I suspect the number listed is also her personal phone number. She was very accommodating and very flexible, which was very helpful with my schedule. I came back about a hand full of times for my satin wedding dress, as I had to take in the bust, waist, and hem the dress. I also had her restructure my neck line (strapless) to adjust to my removable sleeves as they were quite long. I initially also had the designer restructure my neck line as I didn't like the pointy edges of my strapless dress and subsequently had the designer round out my line. Christine took it in some more and continued to round them to attach my sleeves so they wouldn't drape down so low on my arms. Although the process was a bit nerve wrecking, she did a wonderful job. She also showed me various bustles and was very knowledgeable. Despite choosing one, she gave me two options when I picked up my final dress, which was very nice. She is very reasonable priced, given that she has low overhead working in a small cramped space of her home. I was quoted elsewhere for about 5x the price. So I was very pleased to say the least. I have since recommended her to my sister.

I come around 3pm (closes at 6pm) and the dress was NOT ready and hadn't even been worked on yet. In fact, I saw it hanging like a rag in the back. It was cringeworthy to see my dress hanging so carelessly like it was nothing but a rag. The owner claimed she called me and told me to come by later. She said she left me a message. This is a blatant LIE!!! She did not call me and she did not leave me a message! She outright lied to me to my face. So I had to leave and come back around closing time to pick up the dress. I tried on the dress and it was shocking what she did to the dress. She clearly rushed to work on the dress and the sloppy craftsmanship was apparent. It is a 2 layer dress that needed a simple hem. She hemmed the dress UNEVEN all around (left side longer and dragging on the ground, right side clearly shorter). To make it worst - on the right side, the outer layer of the dress was hemmed so much shorter than the inside layer. It looked tacky and ruined! I pointed it out and she said she would fix it in about 10 mins. [I will post a photo of the dress to show all]. Overall concerns - -expensive price ($65 to hem a dress) for sloppy work. -business practice includes lying to a customer about contacting them when it did not happen (why lie??) -no apologies for inconveniencing a customer to leave and then come back, and then having to wait around while she fix her mistake. I cannot in good faith recommend this place to anyone. I regret so much coming here.

I came here around January hoping to patch up a hole and a rip on the left pocket of my jacket…read more First I came in, dropped off my jacket, everything seemed nice. The following Tuesday I came to pick my jacket up. When I inspected the jacket, I noticed they hadn't patched up ANYTHING, the hole was still there--and no one would have said anything if I hadn't checked and spoken up!!! They told me to come back the next day and assured me everything would be fixed by then. I come back everything looked okay from the outside and trusted that they did fix the problem. While driving, I find random feathers around my car. I check the pockets and soon I realize that there was still a hole in my left pocket and a NEW hole in my right pocket. They also removed all the fluff from that specific patch on my jacket so no fluff would come out of the hole. Don't ever come here if you want your coat pockets patched up because they will take your money and give you crappy results.

AND THANK GOD I WENT WITH THEM! Maria, their bridal seamstress, was just amazing. She saw exactly what needed to be done and got it fixed in 24 hours! My dress fits better than I did after the first alterations. Despite this entire experience beginning with complete panic, Jay, Maria, and Megan put my mind at ease. I honestly don't know if they're inexperienced or just have never worked with a Black woman's curves before, but not one, not two, but three of my dresses were completely botched. I also had a top altered and it came back lopsided. After the first round of alterations, the owner tried to gaslight me, saying they had only adjusted the strap for my burgundy dress (which was never the main issue). I initially asked for the sides to be taken in because the bust area was too big, but somehow, that got lost in translation. So I paid AGAIN, for all to be fixed and what I got back was even worse. Everything felt rushed, uneven, and downright sloppy. I bawled my eyes out because these dresses were meant for my birthday trip. The white dress? It was the most horrendous one, imagine the outline of Sarah Baartman on a modern-day garment. That's how distorted the shape was. Even after a third attempt, the seams were still crooked and the dress was unwearable. I'm now left dressless for my trip and out of money. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.
