Been seeing Imogene for years now and don't trust anyone else with my hair!! I've had terrible experiences before with other hairdressers but once I met Imogene I never left. She has really gotten to know my hair needs and always makes sure that I leave happy! My hair has been the healthiest it's ever been. The salon is so cute and located right off the post road above the Tequila Revolution restaurant. There is a parking lot around back, but if that gets full there is street parking available. Definitely recommend Alchemy for your hair needs! Worth every penny. read more

I believe that the most accurate time to say that you like your haircut is when you've already had it for days and i must say that Mercedes really is so great with what she does! My daughter had a bad experience with Ashley Colica. First appointment was cancelled by text as she was in car on her way to salon. No apology. Things come up but at least be cognizant of your client's time. Appointment was made again 2 weeks later for highlights and a blowout. Now it's "I have another client, I can't do your blowout." Um, no....the appointment included a blowout, not our problem if you double book. Ashley did a very rough blow dry and had the gall to charge $225. Is that the quality that's acceptable to be put out there? Poor experience and unprofessional all around. read more

Roxie cut my hair the other day and I'm happy with my look. My hair was long and lifeless and she added some defined layers and curtain bangs. Really happy to feel refreshed after quarantine. I was so happy with my experience at Alchemy! Imogene, the salon's owner, was kind and responsive and helpful in setting up my appointment. I described what I was looking for (blonde highlights, a gloss, and a cut), and she set me up with Jess for the appointment. Jess is fantastic. I really enjoyed my time with her. She took the time to talk through my specific needs and goals and gave me perfect highlights and a really great fresh haircut. Ashley helped and did my shampoo, and she was wonderful too. The space is beautiful, and they have really nice hair products for sale (but nobody pushed them on me). I'm always nervous trying a new salon, but I know I'll be coming back here for a very long time. I can't wait to go back soon. Another note - everything was great in terms of Covid precautions. Everyone masked, very spaced out, and they took my temperature. I felt safe the whole time and was impressed by their diligence. read more

Ashley Colica has done beautiful work on my daughter's hair. My daughter changes her direction quite often and Ashley just rolls with it and works her magic. The fact that my service went horribly wrong, (resulting in a completely different color then I asked for, and serious over bleach breakage damage to my hair) was bad enough - but sometimes things go wrong. The fact that I contacted the owner to tell her what happened and she didn't even have the courtesy to respond is insulting. A bad experience that will take months to repair. read more

I have been growing my grey hair for 2 years. In January I went to a hair salon to get a botox treatment on my hair. The lady didn't know how to treat grey hair properly and ended up getting my grey hair yellow. She advised me to use purple shampoo for a few days until the yellow is gone and my grey hair comes back to normal. However, after a whole week using the purple shampoo nothing changed. I searched on Google for a blond/grey hair salon professionals and found the Alchemy. I filled an online form saying what happened to my hair and Imogene texted me next day to know more details about what happened. I sent pictures from my hair before and after. She told me she was willing to fix it as much as possible. I made a 90 min appointment with Mercedes. She is a very sweet girls. Also, very professional. She applied 2 or 3 treatments on my hair. She was able to take about 75% of the yellow from my hair. However, it was not just the product that made my hair yellow. The lady who treated with botox burned my hair. Mercedes told me that the rest of the yellow would probably not get off. She was right. Even using purple shampoo regularly my hair is still yellowish.
