I am writing to report a concerning experience I had at this location during a recent visit. I have been to this location several times before, but this particular visit was very different. After receiving my smoothie, I noticed it did not taste as it normally does. I politely informed the associate. In response, the associate began yelling and using profanity while preparing the drink. Additionally, there was another individual present who made me feel uncomfortable due to her behavior. Given the associate's escalating behavior--yelling, cursing, slamming items, and appearing visibly agitated--I no longer felt safe accepting the drink. I requested a refund instead. The associate continued to act erratically, including shouting and handling the situation in an unprofessional manner. At that point, I chose to leave the premises for my own safety without receiving my refund. As I was pulling away, I observed the associate walking toward a wooded area while continuing to yell and use profanity, which further reinforced my concerns about safety and professionalism at this location. I have since contacted customer service but have not yet received a response or resolution. Based on this experience, I am very concerned about both customer safety and service standards at this location. I would appreciate prompt follow-up regarding my refund and assurance that this issue will be addressed. read more

Really bad customer service and overall they always said they are out of bowls each time I go.

Let's start with the location itself. I've seen trap houses that look better than this place. The parking lot is crumbling and falling apart, the weeds are 4ft tall and you can't tell if it's open or closed. There are no lights and no sign with their hours. There is a drive-thru but first you must pass the overflowing dumpster. I already know what I want so this shouldn't take long. All of a sudden I hear "welcome to smoothie king..we only taking exact change". Surely they're going to follow up with 'everything is half-priced due to the inconvenience' but nope. So because I REALLY wanted a smoothie I go scrounging for bills and change...don't judge me. I don't have either. But now I'm in line. There is a car in front of me that has been waiting quite some time for their order and now a car behind me. I go big and throw it in reverse. As I'm passing the car behind me she asks if they're closed and I tell her about the exact change issue. She says "it's always something going on at this location!" Needless to say I will not return to this Smoothie King. And I'm sure they're ok with that based on the level of customer service I received. From now on I'll just stick with the brand new location at 3330 Piedmont Rd. The ladies there are friendly and they get your order made quickly! read more

We got 4 smoothies at the drive thru. Was nervous from the other reviews, but our service and smoothies were fantastic.

It is so rare for me to give a single star, but like many, I am just absolutely perplexed as to how this location is still in business. This location is right next to my house so I truly feel like I have given them enough chances to get at least one visit right. I have attempted to get a smoothie here over several times and have never actually left with a product. The twice despite people being inside they refused to come to window or to answer the monitor. Once they just said they were closed (middle of day) Today I went and they said they weren't taking orders because they were out of ice... that's literally the whole business. The worst customer service every time I come. The associates don't speak, they look at you with a blank stare as if you are bothering them. Today I couldn't take it so I just drove off. I showed up at 8:10 pm on a Tuesday. Waited in the drive thru line for about 10 minutes, no response, I drove around the building and there was someone in there walking around. I proceeded to wrapping back around the building and let the attendant know it wasn't 9pm yet, and he came on the speaker saying he can choose to serve me or not and he didn't want to serve me. I simply loved Smoothie King! Imagine my surprise when I used my smartphone to find the closest store near my job. It was raining so I was hoping to find a location where I could get in and out quickly. Luckily this location is less than 2 miles from my office and it is a drive thru!#winning This location was formerly Checkers and if you are familiar with the Checkers floor plan, you know it has a dual drive thru as well as an option to walk up and order. This is an added bonus for a Smoothie King. Can you say, "quick"? Even though only one lane was open for service today, it only took about 5 minutes to order and pay. I will definitely be a regular customer. If I could give this negative stars I would. I usually love Smoothie King but this location is the absolute worst! The employees are rude and slow and the smoothies are the worst which makes no sense bc I know they have to follow a recipe. I had to return the smoothie and still ended up with a watered down nasty smoothie. The owner really needs to hire new people. read more

I've been to this restaurant a few times and have always been treated like crap. The employees seem ambivalent and don't seem to care about how to treat the customers Then yesterday was the worst. I ordered the Blueberry smoothie and after about 2 hours succumbed to salmonella poisoning. I haven't felt this sick in years. I had to contact my doctor and get medication to control my nausea. I had aches and pains too. I'm still suffering from this condition this morning big and can't work. Someone needs to take a long hard look at this location and franchise. The GM was quite rude when I asked for a pup cup for my dog. They never have the "correct" cups in stock and she refused to use the small kids cups instead and was quizzing me on which employees typically do this. read more

I'm not sure how to write this location. The smoothies are always fine but it's just the employees. That's pretty much hit or miss. If you pay in cash and they give you a bunch of ones back you better count it before you leave. read more

Drive-up smoothies. Quick and easy. And they were fast. In the world of smoothie competitions, I can't decide which competitor I like the most. What I want is fresh ingredients, speedy service, and a friendly disposition. These guys have that. This one seems to be a drive-in service only. Two lanes. They had no problem hearing my order, and it didn't take them much time to make my smoothie. Good location, and convenient since is very close to my home. This is a drive thru store. The people that work here is nice and happy. Fridays medium smoothie cost only $5. They are open everyday and all day! We love the strawberry the hulk ( and add whey protein to be creamer). Açai adventures is also a good option. read more

Well I give this Smoothie King 3 stars, but i had to take away 2 stars for the service. I will preface it with this, the drink was on point. Now let me get to the minus 2 stars. I pulled up to the drive through speaker and all I heard was a faint voice with Beyoncé playing hella loud in the speaker. I asked to have a minute to look at the menu and the lady working was not only listening to music loudly, she also allowed the music to play loud in the speaker while I was looking at the menu and she was singing the lyrics. Lol. I placed my order and she did not sound enthusiastic at all. I drove to the window where I was met with more loud music, more singing and even dancing. $5 Fridays! Only $5.35 for a medium smoothie - it easily feeds two! So thankful Smoothie King opened up. Its conveniently located on the corner of Buford and Clairmont, where the Checkers used to be. The menu is lengthy and there are tons of options, even a couple smoothies with kale and other veggies. I've been twice and enjoyed both smoothies, although I couldsn't finish either because you really get a lot for what you pay for! I tried the Berry Carrot Dream, which was really good! It was more juice-esque than smoothie, so it wasn't very heavy. In fact, it was really refreshing. I will definitely try it again. Because it was Friday, I tried the $5 Friday special, which is a medium smoothie, and wowzers - when they handed it to me, I thought they had given me the wrong order! A medium is huge! I took it to work and split it with a colleague, who declared it delicious as well. YUM. My second visit I tried one of the new Chobani smoothies. I got the strawberry blueberry, but this time I got a small. Again, HUGE! The prices are a bit spendy (It was about $4.50 for the small), but the portions are really huge. I couldn't finish my smoothie again! I really liked the chobani smoothie. It was definitely more smoothie-like than the veggie smoothie, and the yogurt made it very filling. Yummy. Smoothie King is the king of Smoothies. This location used to be a Checkers. It has a drive thru and a walk-up window. Service is excellent. The menu of smoothies is big enough to make your head explode. I will save you some time. I like the Gladiator, the new Mocha Almond, and the Yogurt D-lite. A small is plenty for one person. I live in the neighborhood behind this SK so I frequent this place. 99% of the time there's an issue here. The owner of this franchise should NOT be allowed to operate this store. His store is ruining the smoothie king company name. This location is so horrible that I don't even put my order in on the app anymore because when I do, I arrive and they almost always tell me they're out of peanut butter or some major ingredients to make the smoothie. I've also been told I can only pay with exact cash because their system is down, I've been told I can only pay with a credit card because it was after 7pm... last week i waited in line just to get to the speaker and have the lady tell me, "sorry but it's going to take 30 minutes to make a smoothie" just any kind of BS you can imagine.
