Had a very first appointment with Alan J GMC Chevrolet Cadillac today. Met Jesus, our service advisor and Phil the service Director. Very professional very courteous very cordial and a real pleasure to meet them. They serviced our vehicle quickly and efficiently and the pricing was very reasonable, considering the Quality of doing business with the actual manufacturers dealership franchise. Facility was spotless and they accomplished everything in a very reasonable time as well. As an X automobile person for 30 years I know Quality in a dealership when I see it. Today I went to Alan Jay for just an oil change today. Got this out of the way. I had a fairly pleasant experience today. In the past, every time that I would call for an appointment they would want to schedule it 2, or 3 weeks out. I don't know what I'll be doing, that far out, so I would do it on the internet, it was much easier. Today I went there, and Mark said for me to call him directly. I'm not whining and want special treatment, it's just that I have a Corvette. And they have one mechanic that works on Corvettes. I'm from up north, where the dealerships all have multiple people who work on Corvettes, and they also do oil changes, on every make of cars on Saturday, first come, first served. And I know of one dealership in Toledo, that on Saturdays, if your not there by 8:00am, you won't get in, and they are open until 5:30 on Saturday, strictly oil changes. This is an update for previous post- Update: I was offered ceramic paint coating and that was completed (the salesperson made that happen). At the end of the ordeal I was charged well over sticker price, tag was not properly done (waiting for over $200 from tag office after 3 visits to correct), and was sold TWO items I never asked for nor was told about totaling $1200 (a useless service contract for 3 oil changes and a tire extended warranty that cost more than a pair of new tires would) Both contracts I cancelled myself, I DID NOT TRUST DEALER TO DO IT!! This occurred because original car that was under contract was delayed in delivery and I was offered a similar vehicle that had come into dealer inventory... new contract with the added above items. I specifically stated sticker price (high demand new model) with no markup. I was told that " we don't do that here (markup)". READ EVERYTHING!!! It is ultimately my fault for thinking that I was dealing with a reputable, ethical dealership. STAY AWAY!!! read more

I tried to buy a truck but Alan Jay can't get their crap together and do what's right for their customers....ever. This was the THIRD TIME those incompetent sales people in Sebring couldn't do their jobs. Instead, the next day, (after the Alan Jay corporate team failed to call me back like they promised they would in order to try and make their screw up right) I bought a High Country 2500 from a competent dealer over 2 hours away...a process that took 30 minutes by phone and they DELIVERED my new truck to my driveway that same day. Alan Jay and his stealerships should be embarrassed and out of business. Hands down the worst dealer I've ever dealt with. And that's saying a lot... I've owned over 30 GM cars and trucks! Sometimes life sucks! That was definitely the case when my brand-new car was t-boned. The good news was nobody was hurt. Even better, it was the other guys fault! The Alan J franchise is ginormous and behind this location is their Collision Services operation which is a fancy way of saying body shop. * My insurance company made an appointment for me. * They were expecting me when I showed up and the paperwork was minimal. * Kelly Drummond was a model of efficiency and quickly answered my questions. * The Alan J Courtesy Car quickly brought me to my rental car. * My car was beautifully repaired well within the estimated time. I scheduled an appointment for a factory recall and to fix the automatic window. Everything was fixed BUT no one contacted me that my truck was ready. I had to call and the service center was closed so I had to 1) pay on the phone and 2) use an Uber because the shuttle service was closed. read more

Worse than it was before. I took my vehicle here for warranty paint work and to have some body work done, a new spoiler underneath, etc. The fender was not installed precisely and caused a small area of paint from my door to come off. The spoiler rattles from the wind. They even "forgot" to provide me with the loaner car that I was entitled to. I was told to come back but when I called to verify I was getting a loaner car no one returned my call. I have emailed the manager, per his request but didn't get a reply! I am disturbed by this whole transaction. read more

Went there a couple of months back, to get an oil change, and a tire rotation. Before I left a service person said that two studs on my truck broke. They said that they must have been rusty. And they could fix, at my expense. I told them to give me the lug nuts, I'd drill out the broken piece, and fix it myself. They gave me the broken lug nuts, their was NO rust at all, I turned the broke pieces out while I was on my way home. Then I wrote a bad review. Within a day, I received a phone call from a Gary Ferry, he said that I was to bring it back, they would take care of it, because it was obvious that they broke the studs, and not because of rust. Well the hurricanes came, stuff got pushed back. Then I had a medical problem, and was hospitalized, and was told that when I was feeling better, to let them know, and I could bring it in to get it taken care of. I made a couple of calls, and was told that he wasn't available, and left messages. Then in the last 3 weeks, I have called numerous times, it went to voicemail. And I still haven't received a response. So, I guess that this review, I won't change. I'll still take my truck in to have the oil changed, and tires rotated, but I go to Lakeland a lot, I'll schedule my maintenance work @ Greenwood, or a Lakeland dealer. I'm still not cleared by the doctor to do much, but, I'll fix my own truck. I guess that you break it, I'll fix it read more

This review is for the Cadillac service portion of the dealership. An overall excellent job. I made an appointment and after arriving and explaining my problems, I was driven home. I got a call later in the day describing the results and cost. Within 30 minutes the courtesy car picked me up. The lady at the dealer went over the status and cost, also items that I may want to have taken care of later. All in all, total satisfaction for me. The car had been washed, and has been performing just fine. This was my first trip to Cadillac service in Florida, and helps to set a high standard for Sebring. read more

This is our third and final visit to Alan Jay this time while the advisor addressed me by name he never introduced himself, the vehicle was returned with grease all over the fender, the oil life was not reset, the tire pressures were not set, the supposed BOGO wiper blades that are advertised is a rip off they charged $23.00 for one at other dealers I have been to I have gotten 2 for that price so I don't believe they are honoring the advertised special. The cashier is as personable as a corps at least this time our vehicle was out front so I didn't have to ask where it was and bother her. I think this is the worst service I have ever received from a GM dealer. read more

Well I'm not sure what happened just found out that I can let you know that i paid 700.00 for this dhop to put 2 coils in my car which I supplied so they say no garrantee, asked the specialist to put fuel clamps on the return line where I replaced both lines myself. The clamp is still sitting where I told him they were never replaced hoses but chared me over two hundred to do just that???? After charging me to fix and read all codes 1 day latter codes are back and was told might be somthing else. Being a disabled person with limited income will never trust this shop with my car again I have receipt for the lines they charged me for and the car has more problems now then when I had before they say they fixed it also broke the cover inside door. My reciept says the manager would be calling for a review of satisfaction still waiting on that. This service/repair shop is why the car dealership is open... women beware old diabled people beware!!! read more
