I love to shop at Aldi when I am looking for German foods. This grocery chain is German owned and no frills. They have many German products that are better in my opinion than American products. Examples are sauerkraut, mustard, chocolates, different pickles and they have great red wine vinegar from Italy. Their cheese selection is better than other grocery stores and the imported deli meats are delicious. You can make a charcuterie board from foods here for 25% the price you would pay at the big name grocery stores. Close to Christmas many specialty German chocolates are brought in. I love sThey have Advent calendars too! The produce is mostly fresh. Once I bought frozen cucumbers last year but only once. They have meats that are antibiotic free and very reasonable prices too. If you like bargains, this is your store. They do not sell name brand items preferring to use their own company owned products. I haven't found anything I didn't like. I've been going to Aldi more and more just because groceries are so expensive now and they have a lot of amazing things for so cheap! I love their seasonal aisle during Oct-Dec. some really fun things there. I love their specialty whipped creams. read more

Aldi has some great deals on certain items like their by read, cheese and chocolate. Not only are they good deals, but the quality is definitely there. Other items are okay priced, but nothing spectacular. Customer service is not always a high priority and it would be nice if they even had a land line that you can call to see if they ha e a particular item. Yhr place has a decent ambiance and again, they do possess some good deals. read more

If you don't like Aldi I don't like you. Ignore the naysayers (though I think most of them have been drowned out in recent years), get thee to Aldi. Groceries are significantly cheaper than anywhere else. The quality is excellent. You may not always get everything on your list (say, five pounds of red lentils or some obscure pepper) but you will likely find something you can't live without somewhere in the store--from a scented candle to a ridiculously flavored potato chip. Vegan? Gluten free? Organic only? Aldi's got your back. This store is nice and clean, if a bit understocked at times. Bring a quarter for a cart (you get it back), reusable bags, and stock up. read more

This store recently hired a girl with a horrible attitude for checkout. She threw my groceries in the buggy so hard that they bounced off the bottom. Because everything gets bruised this way it doesn't last very long at all. Tonight when I went there she was there again so I asked her to not throw my items in the buggy. She said she'd get someone else to check me out and went to find the manager. God only knows what she said to him because he came over and asked us to leave. That's fine. I won't be back. And with that kind of customer service they will lose even more customers than they already have. read more

Good prices. Just wish they had more variety. I like that all the produce is organic and a good price point.

I recently started shopping at Aldi weekly for my groceries at the one on the Parkway next to Drake Avenue. I purchased two of the solar rocks about a month ago and they were not bright, so I decided to return them on June 9th. I arrived to the store and immediately went to return the rocks to take care of business before grocery shopping. The next Monday I noticed that the return was showing, the purchase I made for $143 worth of groceries and middle aisle items was showing, and a third mystery charge for $72.50 was also showing. I have since been getting the run around with corporate about getting this resolved and this employee reprimanded. It is very surprising that such a large company can have such a blaring internal control issue and be totally unaware of it. The customer service reps have continuously made me feel like the don't believe me and think I have Alzheimers or something. I am 34 with a masters degree in Accounting. I know what I purchased that day. I cannot wait for them to roll the tapes back and call me back with their tails tucked between their legs. Danesha needs to be fired. I am not totally sure what happened, but I think she knew the person behind me or something and kept my return open to pay for her $72.50 worth of groceries. I am not sure if this is what happened exactly, but I do not think Danesha still has any access to my card, but was able to push through a fraudulent transaction. I am sure she will claim user error, but she needs to have the manager stand beside her for the full refund ever time in the future. The manager comes up and does what they need to for a refund and then just leave. What is the point in that if al they do is come up, do their manager approval thing, and then immediately turn around and leave? The manager on duty that day who Danesha called over to do his part was a young guy name Noah. See? No Alzheimers here going on here :) I remember the details and will no longer be shopping here until I receive my refund and the internal controls are tightened up. Never thought I would enjoy shopping a budget grocery store but that was before the aldis experience. Although I still haven't tried the meats and am not impressed with some of the fruits and vegetables, I love there commitment to quality store brands which I believe to be better than the national better known brand in some cases. Usually no high fructose corn syrup in their store brand products which I appreciate. All products have a double guarantee, where they will replace the product and refund your money if you're not satisfied. I especially love the aldis finds, everything from a fold out desk (better and less expensive than the ikea one I had), a sweet $4 flashlight that I wonder how I got by without it in my car, to a pet kennel that was a fraction of the price of the pet store one.
