Great location and I love the prices but the employees act like they hate their job. I hate asking a question because I'm never greeted in a friendly manner. I Instacart here often and it's my least favorite place to Instacart. The cashiers rarely listen when I tell them I have multiple orders at checkout. They mix items up and make it confusing for me to bag. I told this particular cashier how I wanted the items in the cart in order to keep the orders separate and he rolled his eyes and proceeded to throw them in the cart however he wanted to. I have been shopping at Aldi for years and I like every location. This venue is at the end of a strip mall and has limited parking. You should bring your own bags or pay for theirs. Shopping carts costs a quarter but you get the quarter back when you return the cart. All the items are store brand but the quality is better than global brands. The prices are also cheaper. I like to come here for wine, beer, snacks, pizza. The checkout will take forever since they only have 1 line open at a time. Cashier's do a wonderful job getting people in and out. This is definitely faster than self checkout lines. read more

Great prices, but the employees rarely are helpful and/or smiling. It's also pretty annoying that they won't open a 2nd check out lane until the first one has a huge line. I've been seeing Aldi's sprout in random locations so I went inside to check it out. My friend had told me it's a European supermarket with generic brands that focuses mostly on dry foods. They do have a section for produce and meats, too. Very good prices - e.g., bag of baby carrots for just $.69. Like Ben O said, it's a mini-warehouse looking set-up. Looking around, customer mix was mostly Hispanic which reflected this part of town. Interesting notes - they charge $.25 to use the shopping carts but the $.25 is refunded upon return. Also, they don't give out shopping bags so bring your own. read more

If you arent familiar with ALDI, think upscale bodega. Like all Aldi's, it's got very fresh produce, great prices and their own brands. This location is either very new or recently updated, like many other locations in the area. It flows well, the aisles are wide, and on the Thursday mid-morning I was there, it wasnt crowded. I stopped by Aldi because I had seen they had a previous sale on some camping equipment. I was about to go on a deployment and I wanted to see what they had on hand. There were actually quite a few things for a grocery store! I opted for $10 camp pad. Turns out it wasn't too comfortable, so that was unfortunately. I think it may have been harder than the floor, if that's possible! I haven't been in an Aldi for quite a long time as it is not very convenient to my home. But I was pretty impressed by their selection of items. I didn't really need anything but the camp pad, but I ended up grabbing some Indian spices, organic milk, dressing, and pasta sauce, as well. The actual store and it's products are great. I can't even tell you how I walked out with one full bag of groceries (a tall cloth grocery bag) for just $17. Great prices and great quality. It is diifficult to navigate this store if you've never been and yes you do need a quarter to use their shopping carts. A nice young man gave me one. In fact if you've never been to ALDI I repeat do not go to the Buford hwy location. Go to Moreland or a different location where they actually help newbies. The MANAGER was unprofessional with the exception of my cashier Gracia. The manager was very rude and cold. My first visit will be my last. read more

I just had the nicest experience at ALDI. I shopped here yesterday. When I got home, I noticed the bag of coffee I had bought was missing it's factory seal. Both the cashier and the clerk were cheerfully helpful, and because it was a product issue, they gave me a replacement bag (what I was expecting) and also my money back (which I was in no way expecting). I love a good bargain, so therefore I love Aldi. Let's talk about Aldi using "yes" and "no": Yes, you need 25 cents to rent a buggy. Yes, you have to bring your own bags or buy theirs (6 cents for paper, a dime for plastic). No, they do not accept credit cards (but they do accept debit cards, EBT, and cash). Yes, virtually all of their products are Aldi-brand. You won't find many name brands here. Yes, Aldi-brand is high quality. The majority of their items are as good (if not a little better) than name brands. They are certainly better quality than, say, Kroger-brand, Market Pantry, or Great Value. No, they won't have every single thing you're looking for. And most importantly: Yes, if you shop here you will save a noticeable amount of money. read more

Definitely a different kind of store than I expected- I stopped in to check it out after my sister told me that it's a place that has some unique groceries. It absolutely reminds me of a European market- most of the staples are here but the brands are all unrecognizable (Aldi store or "other" brands). Good value...most items are lower than your local Kroger or Publix, but the store itself is small...it won't have everything you need. I saw this as a good place to buy chocolate, cookies & crackers for entertaining or gifts, baking items, and some random produce/dairy/frozen items, like a foreign budget version of Trader Joe's. -$.25 for a shopping cart...so either cough up the quarter, bring your own cart, your friends to carry your stuff, or be prepared to juggle carrying all your items -$ for paper or plastic bags, so bring your own recycle bags are the best option, which I usually do anyway -No credit cards accepted- cash or debit only. read more

Aldi is like a miniature warehouse: excellent value, limited selection. For $3.03, I took home three juicy, ripe half-pound tomatoes, a cucumber that could have swallowed them, and two pounds of carrots. I didn't bring a quarter, so I couldn't unlock a shopping cart. Next time I'll be prepared. There are no handbaskets, so I'm glad I was only shopping for a few things. My cashier was friendly and very efficient. Next time, I'll grab some of their three-dollar wine and taste it against Two-and-a-Half-Buck Chuck. We'll see if it actually tastes 20% better! read more

At first I was skeptical because I knew it was a different kind of grocery store before I went in. You would more likely find me at Whole Foods than a bargain grocer. Why do I shop there? It is because they have a huge selection/variety of chocolate candy- some brand name , some not, at very reasonably prices. Once in a while, I find other items I use at bargain prices. As a reviewer said before, you don't go in with a list. Rather an idea of what you could use and a willingness to act upon bargains you find for items you don't really need. BTW, I have only seen well maintained stores. If I came across a dirty store, no matter how good the prices are, I would not shop there. read more

When you're looking to save a few bucks check these guys out! Love the wines under $3! SO this week was my first trip to Aldi to date and I have to say, I'm a big fan. First off - I know some people want a lot of frills and a pretty store when they go grocery shopping, but when I am in a hurry and only need to pick up the essentials this place is a win. It's much smaller than a regular grocery store...a lot smaller. This particular location is smaller than a CVS or a Walgreens, which makes it easy to get in and out. Secondly.... if you need flour or chips or something relatively simple, they don't have a million options to stress you out like regular grocer. They just have one option for each thing, which is a nice change of pace. Also - they have massive take and bake pizzas for $5.99 which is very tasty and will easily feed a family of four. Most of the veggies are approximately half of what they would be in a regular store and the all around savings are VERY noticable! read more

I was happy to hear that Aldi was coming to town because one of my best friends has been raving about it for years. All in all, I like it a lot, but it has a few quirks that threw me off guard. - You have to pay a quarter to use a shopping cart. Your money is reimbursed if you return the cart to the designated area. - No shopping bags are provided, so bring your own, rent a cart, or be prepared to carry it all out. - Credit cards aren't accepted, but debt cards and cash are. - You can't go in with a shopping list expecting to find everything on your list. Items are displayed in bulk on rows and vary from visit to visit. Prices are good, but I never know what I'm going to walk out of there with! - Most brands and names that you've never heard of before, but generally they taste like any other name brand you'd buy at another store. read more

They opened up 2-3 packages of everything and hand selected the ones that best suited them and then closed up the other packages and placed them back on the shelf. An amazing place to shop. When they first opened I went in and was put off by the lack of "name brands" But the gallon milk ($1.99) , produce & nuts were good. I would forget to shop there but as finances have gotten tighter I decided to give them another real try. they do have a" money back "guarantee on their products. Well, I am now one of their biggest fans! They had strawberries for most of the summer for .99 a quart and blueberries for $1.99 a pint. I started trying their store brands and I can't believe I like most of them BETTER then the national brands! Most boxes of cereal are $1.99 and taste better then the national brands. Their meats are surprisingly good and on Wednesday's they feature a super discounted meat item. Their plastic storage bags, tin foil,etc are great. You can't buy everything there but if you are into saving money they are worth the stop! read more

Cheap cheap and cheap....you get what you pay for. With any aldi's you pay for the bags, rent the cart for a quarter and wait in long lines unless you arrive at the crack of dawn. Side note they open at 10:00am most days. I like the store and that's my main grocery store but their produce selection is lacking and not always the most fresh. There are times when the truck may have not arrived yet so they may not have the items you need. I've had great and bad experiences here but it's definitely worth it at times. I can say though that I once got $100 cash back and one of the $20 bill was fake. but beyond that a they are a good store, cheap, affordable and close by. read more

Although there are a billion tv commercials for Aldi, I had no idea where any of these stores actually were... until I noticed this sparkling new location in a shopping center right next to my beloved Com Vietnamese Grill. If you go here knowing you won't find certain things or specific brands but want to save a LOT of $$$, you'll be very happy with your experience. This mini-warehouse was super clean, organized, and well-stocked, and the expiration dates on all of their products were insanely far off into the future. The quality of the produce beats that of many local Krogers, their store brands taste just like their more expensive counterparts, and the prices are unbeatably low. I have to deduct 1 star because the overall selection is a bit too small for a big grocery shopper like me. I wish there were more stores like this closer in to the city, but I definitely see myself stopping here for some things when I'm on one of my Bu-Hi culinary adventures. A good example for "you get what you pay for". I am a health nut so I don't like this place. They have very small variety of fruit and vegetables that are not much cheaper than Publix. This is basically a little marketplace that has the basics for a lower price than normal. You are not going to find many name brand items here, but the ones here are just as good. It's basically a grocery store on a smaller and cheaper scale. You can buy your toiletries here in addition to meats, bread, cheese, etc. For what it is, I give it 5 stars, but if you are looking for more variety like I do, then I would skip it. read more

I let my tastebuds control my lifestyle. I am not a fan of meat but some days I do enjoy salmon, cheese as well as uncooked vegetables. If I had to label myself, depending on the day, week or month, I am raw vegan, vegan, pescatarian and lacto-ovo vegetarian or just me lol. Whew! A lot I know but I don't like to deprive my tastebuds. Anyways, ALDI prices are extremely low and I like that but it is always a hit and miss with the produce. On my visit I discovered several rotten tomatoes. I need to preface this review to say that I am a fairly low maintenance, practical, no nonsense working mom who appreciates good value (yes I'm also Asian) and I think this is why I like Aldi. If you love filling up your cart at a Whole Foods or Fresh Market, then Aldi is not the place for you. First of all, this entire store is run by about 2 or 3 people (who you will find hauling ass - no one who works here stops moving because stuff flies off the shelves). I think that's great because they save on operating expenses (no deli, no bakery, no meat/seafood counter, no guy gathering shopping carts in the parking lot). They have really cheap, inexpensive produce when it's in season (even a few organic items). We're talking 99 cent strawberries and blueberries, a watermelon for less than $3. Here are some other gems I think are worth getting at Aldi (and the last price I saw for them): -organic milk ($2.59) -dozen eggs ($0.89) -pint of organic vanilla yogurt ($2.99) -organic spinach, arugula, kale or spring mix ($2) -organic Popsicles 4ct (coconut, mango, strawberries, banana)$3 -organic oatmeal (instant or steel cut) -prosciutto (I am addicted to this) 3 ounces for $3 -organic loaf of bread $2.50 -German dark chocolates (my favorites are the Moser Roth orange almond and dark chili), $2 -organic basmati rice -organic quinoa -organic beans, lentils And they now accept credit cards! So Aldi is usually my first stop on Buford Hwy. And whatever I can't get there, I just get at City Farmers Market up the road. I also want to point out that as someone who used to work in food manufacturing, buying brand label instead of store brand is a waste of money. So often two different brand products come for the same exact plant - they just slap on a different label so that a consumer thinks they're getting a higher quality product. Yet another reason to shop at Aldi and buy their store brand. read more

Yes, you do need a quarter for a buggy, but you get it back when you put it back in place. High quality everything---chicken salad and cole slaw like any good deli. Whole wheat, but no whole grain bread, no frozen yogurt, just ice cream. Despite the lack of a wide selection, what is there is good quality and fresh, and prices are lower than other grocery stores. Out of all the stores I've shopped this one on Buford Hwy is by far the cleanest, has the freshess fruit and vegetables, the meat is outstanding, the fit and active products are the bomb. Everything I have purchased as been of excellent quality. I cook for a lot of my friends and now they all say : This is so good where did you get it? Then they all say I know Aldi right?
