This is my favorite traders joes location. Staff here always nice and willing to help. Prices are reasonable, produces are fresh, items are always full. If you don't see something, the workers will go into the back and look for it or will let you know when the next shipment will come in. Parking can be tough at times during peak hours, does get crowded as well. I typically shop at night, a few hrs before closing time on the weekdays to avoid the crowds. As of April 2026, my favorite new item is the garlic butter mixed nuts, absolutely delicious and a must get! I also currently like the banana pudding ice cream. read more

If you want to get your hands on the Mini Pastel Canvas Tote Bag for $2.99, get there when they first open at 8 AM because they will sell out by 830 AM (limit 4). It looks like the most popular colors are pink and lavender, although I grabbed pink and blue. They will release a limited supply every day this week. However with each passing day, the demand is less so I guess by Friday, the line won't be so long. Shout out to Craig. He is the nicest crew member I have met at this Trader Joe's location (in 5 Points Plaza). When I stopped by on Monday 3/16, he immediately knew I was looking for the tote bags. Craig informed me they got a surprise drop over the weekend but didn't receive any that day. He told me to swing by the next day because they more are expected. read more

I love this Trader Joe's and it's my go-to when I have the time (fair warning: the parking lot fills up quickly). The quality of the produce is consistently great, and I really love their meat selection especially the seasonal rotations. The staff is always friendly, the store is clean and well-organized, and this location seems to have one of the larger flower selections too, if that's your thing. My new favorite addiction are the tortilla rolls chips they have! It's a gluten free friendly version of "Takis" but tastes so much better! I like to stock up on them, one time I went and my bag was overflowing with chips that the paper bag handles ripped off. A really busy employee stopped what he was doing and helped me pick all my chip bags up from the floor and gave me a new bag! What an amazing customer service. Thank you for helping me! read more

The checkout experience felt a bit strange. I went to the store on September 4 at 4 PM and checked out at the register closest to the flower aisle. The female cashier, who appeared Caucasian, was cheerful with the customer and their kiddo before me, who also appeared to be Caucasian, patiently waited while their child placed items on the counter, smiled, and even gave them a sticker. That was nice! When it was our turn, my toddler son wanted to do the same, but the cashier told us to just take everything out of the cart quickly so we could pay. There was no interaction, no smile, and of course, no sticker. She switched with a male cashier right after we finished. I hope she was just in a hurry and not treating us differently because we're Asian. read more

The kind young man A.Thom at the register told me there was a limit of three, and if you bought three, you would get one free -- so you were allowed to take a fourth bag. When I got home, I saw that I only had three. My daughter had asked me to buy them so she could take them to her cousins in another country, and since she has four cousins, I needed to buy four bags. So I had to drive back. I thought maybe I had forgotten one at the register. When I returned, the cashier had changed. They took me to the manager. The manager Shawn said there was no such promotion, that he would not give me one I forgot at the register, and that I could either buy another one or return the three I had purchased. I said, "But that's what I was told." Maybe the cashier was mistaken, but at that moment I believed I was entitled to take four. Also, this Trader Joe's is 25 minutes from my home. If I was just going to buy that one bag, I could have gone somewhere only 5 minutes away. I said, "Did I really come all this way for nothing?" The manager's attitude embarrassed me. He acted as if I was lying. If I were going to lie, I would have said I bought three and only went home with two. Besides, I am Muslim. It is Ramadan, and I am fasting. Why would I lie for $3.99? I was truly very hurt. In the end, I paid and bought one more. But I found his behavior very rude. He said he would ask the cashier the next day. It's nice that there is a Trader Joe's close by anywhere you go around Southern California. We happened to be in Little Saigon for an appointment, and this location in Huntington Beach happened to be the closest without going in the opposite direction of home. There is a pretty strong online presence of Trader Joe enthusiasts, so can read about any new products that happen to be popular. As far as I know, every store gets at least some of every product to begin with. What I noticed about this store was that many of the really popular items were available in large quantities; the store was really well stocked. So the product I had come in for after reading about it (the Seafood boil for $9.99), was still plentiful. Once you buy one frozen item, you are now committed to going home right away, so ended up buying some more of our favorites like fresh pizza dough and kung pao chicken. Wasn't too crowded either, so checkout was easy. All trader joe's intentionally keeps the space for a queue in each checkout line to be very small....they have enough cashiers so you don't usually have to wait. Usually my go to place for my weekly grabs. I bring my dog with me on some of my outings. They're always stocked on all my favorites if I go by 1pm. Went to Trader Joe's today looking for a half turkey breast and other groceries. There was only one in the case . I asked an associate (Chrystal )if that was the last one . She thought it was but they will probably get more in tomorrow Saturday. I really wanted a choice of weights etc so I figured I would try and come back Saturday. I kept shopping for other Items and about 20 minutes later Chrystal found me! She had been looking for me all over the store because she found a box of Half turkey breast in the back and wanted to let me pick one of my choosing! I was thrilled my shopping now complete! All Trader Joe's have the same high quality products. The produce is rarely even close to the best-by dates. There are wonderful tasty and relatively healthy choices. I was disappointed at my recent visit. My fault for waiting, but I was here specifically to purchase garland for the house. I waited til a week before Christmas so the fresh greenery will still look and smell nice. To my dismay, there were no wreathes, no small limbs of fir or cypress. There were beautiful seasonal bouquets and I did purchase a medium sized bunch. What got my goat was the response from the lady checking me out. When asked if I had found everything I was looking for, I shared that i couldn't find any Christmas greenery. I asked if she thought any of the stores still had them. She told me to go ask management. I think that's dismissive and resent women who treat other women with so little respect. I deleted one star for the attitude. read more

This Trader Joe's was a convenient stop to get our treats and flowers. The parking lot is packed for a Saturday. We drove around twice and then got lucky. The red carts were waiting for us. We always begin at the flower section. We picked beautiful "white jumbo Mums." Then we moved on to the fruits and cool display cases of vegetables. Two hot house cucumbers and avocados and Bartlett pears are now in the cart. We loaded up with assorted nuts and lemon sheet cake. A carton of large cage free eggs and Havarti, Monterey Jack, and Mild cheddar cheeses are stacking up. On our list were plantain chips and Simpler Times 12 pack Lager. Yikes, I did not bring an insulated cooler bag. The red and black TJ bag will do. It is big enough to hold all that is cold and a bottle of Giardino Pinot Grigio. Although the store was busy with shoppers, Trader Joe's Huntington Beach 5 points was a good shopping experience with helping staff at checkout till #6. read more

My new neighborhood Trader Joe's and I love it! I seriously can't get enough of Trader Joe's- always something new to try and then your favorite trustworthy snacks! I've been here at least 5x since I've moved to the area and everyone has been very helpful and very friendly, and very welcoming! Always handing our kids stickers and lollipops, lol. I have also had times where I had to return a few products that we did not enjoy and they took it back without a problem. Some of my favorites are the peanut butter chocolates (you can always find them in the front) their cheeses, frozen fruits and fresh fruits, and snacks!!! Sooo many snack choices - savory or sweet! I also do like their premade salads- I know some aren't as healthy as you hope for it to be but they are tasty! I also really like this plaza in general. My kids took a swim class at Big blue and I tried a reformer Pilates class at the new studio. It's a really nice plaza overall and having a nice market like Trader Joe's after a good workout and even after some shopping is always good!! read more

Stopped by Trader Joe's yesterday to get some much needed produce and I was happy to see the senior hour in effect. I got there a little early so I had to wait in line & got to see some adorable seniors walk in the store, but it's upsetting that they don't check id. I saw various people walk in that DID NOT look like they were seniors, they looked in their late forties/50's. I don't find it fair that none seniors were being let in. If I have to wait then you should have to wait too. I know I'm younger than these 40-50 year olds, but I work an essential job that I need to go to & it's not fair to me that I have to wait in line behind NON-SENIORS that arrived way later than I did, but were let in because the guy at the door asked, "Are you a senior?" & some may have clearly lied. The young man at the door looked at some of these people as I did & probably thought to himself, "This guy isn't a senior". Please start checking ID's this is not upsetting to just me, I've talked to various other people that have experienced this. Letting in non-seniors also makes the real seniors have to wait longer in lines too for these non-seniors that shouldn't be there in the first place. read more

The service has REALLY gone down here at the Trader Joe's in Huntington Beach on Main St. This week I attempted a return, and the manager and cashier told me that returns are usually not accepted and then began to give me a lecture, before I stopped them and was ready to rip them a new one. I was surprised as I had my receipt, the items were unopened, and only purchased 5 days prior. A search online states that returns at Trader Joe's are "easy", "customer friendly", and "generous" but this was not the case. I didn't want to raise my voice or make a scene, and in the end the items were returned but the experience was poor, irritating and extremely lacking in the following policy. Needless to say, that I will be taking my business elsewhere, which is bittersweet as I've lived in Huntington Beach for over 44 years but I'm more than happy to spend my household's money on a business that values its customer experience. read more
