I was at Alden after back surgery for short term rehab. I just wanted to give a very big thank you to Alden's nursing staff and physical therapy team. I especially would like to thank Kristen, the head of the physical therapy. She got me back on my feet and with her help, I got my confidence back regarding my walking without assistance from a walker or cane. The CNA's that worked meal time were great and a big thank you to Rosie who could make my bed faster than anyone I have ever met. I would also like to thank Antonio, my night nurse, for his exceptional care and concern for my recovery. Overall, my experience at Alden's was a five star experience. Thanks to all the staff members who made my stay enjoyable. May I also compliment your food service which provided delicious and healthy meals. I will recommend Alden to my friends and relatives. More billing problems since Ja.n 2026. I always paid at the facility since by my house, got recpts no problem. Suddenly in Jan my checks were lost! Even paid for Mar 2026, an got email from Maria Leon I hadn't paid for MARCH. Statement revd today showed no payment. I commend the nursing staff on 3rd floor! They are great. AALAYAH, at the reception desk is wonderful. The administration, the billing dpt, and getting returned phone calls is lacking. My husband is on memory floor for 6 hrs now. The attitude of administration. Is they can move him from 2 bedroom room with TV AND PHONE to a 5 man ward room, not tell me, not adjust fee, and then look me in the face when I confronted them on it and say he was always in that room. That was LAURA. I got him returned to his 2 person room. When asked about tv and phone was told again he never had one and I would have to pay extra and since "they remodeled they weren't available." REMODELED WHAT? First and 2nd floors were, and lobby. The 3rd floor is dismal! I'm not done here. I'm pursuing this all the way. Lost glasses, missing clothes, missing wedding ring, wallets disappeared and when brought up got blank stares! Again administration. Falls, dehydration, weight loss and now wheel chair bound. Lies about calling me and no response from me is crazy! I keptva landlines just for their contact, with an answering machine. No calls/message from administration or billing ever were made. ​​​I thought this was a good place for years. Previous administration was available and helpful. They changed it over time and the interaction stopped. Now administration hides in offices. They should be up on the floors to understand what their jobs really about. PEOPLE. REGARDLESS OF WHAT FLOOR THEY ARE ON, OR FOR WHAT REASON THEY'RE THERE ARE IMPORTANT. they deserve respect! I am careful about going in because I don't want confrontation or worry about how his treatment could be a affected. But I will be pursuing this matter thru proper channels. They lost my husbands inhaler, it cost us another $250ish to replace it. I gave them all the receipts for the replacement inhaler and was told I would get a check in 4-6 weeks. This was back in January/February 2025, they are full of shit. The manager Gigi or the administrator Laura are never there. My elderly-mother's been a resident on the memory-care floor for nearly 6 months. I'm happy to post this wonderful review on behalf of the memory-care clinical-team. All of the R.N.'S and C.N.A.'S, especially Denise and Maria, do an excellent job with taking care of my mother. The D.O.N., Sheel, is truly professional at maintaining both consistency and efficiency by the clinical-team, on behalf of the residents on the memory-care floor. Nurse-Sheel truly goes above and beyond to ensure that his residents are cared for properly, which I greatly appreciate and respect on his behalf as the D.O.N. Whoever makes the marketing decisions for this group should not be making decisions. I have received multiple minutes-long marketing messages at all hours. They assume no one is picking up and leave a lengthy ad that sounds like an ice cream truck is plowing through my house. 18 months later, a new review - - No communication from staff after your loved one has entered the facility - Conflicting responses when you get one from staff - Patients so medicated they can not move/walk/eat - 'Rules' and 'Laws' change at every turn, and each staff member is unsure of anything - Leadership does NOT reply to repeated messages, its almost impossible to get a response on what happened, how - Mother has been waiting 18 months to see a dentist - Mother has fallen multiple times in 6 months but no one knows 'how' or 'when' they only know they found her.....but cant explain how long she was laying in the floor - Activity coordinator is very kind - Meal time is fun for the residents do NOT put your loved one in this facility, you will regret it the moment you drop them off. read more

Hi, I would like to apologise to the staff team of Alden Poplar Creek. when my dad got first admitted, I found the service of this rehab very slow. As a result of this experience I had reviewed the service under five star. Gradually, I realised that I was wrong. I had experienced the team has a huge pressure of taking care of the clients. Also, because of Covid period there was a serious issues of staffing. Moreover, my dad was a very challenging person to deal with. He had mental health issues and he was very demanding. Despite if all these issues the staff gave 100 percent attention to my dad and gave excellent care. I apologise the staff team to put the bad review due to my initial experience. Only gave a 1 because I could not give a "O". Does not do what they say they would do. Lost my mother's things. Had to ask every day for them to hook up her TV. It never got done! The nurses were very ruff with her. She did not get enough to eat. I saw a aid feed her & she was nasty & rude. I was taking my own food in everyday to feed her. The wallpaper was pulling off the wall. The staff did not communicate. Their billing department was also a nightmare. She was overly medicated. And the wounds she had were not taken care of. I am a CNA, who is in very high demand right now, during the CoronaVirus outbreak. Alden Poplar Creek called to offer me a job. We went through my experience and qualifications, and she was very impressed. When we got to the issue if pay, she told me they only pay $10 an hour, even for extremely overqualified people like me. She said they don't care if I'm licensed or a US citizen. That's how they take care of their residents. STAY AWAY! read more

I came here as part of rehabilitation after foot surgery the TVs are staticky and don't work u get maybe one or two channels the call button is a light switch and it takes at least 30 mins for someone to respond to a call my friend left me a few things to snack on and they call my phone asking for my ex boyfriend who I never gave them as a contact to come pick them up I had to call the administrator about this I eventually got my stuff my first day here they tried to steal my clothing even tho I showed the nurse what I needed washed as I was coming from the hospital the nurses are very rude half the people who work here I can barely understand what they are saying it's like there speaking another language this place looks nothing like the pictures on google and it smells very bad and drawers are broken please don't send your family here or yourself there are way better places to go than this piece of crap place! read more

I'm sorry I can't recommend using Alden Poplar Creek. We needed to move my mom to a rehabilitation facility and neither the head of admissions nor the Director of the facility would return my calls, even though I left 5 messages. I feel this reflects on the care a loved one might receive if neither the head of admissions nor Director can return phone calls. It's a shame because so many of the other Alden rehabilitation places have such good reviews. This would have been a perfect location for placing my mom too. I chose this place because the staff was courteous and friendly. My mother was ready to be admitted to rehab from the hospital. A few hours prior to her entry, I dropped off some clothes for her. I even had a new outfit included. It was instructed to me that these clothes will be taken to the laundry area where the clothes will be marked for the room my mother will be in. My mother was there for 3 weeks. In that time, the nurses kept asking me for "fresh clothes" for my mother. I told them I did bring clothes. They knew nothing about that. I told them to find what they lost first and I bring a few more clothes. They never found them and I was told I would be reimbursed for the brand new clothes that were also lost. Still waiting for the refund. Also, my mother came to the rehab center with a 30-day event heart monitor that was never hooked up to her and activated. I asked about the heart monitor and they did not know what to do with it. I told them to send it back. Now, my mother is being charged for a heart monitor they lost. This place should not even be in business. They should be shut down. read more

I have been here for 10 months now. I am giving 5 stars. Everyone treats me very well. Yes sometimes they are short CNA'S but we would never know it. Everyone even management helps out. We have a new Activity director. She is fantastic she is making changes which keep us pretty busy. We also have a new director of administration. She has a lot of new ideas. I can't wait to see what will happen in the next few months. I get very down sometimes being away from my family. But they a seem to be mind reader's and they take time out of thier very busy schedule to spend time cheering me up. read more

Alden poplar creek was a wonderful place. My father stayed there for 3 months after his stroke. All of the nursing staff including blessed and Michelle were absolutely amazing! Agree with prior post, Michelle is wonderful as is Francesca and Angela. Other staff there are nice as well. However, place is very dated and slightly run down. Level of cleanliness was below my expectations. Basic needs are missing such as lids for a cup of water. This is essential for any patients with movement disorders. Beds do not have call buttons. It's a string connected on one end to a light switch and at the other end a clip that is attached to the patient's pillow. When pulled the light switch signals at the nurse station by light switchboard and sound to indicate which room requires attention. There is no audible method for a patient to communicate their needs until the caregiver arrives to the room. Which would help with triage (ie send an MA OR CNA for simple tasks vs RN for immediate critical concerns). Yes, it is functional, but outdated and archaic. Additionally it took 3 weeks for them to replace the lights in my parent's room. At this point I am reviewing Medicare website for prior audits as medication management was also an issue. Proximity to St. Alexius is a plus. I hope they reinvest in themselves to upgrade their systems. read more

My mom was there for 2-1/2 years and once she got to the 3rd floor, which is a locked unit for dementia patients, things were not so great. Unless you plan on being there all day, everyday, to tend to your loved one, the staff walk around your loved one and ignores them. I was there a lot and would often have to repeatedly tell the staff that residents needed something. CAUTION!!!! They will fulfill the basic needs such as putting food in front of the residents but don't expect too much more. Lets not forget they prefer the ones that don't speak and are more the zombie type of resident. However, when the State comes in for evaluation and such, they gather any and all staff to sit and feed the patients and show their best foot forward. Be careful!!! read more

I can't say enough about the staff here. I wish I could list everyone on this review. In my eyes everyone from the 3rd floor down to the first floor including the Administrators are awesome. They really care about their residents and the residents family members. I brought my mom into Alden's when she was 99 yrs old. My expectations were for them to keep her well until her 100th birthday. Everyone loved "GRANDMA" so much they kept her around for two more years. She passed away at 102. What a Celebration of Life. I can not say enough about the staff here. My Grama was there for about a year & a half. She was on the 3rd floor. Denise & Matthew have been the absolute best. You could always tell they really cared about the resident's. They also did a great job making us (as family) feel more comfortable. I truely can't find anything negitive to say.
