New Grand Mart is an international grocery store, offering products from Southeast Asia, Central America, and West Africa. They have a good selection of produce, especially vegetables. The place is a little cramped, and the selection in the snacks department is a bit smaller than other stores. However, I do appreciate that they have the Ume Plum (mehshil) drink that I'm obsessed with, as these are difficult to find as they are hardly ever in stock! The staff here are pretty friendly, and they do their best in trying to locate certain items for you. +international grocery store +meshil drink available :D

Yes! It has the typical Asian supermarkets smell, which I can not stand with longer than 5 minutes. Yup!! They have many kinds of unique foods. I wish they put some recipes. I want to try everything but I have to google them. Yah!!! Seafood is cheap. Lobster is $8.99bl. According to some pictures other people posted, it is sometimes $5.99bl.

I got Mochi(rice cake) but it has mold on it!!!!! Ewwww!!!!Be aware of it!!!!!

Today, I stopped by to follow up and noticed that the packing plastic cover and labels have been freshly updated. My attention was drawn in to a specific a packet that apparently had the same weight and price from my visit yesterday. This makes me believe that the only thing being updated is the wrapping plastic cover and the label. This is very interesting considering the beef intestines have been on the shelves and good for sell by 9/2018 when I brought to the store manager who had no excuses, but remained defensive. Are these items being recycled to fool the consummers? Food safety is paramount to me.

Be careful when buying seaweed salad. It has a few stickers with past dates. The color says that they are very old

Three layers of past dates stickers.Terrible color of seaweed. They looks awful.Dont understand how they can sell old products?!Be careful when buying seaweed salad.

    Yellow dates love it !

Extremely Rude cashiers, usually latino ones. Managers needs to train for good manners. I will never return here ever.

If you've ever wondered what it's like to pay premium prices for a bargain-basement experience,…read morewelcome to Harris Teeter on North Saint Asaph. The self-checkout area is a masterclass in frustration. There aren't enough lanes, the systems look like they were installed sometime during the Bush administration, and half of them are usually "temporarily out of service" with paper bags draped over the screens like little brown tombstones. The line regularly stretches toward the back of the store, so forget "quick trip." The few seasoned employees who work that area really do try, but most of the self-checkout staff have perfected the art of standing nearby while being remarkably unhelpful. Prices, of course, are sky high--which might be easier to swallow if the place didn't feel so out of control. Shoplifting is clearly a sport here; you can literally watch people grab cases of beer and stroll right out the door. Handheld baskets are scarce because those walk out too. Outside, the loading dock area frequently smells putrid, and the seating area that's supposed to be for paying customers is often taken over by loiterers and left dirty and uninviting. It's not exactly the relaxing neighborhood grocery vibe they're going for. And then there's the parking garage. The lighting is dim enough that you half expect a crime drama to be filming in the corner. It feels dingy, not safe or welcoming, and the escalators from the garage to the store are out of service so often they might as well be decorative art pieces. For a grocery store in the heart of Old Town, this place should feel clean, secure, and well-managed. Instead, it's giving "municipal chaos with luxury pricing."
