When the big-box stores didn't have sizes to fit my weird house, a quick call was all it took. The company had me make simple cardboard templates and offered for me to go to their facility to have them made. Once there I could TELL it was a family business and they treated me as if I were a member of their family. They made my adjust-a-grates right then and there, combining all they've learned in the past to both match my weird size AND to make cut-outs for obstacles my house presented. When I got home, the grates fit PERFECTLY, I didn't need to make any adjustments which they had taken the time to teach me how to make.
