Went to aldi before the winter storm hit yesterday! Power was out which isn't a big deal but how the manager Megan spoke to her staff and allowed other customers to treat them was disgusting. She came in because power was out and one of her staff members stated "well today's going to be a 5 star day" (as a joke) to which she replied "well for you it won't be" who talks to their staff like that?! What a disrespectful face to the company. However when I walked in I was greeted by a lovely woman who is the lead store associate Londin Love and she expressed apology that the freezer section was closed because of lack of power and running on back up generator. I didn't care even tho most of my list was in the freezer and refrigerator section because these things aren't in their control when a storm knocks out their power! But Londin Love deserves to be the new manager of the store and Megan needs to be kicked to the curb! Megan did not care how her employees were treated or talked to by upset customers who wanted things from the refrigerator or freezer section. No self checkouts so it's always a long wait in line because they barely schedule enough cashiers. I save time by driving twice the distance to the aldi on Sheridan in Williamsville or transit in depew vs how long I've often had to wait in line at this Aldi. read more

Worst Aldi I've ever been to, and I've been to a bunch of locations. Produce was a disaster, with fruits smashed all over the ground. Only one register open at 6:30PM. Note, no self check-outs. You only had one person at rush hour with no self-checks? Terrible management skills. read more

I have literally passed by several Aldi stores during our trips to Buffalo, NY without much thought. My Yelp friend Christine B. told me it was a sister store to my favorite Trader Joe's, so I had to check it out! We chose this location because it was close to our hotel. The store is clean, well maintained, and offers a no frills shopping experience. I picked up some good deals such as: - gluten-free crackers - organic fair trade coffee beans - pure vanilla extract - organic herbs/spices - whole flax seeds - organic canned beans - jarred pesto - dark chocolate butter cookies - sweet Hawaiian stuffing mix - cute key chains Check out was easy breezy, and I can see why this chain store is so popular. The prices are really great in this store to go grocery shopping! I love the produce, cheeses, appetizers selections to chose from! At any time new products around the world are offered to try but will not break your bank!(Don't get me wrong I love Wegmans but I'm on a real budget here!) I have been coming to the Walden Avenue location for many years and the staff are always so friendly. They're always busy at work replenishing stock and ordering things in the aisles. I am a true fan of all these grocery and I am thankful to have such a nice location not too far away for me that isn't extra busy or crowded every day. They do get great business but it's just not craziness in there and I appreciate that because that's a turn off For some of the other locations for me. This location seems to have a fresh selection of fruits and vegetables compared to others and I appreciate that especially in there baby Bella mushrooms that always seem to look great. I go to Aldi's almost every day. As well as Dollar tree and Wegmans. I have a problem. These three stores I'm addicted too. I shop lots of places but hey what can I say. Aldi's on Walden is typically clean, the restroom is clean normally. The prices are freaking amazing of course. Some things I feel like there gouged the prices but that's just some. Most of the time the staff is helpful here. My issue is the same at the other Aldi's stores ... Not enough staff. Generally I'll see two registers, sometimes one open. I know there are times when there's more registers open but these people need help. Customers can be super rude and the cashier's have no control over who is scheduled to work. Anyway. I haven't had any bad experiences lately from this location. That's always a plus. read more

Produce is iffy as usual. Avocados were on sale for .49 couldn't go wrong with that. Bottle water is cheaper than regular stores and taste good so I get that when I come here. Overall very inexpensive to pick up a few odds & ins if you don't mind waiting in line longer than it takes you to shop read more

This Aldi is a good location. Sometimes it is hard to find products that are normally stocked, and you have to go a couple times before you see them restocked. It is clean, and there are a variety of products. There is a great gluten free section. read more

What's good about this store is really good, and what's not is, well, not. They're always adding more and more organic products at prices that can't be beat. At the rate my (not picky) husband goes through cereal and lactose-free milk, I'd go broke buying the big name brands. Moser Roth dark chocolate - yum! Other good buys: imported olive oil, pure maple syrup, canned beans, cheese. I thought I was a hardcore Hellmann's mayo die hard, but I've come to love Aldi's store brand just as much. I've occasionally come across some real finds in the non-food aisle. Really nice cutting boards, and just last week I snagged a soft-sided pet carrier for 15 bucks! It's fairly well made, and will work just fine for hauling one of my six felines to the vet (yes, I have six cats. Don't judge.) I never buy seafood here. Most of it comes from China. No thanks. And produce quality is so inconsistent. I'm always looking for new snacks for my crunch craving spouse, hence the saga of the peanut puffs. They're like Cheetos puffs, but instead of day-glo orange cheese, they're coated with peanut dust. Sounds yucky to me, but he LOVED them. Since they were a limited time item, next time I shopped I bought eight bags. By the time he finished the first bag, he decided he no longer loved them. No longer even liked them. Great. I love Aldi's specifically for one thing- their keto friendly products. They are the only place I know of that carries genuine keto bread. Sometimes a girl just needs a sandwich! They are occasionally out of my favorite kind (white) but I can make do with wheat. They even have bagels and multigrain wraps! I was there just last night to pick up some loaves and the cashier was so helpful- I was last in line so she even put my groceries in the bag for me! I frequently bought cookies at Aldi for my morning work meetings. Never had an issue. Tonight I was told that the 13 packs of cookies were not allowed to be purchased at that store when I am taking the last on the shelf. I've spent hundreds of dollars at Aldi for this purpose. Now I am a Walmart cookie shopper I guess. Thank you Aldi manager for your rude aggressive denial of my cookie purchase. read more

The service was horrible, we go to this Aldis all the time and the cashier Emily S was so rude...she was in conversation with another cashier who's lane was closed and who's name I didn't get. We were the only customers in line and she didn't even scan our items until we stepped into her line of sight and blocked her friend. She finally scanned all of our 3 items and then STOPPED TO CONTINUE her conversation. Our total was very visible and we were paying in cash but she ignored us even when I tried to wave a $20 to get her attention. They were speaking about someone who didn't know the proper way to shelve things or some such. Nothing important, and certainly not important enough to ignore customers who have things to do and are trying to get out the door in the morning. We've witnessed this cashier do this before but not to ourselves. Her behavior is ignorant and rude and after noticing the cash in my hand she goes "oh sorry hun, have a nice day'...hun????
