While on vacation we realized our AC stopped working around 3:30 PM on a Friday. Since we were planning to drive back home the next day, we were pretty stressed about getting it fixed in time. We reached out to several local repair shops, and CARS Cristian's Auto Repair was the only one that returned our message that same evening. They got us scheduled first thing Saturday morning. The part we needed wasn't easy to find, but they went above and beyond calling business after business until they tracked one down that could be delivered the same day. The part arrived around 1:30 PM, and they quickly got it installed and had the AC running like new. What makes this even more impressive is that they were supposed to close at 12 PM that day. Instead of turning us away, they stayed late to make sure our car was fixed and ready for the long drive back through the Vegas heat. I've brought my car here a few times, but lately, communication and diagnosis haven't been great. There seems to be a disconnect between the front desk and the mechanics, and they don't always diagnose issues correctly the first time. Because of that miscommunication, I ended up paying out of pocket for a repair that should have been covered by my insurance. Cristian and Tony helped us out of a real bind we were in after our alternator went bad on our 2010 Odyssey. We were traveling down from out of town to visit a relative who was at the hospital and the battery warning light came on while on Hwy 5. We made it to the shop about 1PM and they dropped what they were working on to get it done by the end of the day so we didn't have to stay in town overnight. Don't waste your time and money with this shop. Ameture shop, ameture mechanic. They are guessing what's wrong with your car. Went in for a oil pressure/ check engine light. Charger me over $2,500 to replace oil pressure pump, other seals and parts. As I'm leaving his shop the same check engine lights turn on. They had to redo all the work again. Finally I Pick up my truck 3 weeks later. A month later the check engine goes on again. I took it back and because it was a different code it wasn't cover. Ken the owner told me that it would be $900 to replace a transmission oil selanoid. I told him to do the work. When my truck was done he had a bill for $1,500. He told me it was more because he used original toyota parts. Again DON'T waste your time and money with this shop. read more
