I guess this a joint Albertsons and California DMV review. I tried to go pay my car registration at the local AAA office but forgot that they accept cash, check, or credit card only. I didn't have cash but had my debit card which they would not take. I was told Albertsons has a kiosk to pay there and get the registration. I was pleasantly surprised that the machine was there and working. It took a total of 5 minutes to do the whole thing which is a lot less time it takes at the actual DMV or AAA. This is a bunk butt Albertsons lol Outside, totally fine and normal looking Albertsons. At first look inside, it all just appears to be under temporary construction. Some seemingly normal, temporary, remodeling. No, no. This construction and remodeling has shown itself to actually be permanent. The worst customer service and store. Bought a Gift card few days ago, just realized that the card had missing code. It was defective card. Last night, I was tried to return back the defective card to get refund or replacement, but the on site manager (Daniel, claimed him self as manager) refused the return for refund. He knew that this has been on going issue for many years. 2-3 Albertsons employees also told me that a lot of those gift cards are defective. Not nice and not professional. I really don't have too many negative things to say about this Albertsons just one thing I wanted to point out. They like to make up their own times for when their lottery machine is down. I've come here before late around 9:30 and have cash tickets before many times but when they don't feel like doing it, they'll just say unfortunately the machine is down.. I have also been here on Sundays and have no problem cashing tickets but when it's a certain individual, they'll say the machine is down. Not that big of a deal, but just something that I wanted to point out. Best to take your ticket somewhere else. read more

I've always been a fan this grocery store. They have a large produce section with a local and organically grown area. They also have a ready-made food counter serving finger-licking fried chicken and other main dishes, tons of sides, and a great bakery. I love their brand packaged chocolate chips cookies. Always soft and delicious! They also display the new items by the registers. This weeks is Coca-Cola Oreos, and Oreo Coke. Mind blown! Every time I go to this location, I shop around and would like to check out the Pokemon machine. However, there's constantly a group of people waiting there despite the machine clearly stating that loitering is not allowed. When I try to tap it, they tell me that there is a line and they block the machine so I cannot tap it; even though loitering is not permitted. When I spoke to a manager named Karim, he said that many people complained about the people who wait at the machine, but they are not "the Pokemon police." Explained that would be 20%+ tax. She still looked blank, gave some attitude, & asked if she should call the manager. Manager also didn't seem to see the issue. Then cashier started over, rang them up, & running total was corrected. Cashier then lied to manager, staying total was same as before (with more attitude). I have been an Albertson shopper for over 30 years. This current location is my home store for over 15 yrs. All the employees are very friendly, helpful and always greet you with a smile! This Albertsons is hands down the best albertsons ive ever been to, it has nothing to do with pricing or product. it is the staff. everyone from the cashier, meat section delai and especially the bakery. Overpriced, rude staff (cus they're understaffed which is plain to see). Worker behind the deli yelling at me with her back turned that the deli is closed when I'm just looking and haven't asked for anything. I came here to shop. I asked Daniel to put my laundry items on the self check-out counter to be able to go to the bathroom quickly. A worker named Ashley did not let me talk to Daniel and yelled at me -- even though I was not talking to her. As soon I as started recording she stopped yelling and started to speak quietly. I was shopping for a few things off the weekly ad. I had a few minutes so checked on the hint water to see if they have the Georgia peach in yet. I see that the 12 packs of water had been placed in the shelving of the loose bottles, and the signage said 10 / $10. The 12 packs are usually stocked on the lower shelf. I took pictures of the error and went to the front to ask for a manager was told the assistant was in charge at that time. She came to the front, and I told her I want to take advantage of a lazy employees stocking. Right away she said that the signs must be in the wrong place. I told her no its the merchandise that was stocked wrong. She sees it and right away says a customer must have put them there. That does not set right with me I was in retail 25 + years. I could see that these were placed by and employee because the shelves were front faced. She started moving things around and it showed the trash that was pushed back behind the waters. It annoys me greatly that the 1st thing is to blame customers. I told her that I will contact corporate to let them know the store needs help with guidance and training. Obviously, management doesn't check the store as they should. Even if this was a customer rearranging their shelves they should know if the managers walked the store every few hours. I as a customer knew as soon as I walked the isle the stocking was wrong. Management needs to own it and take responsibility for the employees taking short cuts. The store and employees are only as good as the management. If the managers are lazy why shouldn't the employees follow the example. The store location on Westminster and Goldenwest is great the managers are always in the front never hiding in the back. They are there to take the responsibility of the employees positive and negative actions. read more

Ok this place has low ratings but I really think it deserves better. Sure the floors aren't as sparkly as newer grocery stores or Amazon swanky like Whole Foods but this Albertsons has been here since my parents moved to SoCal in the late 90s and it's more stable than many marriages in the area. There hasn't been a time where we needed to get something and they didn't have it at Albertsons. Even on holidays they are open for those last minute forgets. The produce is fresh and I haven't seen such vibrant greens. The workers are always helpful and friendly. Parking is pretty ample and there's also a Starbucks to the left as you enter. This plaza has changed a lot over the last 25 years and I'm grateful the Albertsons anchors this strip mall. read more

I try to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe a bad day here and there, but I come here a few times a week and dread any time she's the cashier of the only open checkout aisle. Bad attitude, seems like she doesn't want to be there, complains about workload to the guests, throws food across the counter, reaches in bags and touches fruit and veggies with her hands often. On time and very reasonable pricing, cake was delicious...too sugary but kids love sugar. My husband tried to tip the baker only to find out that Albertsons has a policy of absolutely no tipping or they could lose the job if tip accepted. Come on man why are you guys rating this great supermarket so low, it's almost the only one left standing, I remember when I 1st moved to California there were like 8 chains now they all merged n there are now just 2 I think Stater brothers n Kroger which had just bought Vons, Ralph's, Safeway n Lucky etc.. I'm like a tourist here, we eat out almost every night so I rarely shop, I marveled at how beautiful n clean the store was, the Asian stores are just competing on prices, they don't care too much about esthetics. I bought ground beef at Green supermarket to make spaghetti $3 a lb!! $6 at Albertsons! But Green didn't have meatballs so I had to come here. Albertsons also has all kinds of chipotle n Melinda salsa made in Costa Rica. I 1st had Melinda in Costa Rica n loved it, well nobody else had them except right here. Meats are really expensive here, people can't afford groceries anymore but blame the skyrocketing inflation on Brandon not Albertsons! I buy the roast chicken here too, it tastes better than the joke they have at Costco. They deserve 4 stars, I missed the good old days when they used to have a party like atmosphere bbq in front of the store every 4th of July, the best BBQ ever all kinds of meats, support your local supermarket or they will all die n you'd have to get ripped off at Amazon which to me was not a pleasant experience. read more

I would give less than 1 star. I needed a birthday cake last minute and thought "it can't possibly be as bad as last time". Wrong. 6pm. I wanted a cake from the case and asked an employee if I could have help in the bakery dept. He didn't even look at me and goes "no" and walks away. So easy to place an order with the bakery! Called in a couple days prior, ordered a baby's plain white 5" cake for my daughters photoshoot, and to also act as a smash cake, and it was perfect! Sooo affordable as well! It was only $17 for a 5", 3 layer cake. You can even do 4" or 2 layers as well.
