Had a few moles on my face removed. Dr. Semion was very professional, very kind and easy to talk to. You can tell that he is an expert in his profession. Explained everything thoroughly and did his work so professionally and painless. They check the moles after removing them to make sure they are benign and inform you shortly. Thank you Dr Semion! Im new to the area and needed a dermatologist for this awful and painful rash on my face. The receptionist was so wonderful and squeezed me in two days later. The receptionist and staff were so kind and friendly. Dr Semion was wonderful! He was thoughtful, understanding and extremely reasonable. I don't have insurance so he took that into consideration and didn't prescribe expensive creams or allergy test. He gave me a shot, told me to take an allergy medicine and prescribed a topical cream. Within three days my face was almost back to normal! After taking the time to talk to me we discovered I was allergic to a plant. Thank you Dr for seeing me and taking such great care of me! I moved to the Sacramento area almost two years ago. I need a dermotologist that was not hawking skin procedures. Yea, I do those too, but it is secondary to being vigilant to catch skin cancer. I have blonde hair and fair skin and just turned 60 (well my elliptical still thinks I am 53. I lie about it all the time). In my youth, I thought baby oil and sun burn was a good thing. I had enough freckles to play connect the dots and be completely covered, and then I started to correct the damage. I read reviews and did research to find a local dermo to look at moles and spots and be pro active about removing or treating. Dr. Semion was thorough, professional, checked everything and removed many sun spots and barnacles (as I call them) and did find one spot that he felt needed biopsy. Sure enough, it needed to be treated topically first and checked down the road again. I am so happy with him and his staff, I am going to have my husband see him vs his Vet doctors. read more

Front office staff unprofessional and rude. Made appointment and asked to be put on waiting list. Dee Dee called back to indicate opening available. When I called back supervisor said opening available and answered some questions then said opening no longer available and never called back to re-schedule appt. Called today and was told too bad you can wait until March for your appt. and hung up on me. Wow, please do not use them, they obviously have enough customers to care about new ones and quite frankly they simply don't care about customer service. Ahh the words no girl wants to hear "Please come in without makeup". I've had my fair share of Dermatologist appointments so I know the drill. From PA's prescribing any kind of topicals instead of getting to the root of the problem, to waiting 4 months on the list to see an actual doctor. Due to the medicine I was on, needing a follow up, and recently moving to area I needed to get established with a Dermatologist. And let me tell you Dr. Semion is the best I have ever seen! I initially made an appointment back in October and was told I couldn't get in until March. Being used to this, they added me to the waitlist and told me they would call if a cancellation came up. Well it did, at least 3 times but due to my schedule I had to turn all of them down and keep waiting. Finally I was able to get in during early January and he lived up to every review about him being so friendly and caring. I spent over an hour and half with him. He went over every single thing I have tried to clear my skin up, and I mean everything! He sat with patience and understood what I already tried and did not want to try. What I appreciated the most about his approach is that it was old fashioned. He wants to get to the root of the problem instead of just masking it with topicals and antibiotics. To not feel rushed and leave without a bunch of stuff you already tried is refreshing. I take my skin care routine very serious. From facials every 2 weeks, to a $1500 infrared Blue light for home. So for me to constantly be coming back to a dermatologist I need to feel comfortable in knowing that he will continue to better my skin not just mask it. I have been coming here (Dr.Semion) for probably about 7 years now. The lounge is sufficient for a small practice but I feel like it's been going down hill which is why I give the 4 instead of a 5. Once you get to Dr. Semion he is awesome and there are 0 problems there. I had an 11am appointment and it's now 11:51am and I'm still waiting. A lady with a later appointment came in after me and after they told her they are 30 min behind (which they failed to tell me) she made a small stink and right away they had her in before me. The second reason why the 4 and not 5 is they told me they will no longer be doing Friday appointments. My days off are Friday and Saturday so now I'm forced to find another dermatologist somewhere else. Overall, love the doctor hate the Managment in the office. read more

Over the years I have gone to Doctor Semion 's office for many different reasons. Some of the reasons were emergency's other purely cosmetic. His "bedside manner" could not be more professional , caring ,with a relaxed concern. Dr. Semion is one of the top, if not The Top Dermatologist in Roseville. He has met me in his office early in the morning, before surgery to administer, Botox and variuos fillers to my face. He has also met me after regular hours , for many procedures or if I have an emrgency. He is knowledgable and practicle. Dr. Simeion has seen me thru a few crisis and always made me feel like everything would be OK, and guess what, he was right! His entire staff his both loving and professional. I am always greeted like I am a friend, not a number or a just another person walking thru the door. His office is very busy, but he seems to make time to take great care of all who walk thru his door. He is current with all the latest in "anti-aging" procedures for boomers and pre boomers, yet, cares for his more mature patients with such love and kindess, you can feel it in his waiting rooms. His staff includes his lovely wife, who helps him in the office. She is a very helpful addtion in making things run smoothly. I am a retired senior lady and was happy to find this doctor. No computers in his rooms, a written prescription pad and even a FREE sample of pain creme. Very efficient with his manner and took care of my skin problems, until the next visit. No pain during or after, at all. Small and clean office with a great staff too. Very pleased to read all of the reviews and made my right decision to see him. Took three months to get my first appointment, even when he works five days a week! So that should tell you something! I've seen Dr. Semion twice now for mole and skin tag removal. Recently he also did a small surgical procedure to remove a large mole and do a biopsy, which thankfully came back negative. Friendly, professional, etc. He also is willing to work with those who don't have health insurance, and is very reasonable in his billing, so there's no reason not to have something checked out. I had an examination at their office in Roseville and Dr. Alan Semion was actually the one who examined me. The whole examination process was done in a rush, he seemed very unprofessional,unpatient and unfocused to my case. Hopefully the other doctors that work there are more professional.
