Capital Region Physical Therapy is as good as it gets. The owner, Brett Sears, is a master therapist. As noted on their website "Brett Sears, PT is the Expert Physical Therapist on Verywell.com? Since 2011, Brett has been writing articles on various PT-related topics." Brett knows all the proper and correct techniques and utilizes them perfectly. He is knowledgeable, highly skilled, and personable. In short a pleasure to work with. When Brett is on vacation I see another therapist here whose name is Sandy. Sandy has the warmest hands on the planet. Sandy also knows what she is doing and is a please to work with as well. The office's front desk person Taylor DeLong is extremely polite and efficient. The whole atmosphere here is one of competence and pleasantness. Following is another quote I have taken from their website: "At Capital Region Physical Therapy, we understand that your pain is personal, and your treatment should be. We only offer one-on-one rehab services for people of all ages. That means it is just you and your physical therapist. Always. We have available appointment times early in the morning and late at night. Some PT clinics may have you wait 2 or 3 weeks to make an initial appointment. Repsher physical therapy is such a caring place from the wonderful people that greet you in the office to all the therapists on the floor that guide you through your recovery. I worked with Brandon for 8 weeks and learned how to improve my back issues with exercises targeted to strengthen my muscles and core. He was amazing and has helped me so much! So, I decided to try them one more time hoping that maybe their billing staff had improved. They actually messed up the billing yet again. They sent me a copy of the insurance company billing instructions I had given them for my file. It specified the name of the insurance company and the exact address and contact information. They ended up sending the billing to a completely different insurance company - that has been out of business for many years - totally ignoring the information they acknowledged they had in my file. Although they have some terrific PT folks their ongoing billing errors create more aggravation than I am willing to deal with.,

They take time to diagnose, discuss, and apply sensible programs. They keep on the ball by tailor-making the procedures and then "up the stakes" as the client improves. The person's needs and abilities are honored; yet there is also firm and respectful nudging to up his or her efforts. Conor, Joe, and Trish have friendly personalities. Over the years I've gone to many PT providers. These are the best! Dr. Traudt examined my needs and correctly directed me into PT. After that, he cordially keeps in touch with words of advice and support. Dr. Fitzgerald is taking excellent care of my wife, and shares her care with PT Trish. There was a lot of swelling and my surgeon had prescribed meds and an injection but nothing worked. I also was prescribed physical therapy which I had done by a different provider. No help. Then I discovered this provider and, fortunately, I have been seen by one of the partners Dennis Judd. The man is a wizard. In short order he found the specific cause of my discomfort and started working in it. Within 4 sessions my pain has considerably diminished! I know Dennis has close to 50 years of experience- and it is quite apparent. I give Dennis my highest recommendation.

I finally decided that I was going to have to see someone about it and was going to go with physical therapy and Melissa suggested that I try Dr Barr as Adam had gone to him years before and he was so great that Adam had been fine ever since. So, I decided to go give him a try. The store is a bit out of the way for me, it is past crossgates mall and bfs in a small strip mall and around the side, last on the row. When I went in, there were a Lot of people waiting and his receptionist was out sick. He doesn't have appointments and takes you first come first serve and I had no idea what to expect. I was so very very pleasantly surprised. He came out and spoke to all of us, assessed all of our separate and unique situations and directed us all to the proper location (like giving me paperwork, sending a woman that was in extreme pain into a room to lie down, talking to 'mattie' about how his backbelt was helping, another about her physical therapy options...he was impressive to say the least.) So after telling him about my issues and he did some tests on my reflexes and such, he had me lie on the mechanical table and after raising it up, put some warm towels on my back and had me relax. I was able to listen to his interactions with the other patients, including the adjustments he was doing for them, one of them grunted loudly and he replied in a stage whisper 'shush. you will scare away the new patients.' he was funny and very efficient. Then he came in and poked me in a few places and it made me yelp (not in a good way) then he put a few braces under my sides and pressed on those places again. No pain. so he explained that i was twisting myself in the wrong way when i turned my head and worked etc. he then pressed down on my back in a few places - no pain. I stood up and there seriously was no pain. He took a photocopy of my insurance card, wrote me a script for an x-ray and sent me on my way. All i can say is that i think he is absolutely amazing and a really cool guy. Thank you Adam. (and Missy.) If your back hurts or your neck or hips etc. go here. you may have to wait but it will be totally worth it.

I am grateful to still have this team as a partner as we prepare for the birth of our 3rd child. With two young children and a busy schedule, they have been wonderful to be considerate and reach out to me if there are any cancelations for the day. Please wait for your therapist to come get you. At 2:15 pm my therapist Kavitha called me stating we had an appointment at 2pm. I state yes, I've been waiting in the waiting room for 25 min. Told I'm in the wrong waiting area; that's not her waiting area. Well how am I suppose to know. It's my 1st visit. Filled out pelvic floor questionnaires on their website, then a portal sent via email, then the therapist reviewed my answers with her. Before I was leaving I was handed the same questionnaire and asked to complete it before I left. Then she asked me if I had sessions scheduled already. Now why would I schedule sessions when it was my first time being there and evaluated. I was referred there for pain management in my left side due to a fluid cyst. Therapist spent more time on my 27 year old c section scar area that has never caused me pain or discomfort. She wanted to do an internal exam. I declined. She said well maybe next session I'll feel more comfortable and will give her permission. I told her no; it'll never happen. I arrived w/o pain; left with chronic pain on my left side where the internal cyst is located. Not sure if I want to give it another chance. Gut feeling it's not for what I need. Started off either way way too many negatives.
