Aldi is the closest store to a Trader Joe's up here in the High Desert. Since it is unlikely Trader Joe's will be setting up shop here during my lifetime, Aldi is the alternative in between trips down the hill. Price wise, they are competitive with other stores in the area. Quality is hit or miss on their own branded products but it is fun to try new things out. Aldi is probably the most keto, Paleo, gluten free, low carb friendly store I have ever seen. There is something for everyone here regardless of dietary requirements. They recently had the best pricing for asparagus from Mexico and Peru at $1.83 for a bunch. What a treat to have fresh roasted asparagus spears during the wintertime! It is a most pleasant change from the usual green beans found on the holiday feast table. Christmas gingerbread cookies imported from Germany are another favorite of mine. I am particularly fond of the Lebkuchen, iced cookies baked on a thin wafer with the crispy, spongy texture. These have a nice spice flavor. Not the usual cookie people are familiar with here so more for me! I like to also get the no-sugar meat snacks that are available at Aldi. The meat sticks have a good flavor and are practically guilt free in regard to sugar content. Berries are priced well here for the wintertime. It is the usual strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries. The blackberries are particularly plump and fresh as well as sweet. Very appealing and appetizing. All in all, a good place to spend some time to explore the products. You won't know what will be there until you look. There is even an aisle of miscellaneous merchandise that is priced to clear. Quality is unknown so choose wisely. Bring a quarter for the shopping cart. The cashiers are very fast during the check out process. Plenty of parking in the shopping center. read more

Very nice store. Everything is neat and organized. Every aisle is wide and spacious. You can find great deals here. First time I have ever walked into an Aldi before. It's pleasant and quiet. No music playing. Just the kinds of people grabbing their groceries and the beep beep of the cashiers machine scanning. Restrooms are clean. Floors are clean. Just a delightful store all around. Be sure to bring a quarter: for the cart. Also bring your own bags. Other than that have a happy time shopping! read more

I'll stick with Trader Joes, who has excellent customer service, bags your groceries, and thanks you afterwards. Wow. First time visiting this store today, and it was absolutely the worst customer service I've seen in a grocery store. Even though the cashier picks up every item to scan it, and could then very easily place it in your bag, they do not. They will not place your items in your bag, even though they have them already picked up in their hands, to scan them. Instead, they toss the items into a deep shopping cart. I didn't have a grocery cart. I had a handful of items and my own bag, yet my items were tossed in the bottom of a shopping cart and left like that for me to pick up and bag myself. Extremely RUDE and inconsiderate way of doing business. What customer wants to be treated like this? I find it disrespectful. Besides their lack of customer service, they are setting customers up to get into an altercation with one another over where the line starts. Since I had never been here before, I got in a line and was quickly told by a customer that there is one line for all the registers, and pointed to me where it started. I had to get behind people who had full cart loads of groceries and wait, as they do not have an express lane, or any self check-out for people with a couple items.There is absolutely no signage showing customers where the line starts. They leave customers to fend for themselves. While waiting in line, the lady behind me was explaining that she had to pay 25 cents to use the shopping cart. She said you can technically get your quarter back somehow, but that she never bothers to. While shopping, I also found that some items in the bread section did not have any price tag on them. Finally, the cashier was not friendly at all, and did not want to be bothered with me as a customer. There is no small talk, such as, "How are you doing today?" because they don't give a sh*t how you are doing today. I can't really comment too much on the neighborhood the store is in, but I do know that our Hesperia Police Dept almost lost an officer here, when he was shot in the parking lot a couple years ago. I can tell you that after this experience, I am looking forward to my next trip to Trader Joes. It's not that far, only takes me 30 minutes to get there, and they treat customers like gold. They have filet mignon and the best Salmon I've gotten from a store. It's probably a blessing that Aldi treats customers like trash by their actions, because now I don't have to worry about spending a bunch of money here. read more

I love a bargain! Aldi offers food at a bargain and still maintains good quality. Many of their products might be brands you've never heard of but it's just like the more popular brands and tastes great. We enjoy getting produce, pretzel chips and a variety of shelf stable foods. The parking lot is spacious and shared with a few nearby businesses. I love how it's a no nonsense place and just straight to the point. They offer reusable bags for less than twenty cents and longer lasting reusable tote bags for around $1. All things considered with the size of the store, they have a large variety of products. It's crazy but the store stays clean and we'll maintained even with their huge variety. The staff is friendly. Definitely has that small store, mom and pop vibe. It's a not-so-hidden jewel. read more

Customer service was amazing, however they have some safety issues that need attention. The metal bumper guards protrude out when it should be flushed flat with no gaps this hazard stops basket abruptly causing injury this has been brought to the assistant manager, store manger & the District manager attention in July 2024 these photos were taken October 2, 2024 still have not resolved. I love Aldi they have wonderful attentive customer service reps however must do better with customer safety take care of your shoppers AldI should be a safe experience for your customers. read more

When Aldi opened in Hesperia, I went one time about 2 months after the opening and the store was a dump. Held off going to AV location, prompted by my daughter and LOVE IT. It is bright, clean, prices are amazing and I now go about once a week for produce that cannot be beat for price & freshness! I love the cart quarter idea, so the parking lot is not litered with carts! Love that the checkout is so fast cause they throw everything in the cart and I bag it or not myself. read more

I love Aldi. It's small store, with all the major things you might need. It's convenient to my home. Love that people put their carts back at the entrance. Food, meats are good reasonably priced. I visited Aldi's this Saturday around 4 pm and had a disappointing experience with the cashier named Roger. He displayed rude behavior and made unnecessary comments throughout the transaction he made unwarranted remarks about how l placed items on the belt. When I addressed his rudeness, he responded in a disrespectful manner I stayed silent to de-escalate, and to forget about it cause it's not a big deal. Once he was done scanning our items he looked at me and said, what did you say again? I stayed silent and he said yeah that's what I thought. Roger's lack of professionalism and inability to control his emotions led to a negative shopping experience. I hope Aldi's addresses this issue to ensure better customer service in the future. read more

I enjoy going to Aldi. They have great prices and there's always something fun in the Aldi finds section. I went to Aldi for some Christmas shopping. I wanted to get a lot of baking supplies because they are so reasonably priced, but then I happened upon the seasonal aisle and went home with some really great finds. I found a Christmas blanket with red trucks carrying Christmas trees in the back of them. It was only $5.99. I found this great Christmas countdown sign where you remove the Christmas trees to count down the days. I couldn't believe it was only $9.99. And it lights up! I found a lot of great items to put on my Christmas charcuterie board. They always have a great selection of cheeses, and meats. I love getting my brie cheese there, it is delicious and affordable. I always come home with chocolate from Aldi. Two of our favorites are the chocolate powder coated truffles and the almonds with coconut dipped in chocolate. Delicious. It seems like every time I go to Aldi I come home with more than I planned, because I find some great things at the store. Aldi is one of my favorite stores to shop at. The best thing for me has been the online ordering and pick up. I go online and place my order. I choose a time to pick up my items, and when I get there someone delivers them to my car. I've never had to wait more than five minutes for my delivery. At the Aldi on Main Street in Chula Vista I've had Jonathan deliver to me several times. He's a great guy. I just wish Aldi allowed tipping. He deserves it. I have shopped several different Aldi stores throughout california and in other states while on road trips. The two Aldi stores in Chula Vista and the Yucaipa California store are the ones I frequent the most. read more

ALDI - Long lines as usual - Grocery Near Me - Hesperia, California

Bottom line first: looks new, quarter for cart feels ghetto, limited selections, cashier definitely ghetto. Won't return I was very excited to visit this newly build supermarket. It looks really nice on the outside and is very close to me. I sensed something was amiss when the carts needed a quarter to be unlocked. Haven't seen those in ages. I understand the rationale, but in this age of coinless economy, it feels wrong. Inside was clean, and it's definitely the smallest supermarket in which I've ever been. As expected with the size, there are also limited selections, although I was able to find everything on my small list. The kicker came at the checkout. First, the line was disorganized, as there was temporarily a split in the cart line, and there was no staff to rectify the confusion. Then, as we were checking out and tried to bag as usual, the cashier forcefully says, "YOU CAN'T BAG HERE, IT'S TOO CLOSE. SOCIAL DISTANCING!!" Never mind that the setup is ridiculous, but as many have said before: sometimes it's not about what you say, but HOW you say it. It's sad that a cashier, in a service position, does not know customer service. We didn't bother to call the manager to escalate it. All I can do, as a customer, is to vote with my money, NOT come back, and let as many people know as possible about this toxic encounter. Good luck to this place. read more

This shopping center just opened over the Mojave Riverbed on the south side of Bear Valley. Aldi is one of the anchor tenants in this center and I am glad to have one close by. Aldi is a small store, but they have great selection and you can pretty much get everything you need here. One of my family's favorites are the baked goods they sell. Most do not know, but Aldi sells "girl scout" like cookie variations in limited flavors. The coconut variety ones are really good. Employees were helpful in my multiple visits to the store. I am not sure if it is just for COVID pandemic, but the cashier's put your groceries in the cart and you move your cart across the registers and bag your own groceries in the bag you bring. Keep in mind you must have a quarter to use a shopping cart. Return the cart at the end and get your quarter back. These have been around forever and keep the parking lot clean. You want your quarter back, then return the cart! I personally think more stores should do this to keep their carts from disappearing. Just a side note, this shopping center also as an Autozone and plans for a Wendy's and a car wash. The shopping center is located on Bear Valley and the cross street is Fish Hatchery Road. Basically across the street from the lower end of the college where the tennis courts are. read more

What can I say? It's Aldi's! I love this place. With a family of 7 we need this place! You can find cereals which are just as good as the big brands and most of them are more natural! You can buy eggs for as low as .69¢ (79¢ today), $1.89 watermelons and .39¢ a pound bananas. If you are in the area drop buy and take a look. You're wallet will thank you! read more

So happy to have this store closer. It has a great variety of cheese from the east side. I have tried several brands, and they all have been perfect. They have some random merchandise that you don expect to find in a grocery store. But, Aldi is not your typical grocery store, so don't be surprised to find something new every week. I've posted on this business before. I was and am still disappointed by the fact they use bioengineered ingredients in many of their brand named foods. So now, when shopping there, I check every label. But when shopping with Instacart, you have to rely on the information they provide. Not every item that you look at has an ingredient list. But of course when available I check it out. Well, unfortunately this establishment would rather omit information, then to lose a sale. I will usually have my shopper check the ingredients if I'm not sure. But since I had read the ingredients on the website, I didn't ask her to look. So this morning I was looking forward to a yummy English muffin with my eggs. I checked the label real quick, and there it was. "Contains bioengineered ingredients". I'm not sure about this place anymore. They seem to be a shady bunch. I'm glad they opened a sprouts market l(actually will be 2 soon). I can't wait to try them. read more

Then when I notified an employee she acted as if she didn't hear me use the word "EXCUSE ME" she continued to look the other way I had to say it 3 times while being less than arms length apart... fecal matter all over the toilets pee everywhere tissue wet at that everywhere it smelled as if no one attended it to the restrooms for quite some time cause the fecal matter was dried up!!!!!!!!!! read more

The employees here are so rude, no one has customer service skills here not even the manager, she just walked right by myself and little brother didn't say excuse me while attempting to get some boxes behind us she just assumed we knew what she was doing. When we went up to pay our cashier was Jacinda, this girl looked as if her face would be horribly damaged if she cracked the slightest smile did not say "Hi, how are you today?" Nothing. Assistant manager, Claudia told my son he couldn't return an item although he had his receipt. I don't know who she think she is. She tried it though, she wouldn't have tried if I were there. Aldi you will end with a lawsuit with these type employees. She is a liability. She needs to be reprimanded/terminated expeditiously. When he asked for a supervisor, she said she was the supervisor. My son happened to pass a man on the way out of the store with a manager badge and he helped him. It didn't appear that the manager was going to do anything about the incident. I used to come here all the time but now I try to avoid it. You have to come in late at night because they only ever have one cashier even when the line is to the back of the store. They've raised prices on a lot of food lately and they have a poor selection on fruits and vegetables. I'm tired of eating the same thing all the time and you need a self checkout if you aren't going to staff you location. Taking my business to Winco until you figure thjngs out. Stop charging for the carts it's stupid and it's a waste of my time to fumble around for a stupid quarter. I want two apples, bananas that aren't green, and two oranges. But you do t have any of that. They do t have loose fruit everything his in bulk and they have the same stuff all the time and never change on the fruit. And it's too early for peaches by the way so why would I want an entire bag of Rock hard peaches and wait for a half hour while my arms are getting tired because I do t have a cart? I live in the seniors Jess Ranch community and was so excited when the new Aldi store opened less than a mile away. There are THREE seniors communities here and with a pandemic ravaging the country, you would think I could use InstaCart to order from the Aldi right by my house, but NO. I made an order last week and it took my shopper forever to deliver which I couldn't understand since the store is practically right outside my door. My shopper told me the new store is not set up for InstaCart and she had to drive down by the freeway to get my groceries. I loved every single thing in my order but thank goodness I hadn't ordered ice cream because it would've been melted. The only reason I'm rating the store low at this time is because they don't have their act together. I sent a letter to the store because you can't call it directly...another negative. You have to call a toll free number and get the corporate office where you go through the PRESS 1 for this PRESS 2 for that. The personal touch is definitely missing. UPDATE: The letter I sent came back as "undeliverable." Jeez Louise...this company is NOT into customer service. Everything has to go through corporate headquarters. You can't contact the store directly or even send them mail! read more

i can't stress enough how much i appreciate good atmosphere and even better customer service. whoever is managing this place is doing a wonderful job. i have been to this location morning, mid day and even 10 minutes before closing. every time i come it has been such a great experience. i was so impressed this evening how well my husband and i were treated. it doesn't take much to ask how we are doing upon approaching a check out stand and it was done. all the employees are hard working, food is consistently fresh. i will be sad when i move soon from hesperia because i will miss this aldi!thank you to everyone at this location ! read more
