In Europe this brand is famous and very popular: I am so happy to discover that there is one here! Very affordable price for a large choice of common grocery foods. Like in Europe, not a lot of brands but their own brands are really good actually and it's worth to try! From the cookies to the pasta everything so far is very good. We also bought various fruits and vegetables very fresh, good quality at affordable price which is rare in America! I will shop again and wish they open an other supermarket closer to down town Fort Lauderdale....! Staff is polite, smiling, fast and efficient! This is the 2nd and last time I shop at Aldi. The first time they overcharged me on 4 boxes of muesli by double the price. Only noticed it when I checked my bill at home. They don't even have a store phone number. They don't supply bags for your purchases. they are sold out of many items advertised which smacks of just getting you into the store and as usual people impulse buy. Today I purchased several items including a large bar of German chocolate. When I got home there was no chocolate bar to be found. Terrible track record and a really bad place to shop. read more

It was a bit of an adjustment shopping at Aldi's: making sure I have a quarter for the shopping cart, bags to carry my groceries and waiting on lines because they never have more than two cash registers open. The prices are fantastic at Aldi's but I only buy their organic brand "Simply Nature." Yet I find myself buying frying pans, bins, water bottles, socks, scales, etc. Things that frankly aren't on my grocery list that add up to more than what I anticipated to spend at the cash register. This store looks like it's going out of business If you judge it solely on the stock on the shelv. The store, which I visited yesterday, 9 January 2018 around 6:30 PM was in complete disarray. A good percentage of the products I buy there we're not in stock, there was hardly any bread available, some shelves were bare of product, empty boxes on shelves were normal throughout the store. I buy here often so it was very surprising to see the store in the poor condition it was in. I don't know what has happened at the store maybe it has had a change in management, and or a lack of stock people, but it was never this "bare." I will give the store one more chance, before I move on to another location of Aldi. UPDATE: Well I was there recently and can tell you that things have changed drastically at the store. There is no plenty of stock and they did revamp the place where the aisles are wider now and it's more pleasant to shop. The steaks they sell are absolutely amazing. They now have a better produce area and overall I could say that I was pleasantly surprised at the change. read more

I usually shop here for produce because their prices cannot be beat but to keep prices low you'll need a quarter for a cart and your own bags. I have never really shopped for much of anything else at Aldi so I can't speak on that portion of their products. The lines are usually long, and the cashiers are usually unfriendly and rush people along. In particular, last time I shopped here my cashier kept repeatedly telling to me to insert or swipe my card while she was still ringing up my items and even before my transaction was finished. read more

You'll find a lot of staple type goods but almost no brand names you recognize. I actually don't understand how they avoid intellectual property claims. They shamelessly copy the packaging design on common items like Cheerios, Hellman's mayonnaise etc. Wine is inexpensive but very drinkable and better than 'three buck Chuck' that Trader Joe's is famous for. Selection of beers are also odd names and I haven't found a ripoff of plain old Budweiser, but there's a great duplicate of Corona in a bottle that looks like the original, others you just have to experiment with to see what you like. Coffee is also inexpensive compared to Publix or anyplace else. One of the few real brand names they have is Cafe Bustello. They have a variety of corn chips including one shaped like a little bowl that's great for dipping in their exceptional salsa. They also have a lots of their stuff that's organic. Common variety of cooking oils but again with their own brand names but stuff like grape seed oil and sesame oil aren't there. Staples like pasta, pasta sauce, dairy products like cheese and milk are the same anyplace. If you like ice cream check out their premium chocolate and vanilla, both are terrific, and they have generic version of some Ben and Jerry's. All eggs, butter, milk, nuts, chicken, fish, produce are the same no matter what the brand name is as far as I'm concerned and all of those are real bargains. They do some very odd things to save money, plain concrete floor, no shelves, mostly just containers on pallets, exec . The smartest is making you put a quarter in a little thing on the shopping cart that you get back when you put the cart where it belongs. Keeps them from paying somebody to do nothing but run around the lot collecting carts. Personnel are uniformly friendly and helpful, constantly busy and apparently paid better than people at other retail stores. Can you tell that I really like shopping there? . read more

No no no no no! Why are people praising this place? This is like the super market quality version of a dollar store, but not quite that cheap. This place is a gimmick. First thing you are forced to do when you walk in is walk down an isle of candies, sodas, chips, and any other garbage food you could think of, all of low quality. Then rest are "deals" that are barely low enough to justify shopping here. You still have to go to Publix etc to get the rest of your stuff that is not sold here or that is of questionable origins and quality. read more

I shopped at ALDI yesterday. The 59 ounce carafe of squeezed (not from concentrate) orange juice was labelled on sale for $1.99. It rang up for $2.09. I saw the same price mistake a few weeks ago but I didn't say anything. It's only ten cents. But this time I brought the discrepancy to the attention of the cashier. She called the manager who came up right away. He looked at the shelf. Then he walked back, gave me the ten cents, and apologized! So nice. Where else around can you find not from concentrate orange juice for $1.99? Most other stores sell it for $3 on sale, and $3.69 at the normal price. This is great. It made my day. read more

I love shopping at Aldi. I save hundreds and hundreds of dollars a year and rarely step into publix anymore. The only problem, when chips only cost a dollar, I tend to buy them. I remember Aldi when I lived in Germany. So glad they are here! They carry primarily their own brands but they are ALL very good. From peanut butter to sweets and meats. Produce section is very fresh with ridiculously low prices. And yes, you will find many of your favorite brands. PS. The employees are quiet but always helpful and pleasant. read more

You cannot beat the prices if you are a savvy shopper and know the local store prices. I try and go there at least once a week and I am impressed from their paper goods to the groceries! Definitely a great place for veggies, , cheese, fruit etc. The prices are amazing and I would give 10 stars if I could. Not very impressed by Aldi. I have tried to give this chain a chance but I simply can't anymore. The first thing that turns me off is most of the goods are pre-packaged, canned, or preserved. Second, they severely lack good looking produce and organic produce. This may not be true for all the locations but it is for this one. Honestly, what is the deal with the quarter? I don't even bother taking my quarter back because people are harassing me for a cart and blocking the return line. The food quality in general is not good. Sardines in soybean oil..horrible quality. Canned Tuna....horrible quality. Organic greens were okay but the organic arugula was flavorless. The produce looks bombed and depleted. Finally, the black girl at the counter was busy having a conversation with someone else, surprise, and when I asked if I can swipe yet (she was still ringing things up) she answered in a snobby rude way like I should know. The prices started out really low and have gradually increased to be on par with many other discount stores. That being said, there are a couple of good deals, but not worth the trouble anymore given the ABSOLUTELY AWFUL EMPLOYEES. They look at you like they are disgusted with your presence and throw the groceries in the cart like they are pissed off. Don't even try to engage them as they will bite. seriously, the prices are not that great anymore and the shelves appear to be low on stock - some items completely out of stock. Some prices have over doubled since the store opened. It seams that as soon as a product sells they raise the price and if it continues to sell they raise the price again. That's not he kind of pricing policy I wish to patronize. You really can't count on getting the best price on everything you buy there. read more
