We had great experienced with Mr. Albert Nahman Plumbing, Heating and Cooling services for the past 10 years. 2 days ago, I called for a plumbing problem for our tenant and scheduled an appt the next day. The technician, Salvador G. came early, on time. He called me to let me know he's on his way. He fixed the plumbing problem, the tenant was very happy with the work. Salvador called me to Let me know the work was finished, sent me pictures via email of before and after the Job. This young man was very kind, polite and most of all knowledgeable of any kind of plumbing problem. He sent me the description and invoice of the work done. The job was done on schedule and at a very fair price. I highly recommend this company for plumbing and also for HVAC. They also installed a new furnace heater 2 months ago, they did a great job and completed the job on time... thank you for the great service!!! read more

Do not let them do the $79.00 "inspection"! They found an actual problem (small drip from very old galvanized water pipe). We got bids on a "pex" replacement and when we told them theirs was too high the bid was magically lowered. We were the fools who took the lowest bid. What we thought was a "repiping" of our house turned out to be a "partial repiping." So the drip was fixed but a lot of old galvanized piping remains. And here's the bad news: the new pex piping was inadequately attached to the floor joists under the house and the installer removed many sections of furnace ducting to work down there and run the new piping. So we found that one of our heater registers had no heat/no attachment to the furnace duct! Hot air blowing into the crawl space.... So we have paid someone to reattach the piping and the ducts. And when the "new piping" was done I subscribed to the annual maintenance agreement. This is a total scam! No work is done under this agreement. It is only an opportunity for Albert Nahman "technicians" to try to up sell various filters and improvement systems. And the "inspector" missed the heating duct problem.... Avoid the big yellow truck! Do not let these guys into your house! read more

Albert Nahman installed our Heating/cooling system 9 years ago when we first bought our house and they were awesome then. Today, I experienced the "new" Albert nahman post-acqusition. Although the timeliness and service I received was good, it was expensive and the "process" left a bad taste in my mouth. My Carrier system started sending me warning messages about a motor issue for the furnace in the afternoon. Albert Nahman was able to send someone first thing in the AM. Within 30mins they were able to confirm that I needed a new motor. This is where the "upsell" started. First, they noted that I don't have a "membership". membership would give me a 15% discount on the needed fix (the fix was ~$3.5M so the discount was chunky). Second, they noted that if I don't have a membership, I may not get the last of the motor that's in inventory nor get the fix scheduled within the day (fix might not happen this week) . which is a lot of words for "pay to play" .... in other words, if I didn't pay for the membership I wasn't going to get my furnace fixed today. This felt sooooooooo icky. why make the poor service guy act like a friggin scam artist instead of letting them do what they're best at, install and fix things! What does the membership do? it gives you an annual maintenance checkup and 15% discount on services/purchases. The checkup doesn't cover actual service, just checking to make sure that things are working (which of course translate to a potential service call!). So if they're marking up all their services/purchases by 15% to sell membership, then "membership" is just free money for AN to extort out of potential clients who are very likely in a difficult situation (unlikely to call unless it's an emergency like the heater is not working when it's cold!). While AN got my system fixed today.... I'm not going to trust AN going forward but will start looking for alternatives to support our annual checkup/maintenance of our heater/cooling systems read more

Labor costs aside, Naham's inability to fulfill a manufacturer's warranty for parts should have been disclosed at the sale. A Nahman's install turned out to be just as valuable as Uncle Joe picking up a unit at Home Depot and slotting it in himself. Lennox directed me to a company that did a prompt and competent repair with NO COST for the (warrantied) parts. And labor costs that were less than Nahman's estimate. Nahman's dismissal of me as "emotional" only confirms and should warn how utterly condescending and sexist this company is. read more

I don't leave reviews lightly, bad or good, and I removed my initial review a few weeks ago because a couple of the people who finally helped me, Charles and Gilbert, were kind and leaving bad reviews sucks. But here's the thing. I still only have hot water for a fiveish minute shower and about half of the dishes when I do them. I called 11 days ago, just checked, and they sent someone out pretty fast, I think it was three days. The technician was great, he said the problem was a broken part in the hot water heater and that he'd need to have it ordered and that'd take a couple days. That was seven days ago now. I called yesterday, the person said he'd email management (email???) and that they would get back to me. I waited yesterday and today and just contacted them at the end of the day. The person who took my call said that management hadn't replied yet. This has been exhausting. I so wish I'd gone with a reliable and responsive company for a such a major home appliance, the failure of which is considered an EMERGENCY - google it. Which reminds me, when one of the technicians was trying to help me and talking to another colleague to try to get the right tradesperson out here, literally had to remind the person on the other end no she can't wait she doesn't have any hot water this is an emergency. Our house had a leaky shower head, a leaky kitchen faucet and a leaky outside faucet. One plumber refused to make repairs in our house. He said the house is so old that it needs repiping, and he refused to fix the kitchen faucet because getting into that would cause issues throughout the old pipes. Plus he's allergic to our cats. Couldn't get two other plumbers to come that day. Then I called Albert Nahman and they were able to send someone that day. Two hours later I got a call that the plumber was on the way. I also got a web link so I can track his travel to our place. Nick quickly found the plumbing issues we had, and said he would repair some with new washers, and replace the leaking faucet outside. He did have to get some fixtures from the hardware store, and he came right back and had everything fixed within an hour and a half. He was very professional and answered all our questions as he described the repairs to us. He fixed our issues just like our dad would have. So we will call them again if we have any other issues! They made an appt. for the next day and the technician came at the time expected. The technician, Salvadore Garredo, was excellent! Extremely disrespectful technician ignored our multiple request and walked through the house in his muddy and dirty shoes. Granted it is not easy to find parking. There was street parking available a block away, but the technician didn't want to park far so he decided to park in the shared driveway, blocking access for us and our neighbors. Alternatively, if he needed to park close, we would have gladly moved our car for him to park in our spot. Even when we moved our car, he didn't park in our spot and continued to block our driveway. We've used this company for many years. Never again. Called them to service a wall heater they installed in our house 2 years ago. It wasn't a cheap heater. It was what they suggested. They came out a couple of times and were unable to figure out the problem. They then told us that they wouldn't support the product (heater they installed). Every Repair is an Unwelcome Invitation to Upsell. We had a leaky hot water valve under our bathroom sink and I shut the valve to stop the flow. All that we needed was to fix the leaky valve. The plumber arrived while I was out. First he told my wife that he couldn't tell which valve was leaking because they were both dry. (Really the fact that the cold water was on and dry and the hot water was shut off wasn't a big clue?) He told my wife both valves needed to be replaced and while he was at it,both hoses, despite having 2 armored hoses already. They exploited my wife's insecurities with these bogus "recommendations" to the tune of $900,and that included a coupon for $50 off! I will NEVER hire them again. read more

This is an update of a previous review from 11/17/25. Albert Nahman Co. contacted me some days later and they offered to cover the cost of the labor for a replacement faucet cartridge. It was later determined that the entire valve assembly had failed necessitating, not only a whole new faucet assembly, but in order to access the plumbing it required removal and replacement of the part of the shower wall and tile. Albert Nahman 's service manager, Jeff really came through for me on this issue. They covered the cost of all the labor, which was extensive. Their technicians were prompt, kept the areas clean, did a respectable job with repairing the tile, and most importantly, everything is working again. I am revising my rating to 5 stars. read more

I had my shower drain start leaking. I called and requested the drain be replaced. An Albert Nahman plumber came over and said he could fix the drain with silicone. He did that and it stopped leaking for about a month. When it started leaking again I asked for the drain to be replaced. He came back when my wife was home and said he wouldn't replace the drain because it wasn't leaking when he tried to run the water in there shower. That night I took a video of the drain leaking. He came back the next day and said we shouldn't replace the drain, he could fix it with more silicone again. Now here we are 2 months later and the drain is leaking again. Save yourself some time and money and find a different plumber that will fix it the right way the first time. read more

I received good service but it was expensive. You pay by the type of repair, not time and materials. Plumber looked up the job on an app. Is your pipe really easy to replace because of where it is located, etc? Well, the plumber won't have any flexibility to charge you less. Plumber did 2 small jobs in under an hour, well under $100 in parts - replaced a broken pipe under kitchen sink and replaced a stopper apparatus in a bathroom sink. Total was $909. You'll pay $79 for the estimate if you decide not to take their offer. read more

Jared from Albert Nahman made a thorough check of our home when our tanked water heater went out. He suggested a tankless heater that would save in energy costs and also get hot water into our second floor kitchen and bathrooms and third floor bathroom faster so we wouldn't waste water. His crew, Moises and Freddie, arrived as scheduled two days later and did an excellent job with the installation. They did a clean and neat job on the wall mount and moved the ventilation pipe within our garage. Now we have hot water much faster and we hope that our gas bills will go down as well. Addendum after a call from the GM. Jerry Owen, the new GM, called and I spoke to him for a period of time. He was sincere as he knows they have some issues to address. To his credit he offered to credit me the entire cost of repair. I told him that was not necessary as they did the work and the technician/they should get paid. He cut the repair cost in Half and I agreed to that. I appreciate the fact that they're trying to fix the problems that the new owners have caused. I hired Albert Nahman to repair a furnace that wouldn't start. First, the technician arrived late (not a huge deal), but then things went downhill. He replaced a part that didn't fix the issue, then said another part needed to be ordered, promising it would arrive in two days. A week later, they were still "waiting" for the part. I called dispatch over 10 times and they were completely unhelpful - unable to provide a clear status and constantly referring me back to the original technician, who was rarely available. Attempts to escalate to a manager went nowhere, as the system seemed designed to prevent speaking with one. Out of frustration, I called another company. Their technician fixed the furnace in under an hour and was baffled at how the Nahman tech missed such a basic issue. I never heard back from Nahman. It was clear the technician didn't know what he was doing, and the company had no interest in making it right. They've lost my business for good. read more

Outrageously expensive. The guy who came to my house was competent and sounded like he could do the repair, but the estimate he gave was crazy based upon the time estimate. I found another plumber who fixed the issue for less than half what Albert Nahman Plumbing quoted. I won't use them in the future, and do not recommend unless you have plenty of $$$ to waste. Edit: I am not interested in talking to Tyler G. Albert Nahman Plumbing is owned by PipedDreams Ventures, a venture capital firm. This firm is rolling up independent plumbing companies in order to create a big corporate operation. The overhead must be huge and they are scraping big margins for profit - my guess. Incompetent Albert Nahman installed a tankless water heater outdoors (documented) on the side of the house at 22 Highgate Road in Kensigton, CA and made a rookie mistake. It is also a code violation (406.9B). They plugged it into an outlet that was not protected with a " in-use" (aka hood cover) for wet locations and every time it rains the expensive, top-of-the-line water heater they sold (Navien NPE-240A2, SN: 2087X2371819990) stopped working and result is leaving the family without hot water for weeks. Installing the right cover is very quick and simple, but it is not for the simple people working at Albert Nehman. Please stay away from these amateurs and save yourself the trouble of dealing with people that take advantage of the elderly. read more

TJ Zamarripa from Albert Nahman Plumbing visited 2-4pm to re-seat toilet. He said he couldn't do the work immediately, as his truck had been robbed where he lived in Antioch. He came back later and reported that the sewer drain was blocked, and left parts etc. for another technician to visit for this problem and re-seating the toilet. Marshawn Kieon Simpkins came later on same day to augur the sewer drain, after estimating $1200 for the job including re-seating the toilet. He then reported that the toilet base was cracked. He went to get a new toilet from Home Depot, returning with a toilet (Kohler Santa Rosa Complete Solution, Rev 360 one-piece with 360 deg. flush, K=32901-0 White). The toilet was very heavy and awkward for him, so I recommended using a dolly, which he then did. After the work. I gave him a check for $1402.41; he said a receipt and statement would be emailed to me. After 8 days, I haven't received a receipt. The toilet works well. read more

They came to fix a valve, busted a pipe and charged us $4500. We still don't have water 24 hours later and were just told they could fix the problem for an additional $16,000. These people are unscrupulous and do not care about the customer . We were told by another plumber that it would cost us $6000 to fix the issue. The old toilet had to go. Years ago I would have gotten a new one myself and just figured it out. I'm so glad I called Albert Nahman. Chris was our plumber for this task, and he did a terrific job. He listened, gave thoughtful advice, and then got the job done quickly, including a sparkling cleanup. Yes, it was pricey, but not a huge amount more than other plumbers. Just remember that (a) they are plumbers, so they cost; (b) the job got done quickly; and (c) I have great confidence that it was done right . Some negative reviews rightly, I think, point out that this outfit might suggest replacement over repair. On a previous project, they suggested thousands for some work, involving replacing some fixtures; I figured out how to repair it myself for $40. This time, in contrast, I was sure we needed a replacement, so Nahman was the right choice for me. read more

I never write negative reviews, but I feel the need to warn the other consumers who might be scammed by this company and also to let the company itself know what they are doing wrong. The problem is DISHONESTY to the point of feeling like a scam. $6000 for a water heater replacement including some kind of city permit fee of $450 is just pure greed. My HOA board had never heard of such a permit, and they were appalled by the number. They gave me a recommendation for a second company right away, and the latter fixed the plumbing issue in 5 minutes (it was just a minor issue with a valve) with the base fee of $200. The Nahman guy was nice enough, but he went off explaining for a long time about why he wanted to replace the whole heater, and now it all feels like a scam. i contacted Albert Nahman for sewer lateral repair on April,2025. The guy came, inserted this pipe w/ a camera & said it would cost me total $11000. And it was a discounted price!! I was heavily pregnant & since this was my first time dealing w/ anything related to the plumbing services & this guy explaining using all those plumbing terminology that made me feel like he was being truthful. my pipe that was repaired was only few meters long. Even the guys that did the main labor gave me a surprised look when I told them how much it cost me. I recently had a chance to go through the Paperwork I received prior to home buying & Everest company had already inspected & quoted $5000. I feel cheated by Albert Nahman. I am now working overtime staying away from my newborn trying to pay the hefty price. I hope that guy from AB reads this and know how his greed and lies is making a new mother go to work while she is still recovering physically and mentally. read more

I had several items to be completed for about 6k estimate they provided. I called Albert Nahman on Monday 1/7/25 regarding 2 issues: replacement of a Hot Faucet unit and a leaking kitchen faucet. I received a live person response within 2 hours. The next day (today) a technician, Javier, came to our house. He quickly diagnosed the leaking kitchen faucet. He uninstalled / installed the new Hot Faucet unit. It turns out there was a secondary problem, a broken InSinkErator heater. Javier only charged us for a dispatch fee ($79) which was more than fair. The Company and Javier exceeded my expectations, and I give them a 5-Star Rating. read more

To my surprise, on the morning of Memorial Day, my toilet overflowed, but I was thankful that I was a few steps away and avoided any damage to my floor and ceiling below! Even though the water had stopped rising, I was nervous about using the toilet the remainder of the day and the entire night, and wanted a plumber to troubleshoot and make sure there were no major issues, including having to buy another toilet! Smh I called Albert Nahman plumbing services and spoke with Rick who provided excellent customer service, and told me James would be coming out the next day and would be arriving between 10 - 10:30 AM.) Although I was a little annoyed that I received a voicemail message, (and a few minutes later- a text message at 8:05 AM) from the office the next morning saying James was "on his way," he did call me prior to his arrival and gave me enough notice to get ready for the appointment. Needless to say, James provided excellent customer service - with a smile. After dealing with previous service providers for different issues in my home, James was a breath of fresh air... He was professional, kind and courteous, knowledgeable, informative, honest, and helpful. He answered my questions and gave me tips regarding avoiding any future issues with my toilet. He provided excellent customer service. I was appreciative that Rick dispatched James to my home. I had the peace of mind that I was looking for in this stressful situation. As I told James at the end of the appointment, we need more people like him as service providers dispatched to our homes.
