NO ! NO ! NO! NO! NO! When this business can not get you to agree to their outrageous diagnosis and or diagnostic price demands. They will threaten you to, ..... pick up your vehicle before the end of the business day or they will charge you for storage that day as well as the next day or until you pick up your vehicle from their property. Mind you I was working in the valley that day and had to drive all the way back up the hill to meet their extortion demands for my vehicle SO, SO, SAD! They attempted to charge me $163.00 for a simple vacuum pump that only cost a $97.99 at O'Reillys AND much cheaper on Amazon. When I disagreed the threats started coming. There are so many other legitimate business that will not extort you for $140.00 on a simple diagnosis and or Diagnostic !!! Today's vehicles easily inform you what's wrong. Been a customer for two repairs already. The first one was about three years ago for a check engine light. They fixed it, no issues, and everyone there was super nice. The second one was more recent, for the rack and pinion. At first, I was hesitant since it was a big job, and I even joked with the lady like, "Are you really sure? What if that's not the problem?" But she assured me, 100% confident, and she was right. Car's running smooth, like new. They were also really accommodating with pickup. Worst place I've ever been horrible people especially Gary and Brenda. I took my car in for an oil pump replacement and lifters then they added a bunch of other things and charged me $5,800 They Ruined my 2021 Dodge Charger R/T . They had my car for over 2 months and caught it on fire god only know how that happened he ruined my differential from joy riding it from 9pm to 3am doing donuts and burnouts with my Hemi straight up Ferris Bueller's Day Off. When I got it back he forgot to put parts back in the engine and I lost 5 quarts of oil just driving down the street the cab filled up with smoke and it was coming thru the seat belts into the cab I haven't seen anything like it ever my oil pan leaked my air conditioner didn't work the differential was howling because of all the donuts. He burned up my tires in the back rotated them and burned up the front tires too there's fire retardent everywhere from the fire. This guy should never touch a car ever again. Then he says, bring it back in To paint the hood and by this time I don't trust the guy for nothing Im definitely not bringing it back i wasn't about to have another Ferris Buellar's Day Off again. I had to take it to another shop And pay another $4,800 to fix his mess. The Shaft Shop that guy did an excellent job repairing everything that Quartzhill Auto Care ruined. I have driven past this place many times over the years and I finally needed service for my rear brakes. The service was excellent. I had an appointment and they started immediately. I brought my own parts but I was told that I need extras. (Brake drums) I knew they were correct in letting me know that they were extremely worn, so I let them replace them. My car was covered under carmax warranty, I couldn't get an appointment at carmax in a timely manner so I was able to make my appointment at this auto shop which is approved under carmax's max care. I dropped my car off on a Thursday and Friday morning QH auto called me back to let me know that my ac compressor and thermostat needed to be replaced. They aren't open on weekends and didn't have the parts so I had to get a rental (also covered by my warranty.) The receptionist at QH auto was amazing and gave me advice on how to get the most coverage with my rental car and told me to call her back if I had any issues. She was very knowledgeable and went out of her way to facilitate me picking my car up the following week. My car was fixed by Monday and is running great. Would bring my car back here for any future issues for sure! read more

Finding an honest mechanic is difficult. This place is solid, they know exactly what to do. They fix my car and my tamiles. We've been coming here for 2 years and we continue to be satisfied with their work. They also guarantee their work for 90 days I believe. The blonde lady at the front desk is the sweetest, I believe her name is Nicole. She has an eager to help attitude and is super sweet. To be honest, this place exceeds my expectations. Their work ethic is high. When I take my car for a basic oil change, they top off all of the fluids, they do a general check on my car, inspect the tires and much more. I don't even want to mention the prices. They're reasonable and give u a quote that's honored for 30 days, no fees for inspecting your vehicle either. Hello yelp... Why trust someone? Only because you have to. But don't trust these guys with your car! Check engine light problem!!! Took my van to them because it's a big shop, being new in Lancaster it made sense. I was wrong... one thing let to another they wanted more money, warranty gave them more money, and still had the audacity to get me for more money! Mind you the light is still on!! Wtf! So between what I paid, and the warranty paid, they got about $2000. Check engine light is still on!!! Now to top it off they return the van back said it was something else , now the AC don't work. Not coincidentally Brenda (Brenda is the one that understands my frustration and where I'm coming from but don't know nothing about cars... less then me even) it's something you guys did! They didn't fix anything. Light is still on. Bottom line 2 types of auto repair shops. The ones who are stand up , and care , and these guys who don't care but pretend to. Went in for an oil change ...when they were down my car leaked oil everywhere ...so they took my car back in. 1 week later my car is leaking motor oil we just noticed it because it stoped raining. I was taking my car to them to check it out and my car died in the middle is the street in front of their shop. So went inside the shop to let them know what happend and if they can check my car and this big bold man said to me "sorry I cant see your car until Friday" I did express to him that I got stranded right infront of the shop but he didn't care. That's awful! I had to wait till the tow truck showed and they were even surprise that they left me in the middle of the street were it was dangerous. I called a week prior for an appt to have my car serviced as MB was not giving out any loaners and I need my vehicle to move around. I Came in on appt day and got a diagnostic at $65 even though I already knew what needed to be completed I took my car in for specific service per Mercedes Benz recommendations. Mechanic gave me a call back with prices and I approved the exact work. I called them around 3pm to see when car would be ready and they said they need vehicle overnight. So when was someone gonna inform me? So next day around noon I called to get a pickup time. I went in to get car and had 2 year old granddaughter and told how much owed. I get breakdown after paying to see that I was charged for pil changed when I just received one last week . I was livid as I told Lisa and mechanic what I was paying to get done. That was purposed of diagnostic testing. So frustrating.. and no resolution for customer. I will not use again because if you cheat me once you will cheat me twice. Response to comments: While you was reading to me I am keep my eyes on 2 year old so that she doesn't break anything. And please don't lie that you reached out to me to try and retify the situation. My husband contacted you as he seen the bill and how I was overcharged for an oil change that I never agreed too while I was bathing my granddaughter!! My husband didn't pay the bill, I DID!! Took my car in for engine light on, figure I try to support local business. First red flag was my vehicle still under 60k miles and still under warranty and was hoping they honestly inform me, but that didn't happen. No big,deal either they don't know or need the business. Whole ordeal took over a week in needing a part to fix the problem, if you are swamped I rather you be honest and not waste my time but either way come the end of that week I was told the problem is fixed. "Why is the engine light still on?" "OH just drive it around and it will eventually turn off but our system shows its good." Drove it it over a week (possibly causing more damage)and still the issue was there. Took it to the dealership and done in a fraction of the time. I consider it a lesson learned but either due to incompetence or lying stay clear, both are bad. read more

I was told by the shop I normally use that a battery plus install would cost me approximately 450.00 depending on the size which I'm sure they knew because I always take my car here . I also need a front left head light that would cost me 200.00 with install and programming. To much so I went to quartz hill auto. I wish I could give this rip off business ZERO stars or even a negative star. They destroyed our Audi, it was brought in for an oil leak and we where told that we needed a new engine, so 7,000 later we get the car back after they had it to MONTHS! The car still leaked oil and under the hood they had destroyed the wiring harness and the fire blanket thing on the hood (not sure of the name). I make a very very long story shorter, we never got the leak fixed, we had huge issues with the "new" engine. The last time we brought it in it had a ticking noise. Which cost us 1850.00.... the car still ticks and we were told that we need to change the oil and it would go away!!! Wait didn't I just pay you 1850.00?? I also asked for receipts and never got one, except the last visit. We brought the car to another repair shop and they said it needs a new engine! DONT EVER go to this shop. read more
