Our musher & his lead dogs
    Lisa T.

This is by far one of the best excursions we have ever been on. Everything was smooth; from pick up by Ozzy at the pier to his drop off in town at the end of the tour. (We opted to be dropped off in town, but we could have been dropped off back at the pier just as easily.). The pick up van was comfy, and Ozzy did an outstanding job of giving facts about Skagway, and at the same time involving the guests and making it humorous. We had about a 30 minute ride up to the mountain; the first half on our bus, and the second half on a large all-terrain Unimog up the steeper part of the mountain. After arriving at the actual camp we were divided into groups of 4-6 and taken on a 20 minute sled dog ride. (Since it was summer the sleds were similar to wheeled carts and the ground was a dirt path instead of snow.). The dogs were so cute & super-excited to get going. It was a fast, fun, comical, exhilarating adventure. The whole time the musher gave us more facts about mushing and his 16 unique dogs. After our ride we were allowed to take photos with the dogs, and pet the ones without yellow collars, (those were the least friendly/shy ones.) At the final stop we got to meet, pet & hold the musher puppies! They were just cute beyond words! There were multiple litters that were 5 weeks old to a couple of months old. They were cuter than words can describe....some were frisky & some were sleepy; but they were all 100% adorable! After puppy-time we went to the gift shop, where they had cute souvenirs, and also a small snack bar/adult bar. We had one beer to share since we had to finish it before the ride back down the mountain. The ride back down was just as entertaining & we were so happy that we booked this excursion! I highly recommend this company!

Ben is the best! Our trip was much more memorable because of him! He was amazing! So knowledgeable and there was never a dull moment with him. He connected with everyone on the tour with all his puns! Loved him!!! The mushers were awesome too!!! Thank you!! Big props to the entire team!!

I'm a huge fan of any and all dogs, and if you are too, this musher's camp is for you! Patrick and Emily were our guides and they both took such good care of us. Lots of information about the sled dogs, the sled dog pull, and (most importantly) play time with the puppies and even the working dogs said Hi too! Now my pup is an "Alaska Sled Dog" too! Thanks so much for a great experience. Well worth it!

I cannot say enough good things about this company and the people who work for it. Of all the highlights on our tour (there were many), this was the top top top TOP one. My family came to Alaska on a Disney cruise in August 2018. Alaska Excursions worked with us directly to make sure my daughter (7 years old) could participate. (The cruise line required that she be several years older in order to participate, but the excursion company itself had a lower age minimum. More on that later.) I'm so glad they went out of their way to help us out because it was the most amazing thing we have ever done together as a family. First, the drive out to the zipline site was very pretty. It took about 30 minutes. The area is stunning. It had been pouring rain all day, but the weather cleared up just in time for our adventure. (The zipline folks had mentioned to me that even if the rain had continued throughout Skagway, it often doesn't hit that part of the mountains, so we probably would have been fine either way.) We then took a short ride up the mountain in this supercool open air Jeep thing. It was fun. When we got to the top, we piled on the gear and immediately started ziplining our way around and down the mountain. We flew over gorges and streams, criss-crossed through the forrest, and eventually down the hillside. It was intimidating at first, but the four of us (children included) had no trouble getting into it. The instructors were very helpful and reassuring. Plus, they taught us lots of fun tricks, like how to flip off the platform and how to turn upside down (my son's specialty). As for the age... both of my children are fairly adventurous, so besides a few beginner jitters, they had not problem with any of it. (My daughter was too light at one point and had to be taken across one of the flatter lines in tandem with the instructor.) I felt safe, secure, and cared for. I feel that our cruise line was overly cautious in that respect. The instructors were mostly college students who were spending their summers in Alaska. I hope my son or daughter is this adventurous someday and will come to Alaska for their own summertime ziplining adventure! Otherwise, I highly recommend this amazing excursion. It was breathtakingly beautiful and so much fun.

Grizzly Falls Zip Line Adventure Grizzly Falls Alaska Excursions was one of the best experiences we've had while traveling! I have to begin with a shout out to our guides "Astronaut" (TJ) & "T-Rex" (Kevin). The two of them had so much energy & helped each & everyone of us find our "spirit animal" In our group alone we had a wolf, unicorn, lobster, giraffe, dolphin, lab, and an eagle. We always felt safe & the guides encouraged us to have the best time filled with laughter & thrills! This excursion made such an impression on me that I haven't even been home an hour & I had to write a review! Don't miss this opportunity for an amazing adventure while enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery in the world! Thank you Astronaut & T-Rex, you guys are the BEST!!!

Great Price, Friendly Staff. My husband and I were celebrating our 10 yr anniversary on a cruise and booked horseback riding excursion thru Royal Carribean. The whole experience was wonderful. Friendly Roxanne gave us a nice tour thru town before heading to the horse ranch. Then a very relaxing riding thru the woods with our funny staff leader Josh. I would definately go to this excursion again!

We have done this zipline 4 times now and I guarantee we will be back! Happy birthday again to Amy! The 2 of you (jarrod??) are really great people!!!!!!! The entire crew is great! We were zipping with another couple who didn't bring their camera. We have some incredible photos for them but we lost their info...is there any way either I could email the pics to you and maybe you can get it to them? Thanks again for another wonderful adventure!

This was a really great excursion! Honestly, I wasn't really looking that forward to it. It was more for my husband, since I have been zip lining over a dozen times. I am just starting to get bored with it. However, the experience here was amazing and I am so happy we went with this company!! It isn't the longest or highest ziplining, for sure, but the crew makes up for it. They encourage you to do flips and tricks and dance while you fly! It really made for a special experience. Also, the team was very nice and professional. The scenery on the way up is also very beautiful and I took some of my favorite photos on this trip!

The day was dry, clear, but blustery and our ship was the only cruise ship scheduled in port that day, normally 3 to 4 cruise ships are docked each morning for the day. The train accessed a rail spur allowing boarding near the ship, but the terminal in town is not a long distance if lacking mobility issues. Each car has outside viewing areas, and clean bathrooms, but unlike the staff, guests are not allowed to move between cars. If you spy an issue with your fellow rail car guests upon boarding like small screaming children I would change cars quickly after boarding. Even though water was provided with my fare I would suggest packing water jugs or bottles, and some nibbles ( I packed some yummy freshly baked cookies from a lounge on my ship) for the 3 hour ride, inexpensive snack boxes were sold on the return trip from the summit as were White Pass & Yukon Route ball caps for $15. Windows are large, but if you want the river view as you ascend the 20 mile climb to the summit then sit on the left side, when returning the right side faces the chasm. Ascending and Descending you should pass several White Pass Rail Trains so wave at your fellow tourists. Overall a nice experience for me, with great views. This is a seasonal experience that mirrors the Alaska cruise season, and it takes weeks to prepare the rail for each season.

Beautiful and Historic Ride, Worth the Experience! I have to…read moreadmit, I started this experience feeling a little stressed. We were sailing on the Star Princess and needed to be back on the ship by 4:30 PM, but our White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad train was supposed to arrive at 1:00 and didn't actually arrive until 1:25. Since it's about a three-hour ride, I was worried we might not make it back in time for sail away. Thankfully, we did make it back on time! As soon as we got on the train, though, I was able to relax and really enjoy the experience. It truly felt like stepping back in time. The narration throughout the ride was fantastic and filled with fascinating historical facts. I had no idea how many people once hiked that route or how grateful everyone was when the railroad was finally built. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and the whole experience was unforgettable. One funny note: I've flown on planes and cruised on ships without ever getting motion sickness, but somehow I ended up getting train sick! The constant back-and-forth movement got to me, even though everyone else seemed completely fine. That was just me and definitely not the railroad's fault. Overall, this was such a unique and amazing experience, and I'm really glad we did it. If you're visiting Skagway, I would absolutely recommend the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad!
