They painted the car, completely, with the exception of a few lower panels. When I picked the car up, the paint job was excellent, as expected. BUT, after I got home with it, later that day, I was going over the paint job, and I noticed that both side windows, had been cleaned with some type of solvent. When I took the car back to show them, they INSTANTLY told me that the damage was from the sun. Come on, I was born at night, but not last night. The following weekend, I took the car to a couple of Corvette shows, with the windows down, I pointed out the damage, and told everyone, who did the paint job. I also told them that the reps from the body shop, both said that it was from the sun. Every person who stopped to look at the paint job, also stated, what I already knew, the damage is not from the sun, but a solvent. I waited for the phone call, to straighten this issue up. The NEW OWNER, never called me. Steve would have called the first day, and corrected the problem. The new owner,"Red", bought it from Steve, but doesn't run the business like Steve. The same employees are there, so the paint work, is still very good, but the customer relations, is gone. Steve took care of you. This new guy, appears that he's just after the money. I sought the advice of a large law firm. What they told me is, "if they are going to lie to me, and not take responsibility for what his employees actions, is not a place that can be trusted. I would expect any employee, admit their mistake, but Reds employee did not admit it. So, in the future, any kind of body work, on any of my cars, will NOT be done at Reds. I want to do business with companies that are honest, regardless of fault, on large, or small issues. I will continue to point this out to my friends, and people at car shows. I found pictures from before they painted it. But the pictures are not clear enough to see. I've always worked for companies, that were straight up honest companies. If I messed up, I told the truth, and it was corrected, with no repercussions against me. We were honest. At the body shop, when I went there to show them, one of the office girls told me to use Laquita thinner on the paint, to remove overspray. I STOPPED HER FROM DOING THAT, but I should have just let her do it. So, bottom line is, myself and a lot of people that I know, will no longer use, REDS, Artistic bodywork's in Sebring, Florida, Hwy 27, THE PAINT JOB IS VERY NICE, the HONESTY, is now gone. I worked my career being honest to customers, my parents taught me to be honest, and to not lie to people.

Stopped at one place and they did not handle exhaust but directed me on to Lake Placid Auto Repair. Never judge a book by it's cover. This shop looks small and crowded, what makes it amazing is the folks inside. I am a single woman in my 40s who knows nothing about cars. They could have told me I needed all kinds of work done and I would have believed it (that sound was scary). Instead the owner took a look right away, told me it was a quick and inexpensive fix. He had me on my way in less than an hour and for less than $50!!!!!! They will be my mechanics for as long as I am in Highlands County. What a hidden gem. I can't recommend them highly enough. An honest mechanic is worth their weight in gold.

Explained to him that i was driving from Miami and would appreciate an honest review of the car, wanting to know what problems the car had so I wouldn't be wasting their time as well as mine. He sent me a video, some pictures and stated that the car was in great shape. My wife and I were in the car the next day driving the 140 plus miles to their dealership. When we got there, we were greeted and told that the vehicle was being detailed. After about a 10 minute wait they brought the car around and it looked great from a distance. Upon closer inspection I immediately noticed the trunk lid, and rear bumper appeared to be freshly painted. The vehicles external flaws were told to me on the phone, so I knew what I was walking into. When I discussed on the phone the condition of the AC, he said it was working great. Upon inspection, it appeared that there was some type of foam sealant used on the ac accumulator. When asked about it the sales rep told us he knew nothing of that. While it blew cold, it was apparent that there was an issue at some time, but no one knew anything about it. I checked under the car and it also appeared since it was a North Carolina car, there was rust under the car which may have been why the rear deck lid and bumper were painted. I asked him why were they painted and I got what has to be the most ridiculous answer ever from a car salesman and I quote "We had them painted because the guys in the body shop had nothing to do so we gave them something to do" If that was the fucking case they should have done the whole car! Right then and there, we lost trust in both him and the dealership. We opened the trunk to find it extremely wet on both the carpet and deck lid. They took it back to the body shop and told us that they would let us know what the problem was. We left to go get something to eat and waited for their call. An hour and a half later I get a text that it was the studs holding the tail lights in and that it was fixed. Like I said earlier we lost trust with them, so we both decided to pass on the vehicle due to that loss of trust, NO MATTER HOW MUCH WE LIKED THE CAR! We both were quite pissed at the fact that we drove all that way fully expecting to leave with it, only to be mislead on what was actually wrong with the car. I called the dealership later to speak with the manager and left a message for Tim Masse the manager. I was told he would return my call, never did. Left another message yesterday, same result no call back. Left another this morning, still crickets. I'm sure that this dealership provides a great service to the local community that wants new cars? Used cars, another story. Would I do business with them? Not at this point. A simple inspection of the vehicle by one of their mechanics, listing what I found in a 15 minute inspection would have saved us a shit ton of time that I could have spent looking for an honest and reliable used car. I still cannot get over this statement; "We had them painted because the guys in the body shop had nothing to do so we gave them something to do" Think about that before you venture out to see what they have to offer. Just not right to bullshit a customer with cash to spend! Time to hit social media to spread the word....... They chose to delete my honest review so I added it again plus an update. Our company purchased an International Durastar Jetting truck from Nanci at S&N. She was extremely…read morecurt and pushy with the sale, and I should have trusted my gut. We made the mistake of going off the ad instead of viewing the truck in person. After a nightmare of back and forth dealing with their financing company regarding mistakes with the title and registration, we finally got the truck. When it arrived, the "new tires" the ad claimed the truck had were completely dry rotted to where it was not roadworthy. We immediately replaced the front tires and reached out to Nanci to see if there was something she could do, as the truck was advertised with NEW tires and we felt this expense could have been avoided. She was extremely defensive and rude, to the point she was practically yelling at us on the phone, and claiming we were insinuating that she was a "liar" and that her team must be "blind" if they didn't catch the dry rot themselves. We also noticed they removed the ad of the truck where they made this claim, and they normally keep all the sales ads up- confirming to us they knew their mistake and wanted to get rid of evidence. We had sent her pictures of the tires and the invoice and left the ball in her court. As a growing company we wanted a reliable supplier of jetting equipment, and it was up to her if she wanted a potential future customer for life. To give her credit, she eventually sent us the reimbursement for the tires. However, we hadn't even had the truck a week and it broke down, and is in the shop for repairs starting at a $20k estimate to get it working with a replacement parts lead time of 6 weeks. Not to mention we still do not have a title in the mail to get this truck registered. We purchased it at the beginning of the year and it will be obsolete until mid April. Needless to say we have learned our lesson purchasing from Nanci and S&N, and I hope others do not have the same experience. We have purchased a lot of used equipment without issues, and would recommend going elsewhere where they value their customers and will work with you to make things right (among supplying quality equipment that actually works). Especially, do not use Nanci.
