RUDE. This salon was recommended to me by two friends who found them on Groupon. I purchased the…read moredeal for a cut, color, and style. A few days after purchasing it, I needed a last-minute blowout for an event and couldn't get in with my usual salon. I called Salon JM and tried to make an appointment to use the voucher the following day. They couldn't accommodate me for the cut and color portion, but only had time for a blowout. I asked if making this appointment would prevent me from using the Groupon at a later date (since the fine print said it was for new customers). I was told it was fine, since I had purchased the Groupon as a new customer, and I was going for a different service. I reconfirmed this in person when I went for the blowout. Imagine my surprise when I called back a couple weeks later to make an appointment for the deal and was told they would not honor it. Again, I explained that I WAS a new customer when the deal was purchased, and the only reason I had gone for just a blowout before redeeming the deal was because I couldn't get an appointment for the whole thing. They weren't even open to using the amount of the voucher towards the full price of the service - I would have been fine with that! Instead, I was told to deal with Groupon, and then they hung up on me. They didn't even ask if I wanted to proceed without the deal! It's a shame because they did a nice job with the blowout, but I would absolutely not go back here. Clearly they aren't interested in the business. There are enough salons in this area - I don't need to deal with one that's rude and sketchy.

She colored my hair meticulously and conditioned it. Then I decided to purchase two beautiful human hair wigs from her which she painstakingly installed for me and gave me a tutorial on how towar and care for. I called about a week out and was able to make an appt with Yoly for a cut & color. She did a great job, I absolutely LOVED how my hair turned out. She was super nice and made sure I was happy with my hair before I left. While I was there, I saw their makeup/hair stylist Erica doing someone's makeup and it looked amazing so I asked Michele, the owner if Erica might be available to do my hair and makeup for a wedding I was going to and she was so we scheduled the appt. Fast forward to this past weekend, I had my appt with Erica for my hair and makeup and I seriously could not be happier with the final product. I got SO many compliments all night. Erica was so sweet and worked so fast which I loved! I was there for about an hour and 15 minutes total. I will definitely be using Erica again for future events. The woman who washed my hair was very rough and definitely didn't deep condition my hair because she washed it right out. Usually for a deep conditioner you let it set before washing it out. Then a different woman cut my hair and I think she misunderstood what I wanted because she gave me 2 pieces at the front that were super uneven rather than layers like I wanted. Then the same woman who washed my hair came back to blow dry my hair and the stylist who cut my hair left immediately, nowhere to be found. So once my hair was dry and I could see what the layers were like, I couldn't even ask her to fix it. She also put a lot of oil starting at my roots, so my hair got greasy the next day and I had to wash out the blowout. Overall it's my own fault for getting my hair done through a Groupon, lesson learned. I also came a bit later in the day so I recommend getting an earlier appointment so they don't rush through.

I came into the salon wanting partial highlights and a cut, and winded up getting a Botox treatment and a cut/dusting to get the dead ends. I totally recommend Ashley as she makes you feel like an old friend that you're catching up with. Her suite is super chill with a great vibe too. Plenty of parking at Prestige Hairstyles as well!
