I made it finally! I see their fantastic advs every week and it's close to my house. Price: Cheap mostly! Wine $2.50-, Banana $0.29/p-, organic peanut butter about $3, organic soy milk about $2.50,... Atmosphere: Clean and simple. Cashier: Only 2 open Customer service: Friendly and kind;) Parking lot: Free. Maybe you can't find everything you need there. Some cheap stuffs are gone quickly. Oh, don't forget to take shopping bags with you!

Grocery shopping is always awful so you might as well save some money in the process. This place has great prices, is no frills, and is smaller than most stores so you're hopefully in and out faster. They have mostly store brands of stuff mixed with some normal brands. I've liked all the store brand stuff I've tried so far. They didn't have a ton of registers open when I was there so the lines were long, but more manageable than Trader Joe's. They also now take credit cards so that's a plus. Be sure and check the store hours before heading out since they aren't open as long as most stores. I'll be back here and hopefully remember a quarter for the shopping cart and the reusable bags since they don't have plastic or paper bags here.

More employees during evening shifts will minimize these one star reviews. Pls reach out to Trader Joe's for advice even if lines are super long they go very fast Bc there are multiple registers open so you don't "feel" the wait. In aldi you are going to feel every bit of the 39 min you are in line Bc the two lines go from the front to the back by the eggs and "impossibly" sign. It would be one thing if every register was open with long lines. But peak times two registers and no self checkout. Not only are you asking for a high turnover rate Bc your employees are gonna quit. As an employee was leaving I said sir where are you going the lines are bck to the milk he said "ain my problem"

I can't believe an Aldi opened up in the Fairlington area! Before you start hating, just note that this grocery chain is sisters with Trader Joe's! The grocery carries limited brand names, mostly generic/Aldi-produced food items, as well as other specialty items. I love how this place is super suped up, with the high ceilings, wooden beams, and hip signs! Prices are great - I am a fan of their baked goods and treats, baking ingredients (such as the cake mixes, sprinkles, and the frosting), their Happy Farms' soft cheeses, the Savoritz's Sea Salt Pita Crackers, the Moser Roth's Milk Chocolate Toffee Crunch, Mama Cozzi's pizzas, as well as the party tubs of ice cream. Don't forget to bring your reusable grocery bags (as you would have to dish out a few more cents for the store's plastic ones) - the friendly staff were passing out Aldi reusable grocery cloth bags in celebration of their opening day - YAY! There were also some samples, such as their cheeses, crackers, chocolates, and muffin snacks. Just note that the carts charge you a quarter, but when you put it back, you'll automatically get refunded (this is a way to ensure that you put the carts back!). +located in the CVS plaza +Happy Farms' soft cheeses +Mama Cozzi's pizzas +Savoritz's Sea Salt Pita Crackers +Moser Roth's chocolate bars +ciabatta breads +sopressata +gouda slices +pepper jack slices +baking goods +chocolate-covered potato chips :D (limited time special) +bring reusable grocery bags!!! +quarter required for use of grocery cart +cash or debit card only

4 people in line this guy walks up those cookies on takes masks off pays and retreats ..wtf

Produce has been put out while rotting last few weeks. Employees extra emotional for a job ..managers cut in line and take masks off to get personal items while on the clock when it's very busy .if you have rotting food you should have above average customer service ..if you have below average customer service with a side of no tact you should have above average produce

Eh, they let the lines get really long. Sometimes 10-12 people deep before they open a new one. I prefer Springfield store.

Good prices and fast checkout, but limited items (not much in the way of toiletries, for example). They now accept credit cards!

It's around back in the group of businesses, and worth the extra effort to find it! We went to both the restaurant and cruised and bought at the market. Owned/operated by Iraqis. Food was great and authentic, the market has many food products that are difficult to find. It just opened a couple of months ago, things are generally organized but still a little chaotic. The quality of the restaurant and market products is very good, and the staff all speaks English - no problem ordering or paying. Reasonable prices, we chowed and bought a lot of stuff and it didn't set us back much at all.

That said, unless you know exactly what you are looking for by sight, Arabic is a must for the items that are labeled, which isn't all of them, and for talking with the staff to find what you need. For those who speak Arabic and have lived in the Middle East, it will probably have what you are looking for and nice people to practice Arabic on, but it's not really for those completely new to the region. An authentic Middle Eastern grocery.
