EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED after being a patient here for more than 10 years…read more I contacted Lil Cicero Medical Group on September 3 because I was experiencing an ear infection/swimmer's ear and requested eardrops. I was told my established doctor could not simply call in the prescription and that I was required to schedule a telehealth appointment. I did exactly what they required and completed my telehealth appointment on September 8 at 10:00 a.m. The appointment itself was concerning. The provider appeared unfamiliar with the telehealth camera equipment, so the appointment ultimately had to be completed by telephone. During the call, the provider sounded extremely unsure and did not inspire confidence in the care I was receiving. I was nevertheless told that an antibiotic and eardrops would be sent to my pharmacy. It is now SEPTEMBER 16 AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE THE CORRECT MEDICATION. I have called this office MORE THAN 40 TIMES trying to get this resolved. FORTY+ CALLS for medication that I was told would be prescribed after an appointment I already completed. I have spoken repeatedly with a woman at the nurses' station who has been incredibly kind and helpful, and I absolutely want to acknowledge her. She has sent message after message and email after email trying to help me. Unfortunately, she apparently cannot make the responsible provider actually respond and resolve the problem. I have also called the on-call number multiple times, left messages, and still have not received appropriate follow-up. This is completely unacceptable. I have been a patient here for OVER 10 YEARS. I should not have to repeatedly call a medical practice, chase down providers, communicate back and forth with a pharmacy, leave unanswered messages with an on-call service, and practically beg someone to properly handle a prescription after I already completed the appointment they REQUIRED me to have. I originally called about this problem on SEPTEMBER 3. Today is SEPTEMBER 16, and because I still do not have the correct medication and am continuing to have problems with my ear, I am now having to seek medical treatment elsewhere just to receive care for something I contacted my own doctor about nearly two weeks ago. That is absolutely ridiculous. The lack of communication, follow-through, urgency, and continuity of care has been shocking. My experience has raised serious concerns for me about how this practice handles telehealth visits, prescriptions, patient messages, and after-hours/on-call concerns.
