First of all, this review is for people who are used to going to typical auto shops. You'll have a better experience if you know what you're getting into. Alberto's isn't your typical automotive shop. There's no waiting room and it's kind of difficult to find. That being said, the father and son who run the shop were very nice and efficient. My husband took our vehicle in for an oil change. The price wasn't cheap, but it seemed about what other shops were quoting so it was fair. And everything is more expensive right now. It's always scary trying to find a new automotive place. We picked Alberto's because the Yelp profile said they had a waiting room and their reviews were good and they had supposedly been in business 20 years. I think their Yelp profile needs updating because they don't have a waiting room and the father told us they've been in business 2 and a half years and the son said 4 and a half but Yelp said 20 years. So we don't know what to believe, but they did a great job! :D I don't want to give the wrong impression. We would go back there again for an oil change. We prefer supporting small businesses. I just think you need to be aware of what you're getting into so you're prepared for what the experience will be so you don't judge them too harshly. read more

"Alberto JR" this young man is a pleasure to do business with. I have had used his services a total of 3 times in the past year or so including today. Don't let his youth fool you. he is quite knowledgeable and capable of fixing whatever you throw at him. He is like having that mechanic friend that can do it all. Found Alberto's business via FB, just around the corner from my house. Dealer estimate for repair was 2,100. I purchased the needed part and Alberto (younger) handled the repair for a much more fair price. Very knowledgeable mechanic that I will visit again for future mechanical needs. read more

Got my 40k Maintenance done on my 2023 civic, checked and replaced spark plugs, requested for coolant flush. They checked my brake fluid and replaced my brake pads, cabin filter and air filter. Both men I spoke to were very respectful toward me and the price was reasonable. Would recommend. read more

I messaged them ahead of time to see if they'd be able to squeeze me in during a holiday week and they were quick to respond and fit me in. I was experiencing some squeaking when I braked, so they offered a free consultation. They are operating out of a residential address at the moment, but were happy to guide me when I called to ask for clarification because I couldn't see any signage. During the consultation, they walked me through everything, explained how the brakes work and what could be causing the noise. I felt like I had a good understanding how what was going on. They ended up giving me a fair estimate so I went ahead with their service. Despite dropping off the car around 1pm the day before Thanksgiving, they gave me a call on Thanksgiving to let me know it was actually the rear brakes instead of the front so they'd need an extra day to get the parts because of the holiday. They called me around 1pm on Friday to pick it up. Brakes are now great and no squeaking! Paid about $380. Did notice about a $20 difference in hourly labor costs from the estimate at time of pay, but all good. Overall, Alberto and his son are fair and honest. Great experience! The younger Alberto took a look at the problems with my lights, showed me the issues, told me my options, fixed the problems, and off I went. Very professional operation. I am so lucky to have found this place. I called and explained what was going on with my car. Through the phone he gave me a quote for what he thought the cost would be. The price quoted was unbeatable. I had spend a better part of my morning calling places to get an idea of how much it would be. I knew it was a transmission problem and that usually means $$$$. To start everyone was charging $100-$150 to inspect my car. Some places stated that the inspection price would go towards the repair, but what if they quoted me $1,500 and I couldn't afford it. There goes my $150. Alberto's inspection was free of charge and on top of the quotes I did get over the phone his charge was $400-$500 cheaper!! Throughout the day he sent me pictures through text of what he was doing and the parts he was changing. His English is not so good, but I understood him well enough . I hope nothing but good business to this man and his employees because they fixed my car for a price I could afford. read more

I'm giving Alberto and son my highest rating. After an unfortunate encounter with a curb, my 97 Saturn had a damaged transmission housing. I found a donor transmission and Alberto built me a rebuilt one out of my old one and the replacement. I just got it home today and it's working perfectly. I had gotten quotes from other shops and they wanted double and triple the price for the outstanding job that I just had done by the dynamic father/son team of the Alberto's. Their shop is brand new, and is still a work in progress. But they realize that and are most understanding. Open every day except Sunday, and churning out one satisfied customer after another. You'd have to be crazy to go anywhere else, and I know plenty about cars, as a car builder and racer from the 70's. But this particular job was beyond my abilities anymore, and I found the right men to help. Thanks guys, gonna miss you when I move back home later this year! read more
