There was only one checkout line available and I was second in line with only a few items and the person in front had a large basket full. There was a younger man behind me, also with a few items. I asked if there were no express lines open and the cashier said no when all of the sudden a female employee from the front of the store motioned for the young man behind me to come to the front so she could check him out. I was frustrated because it looked like there was some favoritism going on based on ethnicity since they were both the same and I am white. I just left my basket of items and walked out, never to return. I'm not saying all of Publix has a preference in who gets good customer service, but it sure did look like they got at least one employee who does. I don't need this kind of stuff in my life and I'm happy to give my business to others since there are plenty of options other than Publix available. Publix lost a longtime customer today.

Southern cooking is appreciated and I can find my staples such White Lily self rising for biscuits as well as sage sausage to make the gravy that goes on the biscuits. And as far as the pharmacy- even if there weren't enough good reason to shop there the pharmacy would be my reason. You know that small percentage of patients that report side effects? That's me the statistics are talking about. The pharmacist saved my life when I called about a newly prescribed drug and how it was making me feel. It turned out to be a dangerous reaction. So when you can trust a store that meets all of your needs why go anywhere else?

Entering the store on the right side at the front were several varieties of rices. I looked to the left and the cold section was the distance of the length of the store and stocked with several varieties of noodles, tofu's, vegetables, fresh fish, fresh shrimp and much more. There was NO SMELL from the seafood. I walked around the store admiring all the clean floors and shelves which is expected from a new business. The young man at the cash register was friendly and helpful. He didn't hover and I appreciated that. I purchased several items and was pleased with my grocery haul. I previously have gone to this location to get Indian groceries. It's become convenient to go here and not have to drive to Huntsville. Desi Brothers has a very good selection of rare vegetables on a Tuesday. That's a pleasant surprise: many Indian places I've seen around the country have low stock at times. Many such places have very narrow aisles you have to squeeze through. :-) This place has always had comfortably wide aisles. The previous ownership had a Facebook link. That's fine, but it's a walled garden. These owners are on the open internet, available to all. It's all shown on their grocery bags fully printing their logo and info. The bags are higher quality than Target, it's like they're investing in their customers so they can reuse the bags and always have the info needed to call back or go to their web site. Check my six included pictures for more descriptions. Recommend you give this place a try. They're starting out the right way for customers. THat's what I respect about small businesses that do the little things better. Definitely I suggest you reuse the grocery bags. They're useful and higher quality plastic!

Here in America you can get those foods at any Korean restaurant year round. Overseas the average Korean family doesn't eat either one once a week. I have a great friend coming to visit and I purchased the foods necessary to prepare japchae and bulgogi at Christmas along with the ingredients to make birthday soup. My friend will be cooking. Yum! While I was at Holiday International Market, I saw radish kimchi and picked some up. It's not fermented yet and will be by Christmas hopefully. I looked at the whole bitter melon and wanted to buy it but it was not fresh. There was sliced bitter melon where when buying one cannot see the sides of the bitter melon and I didn't buy it. I don't like slimy. This store sells a variety of Asian foods, mostly Vietnamese. There are lots of selections of jarred and canned sauces. You should stop by to peruse the groceries they have.
