Our experience at Portland Cider Co. this week was so good that we came back twice in 4 days…read more We're in town for the week for some veterinary stuff, and staying half a mile from the taproom for Portland Cider. Our stay was during a heatwave, but because we had the doggo we needed to sit outside. The team at the cidery, Kayla & Emily, were absolutely amazing and took the beat care of us. We had some excellent bevies and tasty food, and were encouraged to come back for Pizza Day (50% off select pizzas with a pint of cider on Wednesdays). So we came back on Wednesday, sat outside, and had the best evening. Kayla, Emily, and Cole provided S-Tier customer service and hospitality to us and our little doggo. The ciders continued to be a hit and the pizzas were huge! This was also Portland Burger Week and they were slammed. Through all of the business and busy-ness they stayed composed and attentive to their guests. We hope to return to the area for future weekend getaways and will stop at the cidery first. Thank you for a great couple of days!

I've never really had a full pint of cider that I enjoyed before but I found one there! A friend had gotten a flight and I ended up getting one of those ciders. It had a wonderful berry flavor with some apple in there too. We also ordered some food. We had a pretzel with a fondue sauce the fish tacos and the dirty Mac and Cheese. The service was really good considering how busy they were. I thought the wait staff was very attentive. The food was pretty good. Really liked the fondue sauce that came with the pretzel. The tacos were good but lacking in seasoning. The dirty mac and cheese was good but I thought the barbecue sauce that went with the pulled pork was too sweet and effected the taste of the dish. The place itself is layed out nicely with lots of seating inside and some outside seating as well. I think I'd be back for the cider and a pretzel.

They have a pair of cozy leather seats in the corner too which we were lucky to grab. Service was friendly and attentive, but not too "in your face" which I appreciate - allowed us to catch up over two hours and enjoy the great clean fresh space.

*Thunder crashing, followed by screaming and creepy organ music*…read more It's been a while since I have had Bauman's cider and just recently I had one of their ciders. It's been a hot minute since I have had a cider from them but the cider I just finished enjoying was none other than Elvira's Currant Obsession. This was a currant cider and a type I don't believe I have had before. I have had currants before but it was when I was quite young and we had a currant bush in my grandmother's yard on the family ranch. We would grab some for a snack which was always good. I remember them being a tad tart. This cider in contrast us fairly sweet and while it was good I tend to go for more dry ciders. But Elvira was on the label and how can you not love Elvira? She's in season anytime of the year. But anyway the flavor highlights for a kind of less common berry is the red currant( or on the bottle it says Black Currant) , apple and sweetness. Tartness is there as well as dryness but it definitely is more subdued. And it makes sense since this is a berry cider. At any rate it was good to revisit Bauman's Cider again and thank you for tuning into another one of my Yelp reviews...unpleasant dreams! *cue the sinister laughing and more creepy organ music*

Excellent cider experience from this Portland based cidery. Steve and I shared their Hineycrisp…read moreflavored cider and really enjoyed it. The flavor profile is dry, not too sweet, crisp clean and tart. Along with an apple flavor of course they prepared this cider with fermented champagne yeast. The apples are relatively local as they come from Washington and Oregon. The most refreshing I saw with this cider was it's dry finish. Very enjoyable cider all the way around!

I have actually never sat and had a cider. I treated myself to a club membership and it was really fun. Once a month, you get a half-rack of cider tallboys. If you are lucky enough to live within the delivery area, they will bring it to you! I am not, which is one of the reasons why I'm taking a break from my membership. It's a far drive. There's always a handful of their flagship, marionberry or honeycrisp. Then a bunch of rotating seasonals. Then there's something WEIRD, like Old Scrumpy, or hard kefir or seltzer. I'm not a fan, so they would happily swap it out for a different can. I love love love their juicy fruity ciders and I'll keep purchasing in grocery stores or when I'm in the neighborhood. Please put me in your delivery area!!
