We were in store yesterday and based on our observations and experience at check-out, the store management would prefer that customers use self check-out versus checking out with an associate. The associate would leave the register and go to something else for about five minutes before returning to check us out. Rude!! I don't know Aldi! Today I bought a pack of meat only to find out it was expired a week ago. I went back for my nice guarantee (get a replacement + $$ back) and the entire stock was expired! I have been an Aldi supported for years, but lately it seems as though no one really cares. Bring Julie back! One of the many things I love about Aldi is their customer service. Regardless of which store I go to, the customer service is always great. There seem to be just one cashier at most stores, and it amazes me how quickly they ring people up. Despite long lines, they are able to keep a positive attitude. This Aldi is no different. This location isn't ideal. It's on a busy highway and you can't make a left turn out of the parking lot. Plenty of parking, though. I don't see parking ever being an issue even during busy days/hours. The store is clean and well stocked. I was able to find my staples easily. I'd shop here often if it was closer to me. read more

Loved how clean the store was nice WIDE aisles Unlike other stores that pack the aisles full of displays so u cannot maneuver! Store was well lit, clean and easy to find stuff. All expiration dates I found were a few weeks/months into the future. My only complaint is GETTING INTO the parking lot. The left hand turn from Browns Bridge road is DANGEROUS!!!! The roads do *not*line up so if there is a vehicle turning into the Walmart parking center - you can't see around the vehicle in the other turn lane!!!! They need to change the turn signal to red/green only. Also there is only one road/ lane you have to travel on - so u have to bypass the Starbucks and Popeyes parking lot traffic. They need to make another lane that goes around the BACK so u can by pass that congestion read more

Just had my first experience as an ALDI customer, and I've never had my sensibilities more under assault as a consumer in my life. The first thing you notice when you walk through the door is that there are no carts (because they're all outside for some reason), and when you go back out to grab one you're met with these hideous anti-homeless theft chains locking the carts together, which, naturally, requires you insert a quarter (who in the h*ll has a change under 60?) to access. Once you finally haggle your way into a cart, you walk in to find yourself in an "ambiance" akin to an air conditioned shipping container full of cardboard boxes and non-displays that imply you've just walked into some sort of third world NGO foods access programme. By the way, if you hadn't secured yourself a cart, you'll be forced to carry your things with your hands and elbows. In fact, if you take a look around, you'll notice almost everyone has a cluster of of things in every compartment they can manage: hands, elbows, armpits and all, as if we are all participating in a collective mass looting of the store. And finally, when you go to check out, and you wait in that line because of course there could only be one cashier (these are true minimalists), you discover that you will have to request bags "if you want them" and, of course, you'll have to grab them yourself. I've never seen a more crass attempt at radical chic ever pulled off to this degree. This is a truly vein attempt at recreating Russian surfdom. I'm convinced if any aristocrat from the 19 century and before had seen the horrors of the ALDI system, slavery would've never been abolished, and women's sufferage would've never been achieved - simply as a precaution. This is the worst Aldi I have ever been to! Most of the staff are so rough with your groceries that by the time you get them home, your fresh produce is mutilated, bruised and so damaged that it rots very quickly. I have approached several of the staff when I see them man-handling the fresh produce while stocking the shelves and it is clear they absolutely do not care about the quality their customers buy. Also, at the check out, unless I ask, they will throw and slam all your groceries, including your fragile items produce, bread, chips, cookies, eggs, yogurt, etc. into the cart so hard that it gets damaged. I always ask, " do you mind to take it easy with my fragile items?" Only then will they not smash everything. Also of note, I have witnessed, on multiple occasions, the stockers not properly rotating the food, putting new on top of old. To make it worse, the staff is extremely rude! They are in the race of their life and they are cut throat at winning. They have to go so fast (this is Aldi's corporate policy!!!) that they must be under so much stress that they show they do not care about the quality of food or care about their customers. I have approached management and they say they will correct it but it's the same every time I go. They absolutely do not care! I love Aldi and you can't beat their prices for the same quality you would get else where, but this location is off the chart horrible! I'd give them a zero stars if I could. Everything I am saying I have on video and pictures to prove it. Can't find the phone number to take it up the chain to the corporate office. You have been warned! Shop elsewhere! Not all Aldis are created equal. This one stands out more than others. The staff is kind, efficient, and regular. I love seeing the same people when I go in. While they do run out of things as all do, I find the selections more consistent. I also like the layout of this store, it makes more sense to me than some others do. The prices are great, especially on meats, cheese, eggs, and produce. Produce is definitely hit or miss, but I tend to find better quality and dresser produce here than I do at other locations. This is a weekly go to for me. Couldn't live without it! read more

The cashier was not at the register when I went to check out so I had to wait. When they finally came over they made no eye contact and did not say anything to me. Then they loaded my two heavy sparking water boxes into a cart which I was told I could not take with me. So while I fumbled to put my wallet in my purse the cashier continued to put the next customers purchased into the same cart as my water. And picking the two 12 can boxes up from the cart was difficult and they offered no help at all. Generally I love Aldi because their prices are great, but the customer service I received was terrible. read more

I've been a huge fan of Aldi since the first day I shopped there. Today, I am especially thankful for the management at this particular Cumming location. I made a major gaffe and essentially did not have a form of payment on my person. The manager was super calm, very patient and kind, while I fumbled to regroup and pay for my order. May seem like no big deal to many, but to me, it saved my morning (and the birthday meal/dessert I had shopped for). THANK YOU! read more

This store, (owned by the Trader Joe's Company), has quickly become one of my favorite places to shop regardless of its location. I have shopped at the stores in Alpharetta, Roswell, Duluth, Ohio and now Cumming. I love that these stores are predictable and consistent in terms of layout and content. You can easily shop from store to store without feeling discombobulated and overwhelmed. On this Fourth of July Holiday, I have to give a special "shout out" to those awesome ribs. These are not what I call "restaurant ribs" that are very thin and practically meatless. While I could eat a full rack of restaurant ribs, I can only eat a half rack of these meaty ribs and they will hold me for the next six hours. They are always fresh, (never frozen) and cook up beautifully. While I have actually had to return ribs to other stores due to issues with freshness, I have had no problem with Aldi's ribs. The produce can sometimes be "hit or miss" but lately the nectarines have been unbelievable: sweet and delicious!. Some of my must buy items are sweet potato chips, light blue tortilla chips, both low in sodium, avocados, cold and hot cereals, pasta, breads, cheese, Greek yogurt, Jumbo cinnamon rolls, (make your own glaze and these things are the bomb, perfect for the weekend), raw nuts, chocolate covered pretzels, spices, cheesecake, 100% juice options and other cool things. I like that they have a lot of cool promotional items that come in and keep the options interesting, (gourmet cheese, chicken sausage, white pizza, special desserts and more). Just remember that if you try something you like, grab it because it might not be there on your next visit. Yes, they have some gluten free options available. They also have a rotating supply of non-food items that may include dishes, cookware, organizers,shopping bags, lawn items, pet supplies etc. You will just never know what you may find so it's an interesting treasure hunt. In order to maximize savings, this store has grocery carts that can be rented for 25 cents and when you return the cart, your money is refunded. I have never used the carts because I prefer to use my roller bags which are easy and efficient. Paper bags are sold for 10 cents each but random boxes are free. Go often and take a friend, you'll thank me! read more

New Aldi's in Cumming. Same great inventory, same great prices, same friendly service. Located on Buford Highway past the 400, past the Home Depot, past the Ingles, across from the Publix, keep going, little farther, oops you passed it, turn around...lol. Just as good, just as nice, just as pleasant as the store in Milton/Alpharetta on 9, but newer. I wish I could say its closer than the other store, or faster to get to, but it aint, so I wont, but I wish I could...so I could say I did. :) read more

This is one GREAT store! I've shopped at Aldi in several locations across the country and ALWAYS appreciate the pricing, selections, courtesy. Just wish there were more stores in areas outside of big cities so more people could have the option easily of saving more money with their groceries. Store-brands are equal quality to name-brands, meat items and produce fresh, dairy comparable to any high-dollar grocery stores -- guaranteed with return/refunded and replaced. Non-grocery items change weekly and provide good saving opportunities; even seasonal product selections are savings. Without exception, the stores I've been in are clean, organized, efficiently stocked. Goods are stacked in such a manner to make it easy to see inventory with clearly marked unit pricing. Mega-sizes or bulk quantities are not mandatory as in most membership stores. Savings roughly 10% to 30% less than Walmart, Kroger, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Target, Publix, or any other national/regional chain I've shopped. If you've not been to an Aldi store, bring your own bags/totes, a refundable quarter for a cart and improve your budget with a visit to see for yourself! read more
