaza and the Santa Fe Railroad Mexican restaurants. My favorite spot during our whole trip was returning to the El Rey Court every night. It is an escape in itself. The La Reina and its La Reina Mesita has the best Margaritas and food, which we enjoyed every night. The rooms are stunning and the outside lounge areas are filled with trees and cozy spots. The front desk and all staff were exceptional. We highly recommend the El Rey Court.
