Found this out on a shelf (room temp). Told an employee it's supposed to be refrigerated. She told me I was wrong.

Aldi...where shopping at Publix is a pleasure. You can't beat the prices at Aldi! Be prepared to lose some of the creature comforts of Publix. Environmentally friendly, bring your own reusable bags or pay a few cents per bag and know the cashiers won't bag your groceries for you. The produce is fresh the milk is inexpensive. My major gripe with Aldi...while I was shopping I noticed they stocked a food item on the shelves that should have been refrigerated. The tortellini pasta which clearly states should be "stored at 40 degrees F" (you know...to prevent food poisoning) was sitting on a regular shelf. I brought this up to an Aldi employee who gave me some answer well it only needs to be refrigerated when opened...I showed her the package that clearly stated refrigerate or freeze. I ran into the employee over by the dairy/meat area and I saw the same tortellini pasta in the refrigerated area...and I pointed it out to her...she told me well it's like different types of milk some milks are refrigerated and some are not... she was very polite but full of all the wrong answers...as I was at the check outline I saw a pack of raw chicken thawing at the register...must be that new chicken that doesn't need to be refrigerated...All I'm saying go to Aldi and enjoy the low prices but be careful what you purchase make sure if it needs to be refrigerated that it's cool/frozen

This place saved me. If you're on a tight budget, get your staples and even treats here. I was able to fully stock up on essentials for $70. My trunk was stuffed. Everything I've tried so far has been of excellent quality.

    Trunk was stuffed!

Having already been to Publix I knew it was going to be a very expensive trip to go there so off to Aldi's I go.

This iconic fruit stand is a true South Florida institution. From the moment you pull in, it feels like stepping into a charming, old-school roadside market bursting with color and character. Crates overflow with vibrant tropical fruits, the air smells sweet and fresh, and the whole place has that nostalgic, family-run charm you just don't find everywhere anymore. The mamey milkshake is my go-to and hands down my favorite. It's unbelievably thick, creamy, and packed with rich tropical flavor. One sip and you'll understand why it's legendary. Beyond the milkshakes, they carry incredible local honey, homemade sauces, unique jams, fresh shallots, beautiful vegetables, and perfectly ripe fruits. The exotic fruit selection alone is worth the trip. you'll discover varieties you didn't even know existed. What makes it even more special is that Robert himself is often there, still working and interacting with customers. It adds such a personal touch. Everyone on staff is genuinely kind, welcoming, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. Don't skip the back area, there's a small petting zoo where you can buy feed and interact with the animals, which makes it a fun stop for families and kids. It's more than just a fruit stand . it's an experience. A must-visit South Florida classic.

Robberies Are Here is more like it…read more We stopped at Robert Is Here for what should have been a fun family experience. Instead, we left with a smashed rental car window, 1,500 dollars in stolen valuables, and a ruined vacation. Our car was broken into while parked directly in front of the property -- in plain sight. We weren't even there for 15 minutes. When we asked about security camera footage that might help identify who did this, we were told the cameras don't work. Let that sink in. A high-traffic tourist destination with non-functional security cameras and apparently zero deterrent for criminals who clearly know this area is an easy target. This isn't a random isolated incident -- this is a known problem and the owners have done nothing meaningful to protect their customers. Working cameras, security presence, adequate signage warning visitors of the risk -- none of it. Just a cute fruit stand with a dangerous parking lot and zero accountability. (To be fair, the employees seemed remorseful, and gave us some trash bags and tape to cover the window.) Save yourself. Buy your fruit somewhere else. No smoothie is worth what this visit cost us.

We all got multiple items and were satisfied with the food. However the service was a bit off since it was hard to communicate in English which led to some mistakes in the drink orders and the drinks also took a while to be finished. But there was plenty of seating outside and it looked overall clean!

Classic Miami flavor and still the best place for pork and lechón…read more Back when I lived in Miami, there were only two El Palacio de los Jugos locations. Now they've expanded and while this was my first time at the Flagami spot, it didn't matter one bit. The same delicious food, the same friendly, fast service, and that unmistakable Miami vibe were all still there. I came for what I've always loved: the fried pork chunks (nobody does them better) and the lechón, both full of local flavor and perfectly prepared. Though they offer pastries too, I opted to swing by a bakery separately but it's great to have that variety available in one place. I was in and out very quickly, which is always appreciated when you're just trying to grab something good. The staff behind the counter were just as nice and efficient as I remembered from years ago. If you're in town and craving authentic, hearty Miami eats from meats to juices to fresh fruits this is definitely the place. The only hard part? Choosing just one or two things from their incredible variety.
