After I had a lumbar discectomy in 2012, I had always had a level 4-6 pain in my back in a scale of 0-10. It was right in the range that I might need to take an OTC drug, or just suffer with it. My wife suggested to try a chiropractor she started using. I met Dr Lorenz at Health First in Schaumburg Illinois, as part of the suggested regime when I started in 2021. As he began the treatment, he could immediately tell the muscles and tissues in my back where like a rock, as a natural response to the previous injury. He skillfully found all of the pain centers residing in my back, an painfully began to use naprapathic message to ease the tension and reduce the pain. I followed him when he decided to open Revolutionary Health, he seemed to have the space to begin more advanced concepts. He has begun to use a chiropractic bench which gives greater articulation to work on the back. He also has been able to begin treatment of the menial tunnel syndrome that I developed in my right arm, which seems to provide greater relief than when I went with the typical orthopedic treatments. I also has experience with magnetic treatments, which I've heard can provide pain relief as well. Overall, his treatment methodology is painful at the beginning, but in the long run, provides a terrific non-drug methodology to alleviate pain. Thankfully, my insurance covers this type of treatment. Generally speaking, since his practice is new, the office experience is a bit muted, since he does not have a staff. He has generally flexible scheduling between 9 am and 6 pm. Overall, I cannot express enough my recommendation for Dr Lorenz. My first visit with Dr. Lorenz was in September, 2021. I hobbled into his office with major pain in my left hip/butt area. In July, 2021, I knew I had pulled something in this area but thought it would disappear. Little did I know it would get much worse. By the time I saw Dr. Lorenz I had seen two MD's and had many sessions of physical therapy with two different therapists. I was still not in good shape. I had to lift my left leg to get into the car and bathtub. Dr. Lorenz suggested four sessions in a two week period. I knew after the first session I was much better. After the fourth session I was practically back to normal. Shortly after that I was back to normal! I now see him every three weeks and feel wonderful. Dr. Lorenz is not just a practitioner, but a healer! I have now successfully finished my course of treatment and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. After a car accident I started to experience tingling and numbness in my arm. Dr. Lorenz estimated that it would take about 12 weekly visits to really address the issue. His estimate was spot on, and the treatment helped with other problems/issues as well. Before he started, he took a detailed patient history. His knowledge of naprapathy was extensive, and he explained everything well and completely. His technique is clearly physiologically evidence-based, but he is not afraid to use his intuition and experience to explore the most effective manipulations. His "touch" is strong and therapeutic, but he never went too hard, always paying attention to my verbal and body cues to work with my body, not against it. The few times that I expressed some real discomfort he quickly switched to an alternative method that achieved the desired outcome. Dr. Lorenz assigned me extremely helpful exercises to do at home, giving clear instructions and demonstrations to be certain I understood the techniques. He even recommended some equipment to purchase to help enhance healing and make daily life activities more comfortable. He not only fixed my presenting issue, but friends noticed that I was standing and walking with more ease and freedom than I had in years. Finally, his comforting "tableside" manor and friendly personality made each session not only therapeutic, but enjoyable. Dr.Lorenz is the best Naprapath I have ever seen. I like to powerlift for fun and I injured my back deadlifting a bit over 400 pounds. I was taking a lot of pain meds and I was in pain for about 6 months. After about 4-6 sessions with Dr.Lorenz I was completely pain FREE!! Dr.Lorenz really listens, has great strength to loosen even deep tissue pain and he follows up. If you have any back pain don't wait go see Dr.Lorenz. I came to Dr.Lorenz for a lower back injury. I strained my lower back so bad I could barely walk. I could not bend at all or lift anything over 20lbs. Every time I stepped my left foot forward it would cause 8/10 pain in my back and I have a high pain tolerance. Dr. Lorenz is a very professional caring doctor. I made an appointment with him because due to bad posture and sitting at a computer all day, I experienced neck and shoulder pain on my right side. As a guitar player, I have experienced pain in my left shoulder -- the one that holds the weight of the guitar -- for years. At my first session with Dr. Lorenz, he had me bring in the instrument and play while he took careful observations, both visual and from feeling my muscles and bones in action. Based on his observations, he has worked on my problem areas in a nuanced and focused way that has brought both short- and long-term relief. Dr. Lorenz treated a variety of my painful roller derby ailments, including a pulled lat muscle and tight shins/feet, and just general pain and soreness throughout my entire body.
