I'm always excited to go to Publix when I'm in town . Mainly for their subs! This trip around was different... Unfortunately I was served by a very grumpy and impatient lady... I'm not sure if she had a bad morning or not, but it's definitely not ok to take it on your customer. Not just me, but my sub... it just ruined the whole experience. I knew it was bad right from the beginning. As she was done with the customer in front of me, she turned to me and asked "you all set?" Not even a hi or good morning . I replied back " yes I would like to order two subs please." There was another younger gentleman also doing the subs so she went next to him. She looked at me and said "are you going to come over here and order?" I was in shock but you know what, I don't usually let people like this ruin my day. I simply asked for a Buffalo sub and jerk chicken. She then yelled back at me, "what kind of Buffalo sub? What?" I'm replied back Buffalo tender sub please. While making the sub, she asked me what I want on it. I told her what I wanted and I requested for blue cheese on top. She replied back "I don't know where it is. I won't be able to put it on. Buy those single packets." I was like what? Took about 20 minutes to make the sub. I was not happy with the service at all... the sub looked decent but once I bit into it, there was barely any Buffalo sauce on the tenders. I have shopped in this store a few times & I always had a positive experience. Now that I am in the area more often, I have stopped in several times within the last couple of weeks. This Publix is the whole package; cleanliness, service, selection-you name it and they most likely will exceed your expectations. I always have great experiences here and in case you don't know; I am incredibly fussy. Not here though, this store rocks. The deli department has the most helpful staff. They are great about suggesting alternative options if they are out of what your looking for. For example, I was looking for Boars Head Roast Beef. Unfortunately though what they had was not rare & I only like rare roast beef & I usually stick with Boars Head. The person helping me suggested the Publix brand because it happened to be rare. I was skeptical but I agreed to taste a slice. Let me tell you it was good! I love people who go above and beyond. I will be shopping in this store more often as it gets closer to my move back to the local area. I am confident this will be my Publix of choice. Everyone is just so friendly! I've been a Publix shopper for most of my life. The employees, for the most part, are friendly. Today I met Glenn in the dairy section. I was looking for a flavor of yogurt that I can never seem to find in any Publix and always have to get it at Walmart. I really don't enjoy going to Walmart. He asked me if I was looking for anything special and I explained my dilemma. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. With a big smile, told me that today was my lucky day because he was "Glenn the dairy guy" and would help me. He went to the back to see if he could order the yogurt for me. He came back several times to let me know how things were progressing. I was getting a little bored in the dairy aisle, and he tracked me down a few aisles over. He told me that Walmart had sole rights to that flavor yogurt and Publix couldn't sell it. Honestly, I never met a more upbeat and friendly Publix employee. He even asked me for my name and shook my hand. I told the manager, also named Glenn, about what an awesome employee he had in Glenn in the dairy department. Seriously, you need to give "Glenn the dairy guy" a promotion and a raise. He is an asset to your company and needs to be training employees. read more

I really enjoy coming to this publix. Publix is a little pricey, but they make up for it with great service. The staff here make you feel like you're part of a large community. This is the first store I've been too in Florida where people actually know you by name and make an effort to speak to you or help you. All of the staff go the extra mile to be nice and make you feel welcome in their store. The deli workers are extremely nice and always are offering samples! Another thing I really like about this particular Publix is the cleanliness. My weekly trip to this market is for a quick fill in of last minute items. I am here every week because my hair salon is near by. I find it difficult finding things here. The floral rarely has what I need compared to the markets near my home. I prefer purchasing the cut fruit by my home since there is more variety available. I inherited that from my mother lol (thanks mom) My son loves to get in his green wagon and go right to the cookies! If you have never been to Publix, they have an amazing bakery, I think the most tasty cupcakes that I've had. If I ever need cupcakes or a small pastry for a party or bday, Publix is my spot. I've been coming to this Publix for over 5 years and the staff is super friendly and nice! I always get my cold cuts super fast and always get a sample ;) (you know some deli's I've been to don't even ask you if you want to try the near you are getting!) Their meat department is always helpful when trying to choose a nice steak Or they can cut any meat anyway you want it. I'm a regular so I know most of the cashiers and department employees they always greet me and ask me about my daughter . Overall it's always a pleasure . It appears this location has taken a turn for the worse from the good 2015-16 reviews. I suppose, like anything, it depends on what you're buying at the store. For me, it's all fresh... produce, dairy & meats / poultry / fish. I don't eat processed food, frozen or from cans, so perhaps your experience would vastly differ if you do. (Note: I don't know why the store is listed under Deli... it's a supermarket & does have a deli.) I've visited twice over the period of 3-wks & yesterday will be my last. The good? Location & parking, small but okay IPA (beer) selection. The bad? Very expensive, poor quality produce, expired dairy in the case, indifferent staff. Both times I left without any produce at all as the selection was poor (lots of empty tables & cases), rotting or soft veggies/fruits are the norm & the prices are as high as Whole Foods without the WF experience or quality. Yesterday, I had to pull a dozen expired organic yogurts from the case in order to find one that had a sell-by date only 3-days away. I told the stocker, who was working next to me & he told me to just leave them out & take another brand. When I told him I only wanted organic & this was the only brand they had, he just ignored me. Gee, thanks for offering to check the stockroom for fresh product. I've seen the butchers ignore customers at the window & they've had to bang on it repeatedly to get someone to respond & then they take a few minutes to walk over to the window. Store employees repeatedly walk in front of customers, making the customers move out of their way... difficult to see as there are many elderly who shop here. It's rude & dismissive. The women at the deli case take forever to serve customers & get them their sandwich meat... I left my mom there when she visited, ran around the store for 20-min, returned & she hadn't even been served. When she ordered, she waited 15-min for 1/2-lb of ham. Customer service has flown the coop at this Publix. Meat (any animal protein) is a very scant selection, VERY expensive, but good quality. Still, I don't want a $14 piece of London broil. Fish prices are outrageous. Go to Whole Foods if you want to pay those prices & get superb quality. All in all, both times, I've left with only a 6-pack & some eggs & had to go to another local market. I say skip it. 1* out of 5. If you need a can of soup, a box of cookies, some chips or a 6-pack of Pepsi, stop in if you don't mind paying more... otherwise go anywhere else for better quality & lower prices. read more

People that work here there are certain ones I have to avoid, there absolutely rude. One cashier, its an older women and I remember one day this older guy was in front of me and was totally flirting with him and all happy, then it was my turn to check out.. Didn't say a word. There is also a guy at the deli, another older guy and hes so rude.. doesn't even try to talk to you. This publix is very unorganized too, there's food everywhere in different spots, it doesn't make sense. Customer service in a super market is key. And although publix has an all around good model, this publix has proved to be consistently the best I've come across. Every employee smiles or asks if I need assistance when walking the isles and the place is kept clean and organized. What prompted me to write this review is my recent experience with an employee and a manager. I wish I would have caught their names, but have failed to see them since then. I just moved to the area and I was looking for a product that I used to get at my other grocery store. An employee asked if she could assist and when she couldn't, she quickly got her manager who looked it up with their vendors and saw that they were able to get it. They ordered it for me and have had it in stock ever since! I love feeling like I'm more than just a number in any organization. Thank you! read more

This is my favorite Publix, probably because I have been shopping here for almost 20 years. I think the staff is friendlier at this location than the one closer to me, since I moved. The customers are also nicer. No one is pushing, shoving, etc. I still shop here even though it is about 10 minutes further than the closest Publix. read more

A suggestion is to make sure you always have at least 1 person working at the deli service hot food area especially at busy times. It takes about 3-5 minutes to wait for someone to come help the customer to request for food. Every time I come in there are many people waiting and there are 2 workers in the sub area and no one for the hot food. Limit the tasking during busy hours and just be sure that customers are being helped. read more

I have been on the road for a couple of weeks and decided to have dinner in my hotel room. So I went to the deli here which had a combo for $5.99. So I ask the lady at the deli for it, and she says it's $7.19. I show her the sign which is RIGHT NEXT TO HER HEAD!! She looks at it and says Ok and makes the sandwich. I go to pay and don't you know she marked it at $7.19!! So the checkout girl takes a walk back to the deli were some guy working there says "that is the right price". So I get to walk back to the deli and show him the sign. This moron stills argues with me! Saying I don't know what I'm talking about, I hold up the sign tell him to read it and try to understand it's meaning. Silence. I said great maybe next time you should keep your mouth shut when you don't know what you're talking about. That felt great. I spoke to the manager but I'm sure she'll only wag her finger at him. I just left this Publix. Props to every department except the cashier/front end staff. As I approached the cashier area, there were 2 open registers with people being 3 deep. Unfortunately I picked the wrong one! The cashier named Jesse really isn't qualified to do this job. As she spoke to the girl in front of me, she stopped scanning. Then after another couple of issues. It was finally my turn. I already told her that I didn't want the ice cream since it had melted. As she questioned if If I really didn't want the ice cream, I told her to keep everything. As I looked around I was the only person left on line. for the 10+ minutes I stood there everybody body else was done and the other register was closed. Without a Manager insight to oversee this part of the business, it appears that there's a lack of caring. PEOPLE AT PUBLIX, WE'RE DEALING WITH FOOD. CERTAIN ITEMS ARE NOT MEANT TO SIT AT ROOM TEMPERATURE FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME! WHO WAS THE QUALIFIED PERSON THAT SHOULD BE MANAGING THIS PART OF THE BUSINESS? WHERE WAS THIS PERSON TO MAINTAIN HIGH CUSTOMER SERVICE STANDARDS? I don't blame the cashier for being sub standard, I blame the management staff for not enforcing high standards. Granted, I did waste approximately 45 minutes of my time walking out without the groceries, but why reward them with my business for being sub par?
