The store is quite small, but they weren't kidding...the produce is fresh!! Because it's so small, it can get a little crowded in the aisle, but it all worked out. I went primarily for the corn, and there were only seven ears left. I took six of them and felt kind of bad, but when I was checking out, I heard that more was on the way on the delivery truck. I guess there had been some sort of delay that morning in Atlanta. We also bought some peaches and cherries. Everything tastes so great! The peaches are amazing! I didn't but any this trip, but the tomatoes and peppers looked outstanding! I will be back...going to try coming on a weekday so maybe it's not so cramped inside. Oh.. and the gentleman working the register was very kind and sociable!!

I was excited to see they had Georgia Wild shrimp in 1lb, 2lbs, ad 5lbs bags. I got a 2lb bag. When I got home, the bag looked light, so I weighed it on my food scale and postal scale, and both showed 1.15 lbs. Thinking that I was given a 1lb bag by mistake, I went back to the store to let them know. The lady told me that my scale was faulty and needed to be recalibrated. I informed her I weighed it on TWO different scales. Then showed her a photo of the shrimp on my scale at 1.15lbs . She then put them back on her scale at the register and showed me 1.96 lbs (which still isn't 2). The gentleman said to give me a few more to get it to 2 lbs. She looked me in the eye and said, "Honey, a lb of shrimp is 21 shrimp. I guarantee it's 40, and you have 2 lbs. Recalibrate your scales." Some guy in the background yelled out, "Use tare." They never tried to test or "recalibrate" their scale. Unfortunately life has taught me that arguing with scammers is moot and I already wasted too much time with these people so I just left feeling salty and cheated. However, on the way home I figured I must have been overcharged on the other produce since that's the scale they used for everything. When I got home, I weighed all the produce and saw that NOTHING was equal to weight it said on my receipt. As for my scales and weighing know-how, I run an online business and use the postage scale daily. My numbers always match the numbers at UPS and USPS so I know my scales are right. I also recalibrated them and got the same thing. However I am a science based professional so to test I weighed a 1lb bag lentils from my pantry and jar honey I bought from them both items were correct. I've attached photos of all of this. This experience was so disappointing and I will never return.

I have never had a problem with anything purchased here, and frankly, I would rather pay a local farmer for produce and eggs whenever I can. I much prefer this rather than the trucked-in stuff at large chain markets. Large chain markets have their place, but small community stores like this build community spirit and help our local farmers.

Particularly, thinking back on a rock collector who sold all the stuff you'd need and then some to polish rocks or study rocks while even selling massive geodes. This stuff just isn't there anymore. It's replaced with walls of factory reject appliances and a lot of really odd junk. Though, honestly, you might find something awesome in all this. It's really a huge yard sale. The produce isn't all that bad, though it is of very questionable origin, but if you're buying produce here you probably don't mind too much...? Appliances can range from $10 for a vacuum to $25 for a kitchen aid stand mixer. There still are old cartridge games at some of the booths. There was also a very nice Tupperware stand too. I didn't really try any of the food... I have eaten here in the past, but that was several years ago, and the places I had eaten at are no longer functioning. The solitary food court, which is extremely small, still is in commission, however. If you go in winter, the buildings are heated. In the summer, there really isn't AC. It's a nice place just to casually walk around, walk your pup, and search for treasure.
