Discovered this gem while searching for nearby places that have eyelash tinting. I had seen a…read moreblogger I follow have it done, and thought it was a great alternative to getting false lashes as I didn't want to ruin my natural lashes. Lo and behold, I stumbled upon The Glam Bar. It is located within Luxe Salon and Spa. The building is easy to find and they have their own parking lot. I called to make an appointment for the eyelash tinting, which was super easy. But keep in mind that they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the reception desk and introduced to the Master Esthetician, Enza, who would be assisting me. Enza made me feel at ease right away, with her friendly demeanor and answering all of my questions. To my good fortune, they also offer brow tinting, (something else I've been wanting to try) and both services go hand in hand quite well. Enza showed me to a private room where I laid face up on a table. She then applied hydrating under eye patches. These served a dual purpose, to teat my under eyes and to protect my skin of the tint application. The tint application was easy as you just close your eyes (and keep them closed) while she paints it onto your lashes. Keeping your eyes closed and letting the tint sit, she then applies a tint to match your hair to your bows. You may feel a slight stinging sensation on your eyelids, but nothing unbearable. Enza then carefully cleansed my brows and eye lashes. I had planned on running errands right after, but nixed that idea because just like hair dye, some of the tint remains on your skin till your next face wash. I did try using some micellar cleansing water on a q-tip which helped a little. It's been a few days now, and I am very happy with the results! Getting both the eyelash and brow tinting done together also saved me a few bucks! ($30 each separately, $55 together) I am looking forward to returning to try their other services such as the hydra facial with celluma therapy at their Medi Skin Spa!

I went with Grace due to all her amazing reviews and she was one of the best decisions I made. She was able to do hair and makeup for myself and 2 mothers, as well as makeup for 6 bridesmaids! Everything went according to schedule and everyone looked amazing. During my trial with her, she listened to my comments and tried different styles with me. On the day of, my up-do did not budge for the entire day and my makeup stayed as well, even in the summer heat. If I had to choose again, I would definitely go with Grace! Amongst the five ladies, she took a hr for each of the bridesmaids and 1.5 hr for myself. She was right on schedule for each of the ladies! Which is very much appreciated when the day is already so busy. I did a LOT of research before finding her and her rates are very reasonable compared to many others as she stayed with us from 7:30 AM through 6 PM- plus she traveled to New Rochelle, NY, without adding on travel fees. I like that her package included airbrush and false lashes as a lot of other places will charge these as add-ons to packages. We did a first reveal before the ceremony and Grace was with me during our photoshoot, she helped fix my hair and makeup during the photoshoot, including putting on and taking off my veil. She also did touch ups after the first photoshoot and again, after the ceremony! I did a makeup and hair trial with her in January 2017. I personally have watery eyes and can't wear certain eyeliners as they smudge easily on me. So she came back a second time to do another trial using a different eyeliner, without an additional cost, which she bought specifically for me (because of my watery eyes) and it stayed on all day. Also, the eyeliner stayed on throughout the whole wedding day as well (even though I cried a lot) so the trial is highly recommended. Overall, she's very friendly, open to working with your preferences, gives good advice and very professional!!! I highly recommend Grace, don't bother looking elsewhere.
