I came in to buy flowers but ended up leaving with Salmon Burgers, Elote Street corn flavoured tortilla chips and chocolate chunk cookies (Yum)!!! Their flowers are always so fresh and pretty, and always makes me want to buy them all. Their produce and meat is always fresh. They are always well stocked with goodies. Their prices are unbeatable. The layout of the store is easy on the eyes, and always clean.They always have amazing and friendly staff that's always willing to help and make small talk with you. You can never go wrong with making a trip to Trader Joe's. I guarantee that you will walk out with something!

It was about $4.00 cheaper compared to another Asian market. They also had various Filipino frozen goods: tocino, longganisa, lumpia, and frozen meals. I was impressed by their Japanese goods section, but I didn't need anything at the time! The parking lot is small, so just be mindful getting in and out.

There were tons of other snacks and a lot of Asian specialty items as well. Nice to have a store anchored in a busier area and near the university. United Provisions has turned into decent place to stop for a quick snack. When I stopped by last week, I bought 2 tornado relief fundraising mystery snack boxes. What a nice idea and so nicely presented. My cat enjoyed sitting on the wrapping paper. I've only unboxed one (the other is a gift). I don't want to spoil the mystery here, but I will add that I was a little disappointed that there were no chips or crackers in the box. However, the box value seemed quite good.

In addition to the huge market area inside, there is a bubble tea stand, hot food with seating, and some skincare products across the front wall. The market itself is kind of amazing. There was an extensive selection of fresh Asian fruits, vegetables and herbs at great prices. Once we got into the aisles, there was, again, a huge selection - some of our favorite things were all the bottled sodas/coffees, the mochis and all the vinegars/sauces. In the back there is fish area that has live crabs, lobsters and even eels in addition to fresh fish. There is also a halal meat counter. When you walk into 6427 S Hampton you can see that they have some great ideas. The place has green accents and even Aliska had green glasses and socks with pickles. She means business. I tried Ms. Brilliant Black Garlic (this would be great as a marinade on fish), Ms. Bodacious Black Cherry (in a little vodka? Yes please) and Ms. Hilarious Hickory Sweet Hot Bacon (cupcake...yup) but there are 31 more for me to try. I ended up buying 2 relishes Ms. Intelligent Sweet Spicy Dill Garlic (it kicked up my tuna salad) and Ms. Fearless Fireball Whiskey (good by itself... it's not alcoholly (new word)). These are sold at Soulard Market already but with a storefront Aliska is going to start incorporating her pickles and relish into various foods like meatloaf, quiches and even cupcakes. (She had a sample and it was moist and never would you have thought that pickles were in it. I'm giving her a 4 because I'm waiting for her to roll out her breakfast and then I'll go back and update.
