I made an appt for a balayage & a cut, when I went in Erin asked me what I was thinking today. Well, obviously a balayage. I explained the cut, very simple with trim, slight layers, & long blended curtain bangs. I showed her some pics of the way I wanted the balayage to look, coppery highlights. She started putting in the lightener with foils, so ok, I guess this is a foilyage. She didn't mention beforehand. No big, I'll go with it. Figure she's the expert, & she's said foils will help my dark hair lighten. After, we were talking, & she forgot to show me with a mirror. I look in the mirror at home & realize I can barely see any lightened areas or layers. Bangs are uneven. I text her, no response. Text again a week later, she responds, says she didn't see my text. I keep asking if it's ok to lighten again so soon. I go in to fix a couple weeks later, show 2 pics. Color & style of balayage very specific. She says she'll take the color up higher & do a root tap. I'm not a cosmetologist, what is that? She started foiling (again, she didn't ask & I've been saying balayage since the beginning, the pics are balayage) up to my roots! I ask about her switching up the technique, she says that doesn't matter. wth? Now I know this isn't going to be good, but when it's done...Ahhh! Bright orange!! Bleached my precious baby hairs! And I need dark around my hairline cuz of my coloring. Been trying to resolve this with her, she tells me we need to part ways. She RUINED my hair, & it's damaged & falling out. I'd NEVER go back. Only issue was, I had some blue and green left over from a home dye job done months before. Naam was able to remove most of the blue/green from my hair and successfully do the bayalage. And oh my God did she do an amazing job! I look fantastic and have the boost of confidence I was looking for! Naam suggested a scalp detox treatment since I complained of seasonal dandruff. well..... I have been having Shelly do my hair over the last year until I had her add low lights…read morethat became a disaster!! my hair was Ashy and dark. I was told to add lemon to my conditioner and see if that worked by her . I left with my hair wet so she couldn't tell. when that didnt work she had me come in and added a toner , I left with my hair wet again and still was to dark. no blonde at all. Shelly strung me along for over a week with every excuse to not refoil or even look at it and what didn't work! I paid $230 for a partial foil and cut(trim). I now need to go pay to have my hair fixed!!!! she's the owner, and over charges for average grade service. Quality not worth $$$$ ! I expected so much more from a business owner to treat a client so poorly. I have pictures and text to prove it!
