Love this farm so much . It has so much to do for children and families. I have been twice for a field trip with my daughter . FYI if you are going on a field trip with your child the tickets are cheaper when you buy ahead on line . They have many different stations for kids to play as well as a petting farm , snacks , food and beverages. My favorite snack by far are the strawberry donuts. They also offer other variety of strawberry dessert and treats since it is a strawberry farm. You can also pick strawberries in a carton or a gallon ! There is no water fountain that I could see so bring your water bottles and of course they have water you can buy. The workers are so kind and helpful as well . All the Fall things! My family and I visited Washington Farm for the first time this past weekend, and we loved it! It's more than a pumpkin patch, it's an entire experience. The farm is thoroughly laid out to provide hours of entertainment ( mega slide, petting zoo, fair games, flower garden, zip line, corn maze, etc!) for you and your little ones ( or just you/ a date/friends)! We just returned from our first visit to Washington Farms today and it definitely will not be our last . . . we WILL be back. Clean, well organized, very nice employees, several acres of strawberry plants, just a great overall experience. We went only for the self-pick strawberries and it was their second day open for the new season. They were ready and welcomed us with open arms. Prices are reasonable and pickings were plenty. We tried the strawberry ice cream after we were done and it was delicious. Come alone for some serious strawberry picking or bring the family for loads of fun. Plenty of parking and covered tables and chairs out of the sun to enjoy your ice cream or other treat at the end. read more

This place is fanatic for the "Fall on the Farm". Note: during Covid, you have to purchase your tickets online. - this might be a thing going forward. Kids under age 3 free. $15.95 for 3+ and Adults. Parking: Huge lot that can hold maybe 500-1000 cars, on a gravel parking lot in front of the entrance. Free to park - which is a plus. Entrance: there are roped off areas for line to the ticket booth. They had our names for the time we booked and we got her wrist bands and walked right now. There were signs to stay social distancing and wear a mask if you felt you needed to. Most people working, wore masks, but many patrons did not. Everything, but the bathroom are outside activities. Grounds: this place is HUGE --- acres and acres of land with tons of stuff to do and plenty of designated spots for photo ops. Things to do: Corn Maze, sunflower and field flower picking, zip-lining, hayrides, tracker rides, bounce houses, cornhole, petting zoo, mini tracker bikes to ride, kids pirate ship, fair games, food stall, and pumpkin patch to buy pumpkins - ALL THE PRICE OF YOUR TICKET! Bathroom: Nice indoor and porta-potty bathrooms options, with tons of sinks inside and outside to wash your hands. There are even troughs outside the petting zoo for hand washing. This place is absolutely huge and we spent 4.5 hours here and still didn't get to everything. The only thing I would say to buy warm food like burgers or chicken tenders took almost 45 minutes, which was not good since there were only 10 people in line when we went. read more

Back in the days, we used to visit the Washington Strawberry Farm in Loganville and always had fun there, but never came out here. We recently had a reason to as our child was having a field trip here. [Tickets] Please note, if you come here. THEY only sell tickets ONLINE... and tickets are $21.95 per person (ages 2 and up) on the weekend and $16.49 per person (ages 2 and up). [Parking] They have plenty of parking here and have handicapped parking up front near the entrance for those who need that support. [Rules] No Inside food (they want you to buy theirs), No Pets, and of course... no smoking! [Things to do] They have really cool new slides that are wonderful for younger (4-8) year-olds, and then two large slides for older kids. Basically, they are large tubes that are used for construction, but they are a lot of fun. I felt like a big kid going down it a few times myself. Grain Train is a train thing driven around by one of their staff members. Basically a powerful golf cart with barn animals behind it. The kids love it. They have an oreo cookie race for baby pigs that the kids love. A hayride, and corn pit for kids to play in (lots of fun, especially if you have a kid who has sensory issues (SPD/ASD), they will love that area. There are bouncing/jumping pillows, a petting zoo (chickens/goats/pigs/donkey/sheep/rabbits/baby chicks). They also have paintball, corn cannon, zip lines, sunflower and zinnia fields,s and a corn maze, but we did not get to do those. I have no idea why, maybe it was closed due to the large number of field trips they had that day. This is a fun place to visit during the fall and they do have pumpkins for sale, though honestly at $1 a pound, you are probably better off getting one at your local grocery store. My Lidl's sells 10-15lb pumpkins for $4. As for food, they do sell food here. The good stuff is just sold on Saturdays, as they do have a restaurant. During our visit on a weekday, they only had their smaller snack shop open. I am not a fan of donuts, but they do make their own apple cider ones with a little sugar and cinnamon. They are very good and not super sweet, so if you have a sweet tooth, definitely worth getting a 6 pack of them. Overall a great experience for the family. It's one of the best farms I have been to. There is so much to do if you have a family. Jumper, petting zoo, maze, pick flowes. Pig races and so on. Parking is free, and you can get tickets online. The food is very good reasonable prices and kids didn't want to live. They are only open in the fall and lare spring early summer. read more

Good experience and overall fun. I went October 12th and while in the "petting zoo" was told by a staff member to me and my nephew that we were not allowed to touch the animals or reach for them. Why is it called a petting zoo then?? Also when going to look at the menu at one of the food stands another was rude asking if we even stood in line when there was no one standing in line to order. We went here last year and it's so much fun for the kids - lots to do. I know we were in rural Georgia but I was disappointed by the COVID safety. Though they "encouraged" mask wearing and social distancing, few wore masks and not many people were observing social distancing, nor was it being enforced. I was surprised to see maybe half of the staff wearing masks properly or at all. I get that it is outside, but to me it shows a lack of concern for the guests. We went to a pumpkin patch they have here. It was a great experience. Besides the pumpkin patch, they have a corn maze, hay rides, cow train rides, corn cannon (which was awesome except you're in Dawg land so the targets were a GT Yellowjacket and a UF Gator and I am not a Dawg fan at all), a pumpkin launcher, slides made ouf of big pipes, pig races, a petting zoo, pedal cars (I want one!), and a whole bunch of other stuff for the kids. It was great and the punpkins were cheap too. We got 5 big pumpkins, a few smaller ones and some gourds for $25. It would have cost us probably $100 for the same thing at a church pumpkin patch by our house or at the store. Overall, worth the drive to Athens! read more

With strawberry season coming to a close I felt it was a wonderful time to review Washington Farms. I am also reviewing the other location in Loganville because in my opinion they are very different. Both locations have the same friendly staff but they serve very different purposes. This is the flagship location. Sure... they have plenty of strawberries to pick, but they have loads of extras. Tons of stuff for the kids to do, hay rides, concession stands, etc. All of this is very fun and makes for a memorable outing. However, it also makes for large crowds and heavily picked strawberry plants. If you're just in it for strawberries you should go to the Loganville location, and if at all possible go on a weekday. I look forward to May and June for one reason and one reason only... strawberries. Thanks Washington Farms. This is completely unrelated to the farm, but a hilarious story (at least to me) so I thought i would share. My girlfriend, her son, and I were riding on the hay ride and it is relatively cramped quarters and also surprisingly quiet so you can hear other people easily. There's two middle-aged with with a few kids sitting across from us. One has a GIANT strawberry juice stain on her knee like she knelt on a nice, ripe strawberry. So she is talking about how this is her only pair of jeans she has and then look at her friend and in all seriousness says, "Wait... is this going to stain?" Her friend just looked at her and said, "It's strawberry juice." Made my day. Well... that... and gallons and gallons of strawberries made my day. read more

Washington Farms is my go to place to pick strawberries during the spring. I love being able to pick my own berries rather than just sniffing them through a carton at the grocery store. The berries at the Watkinsville location are HUGE this year (2018). Most of the berries look like two that have grown together to form a giant berry, who doesn't love a mutant strawberry amiright? The picking process is simple, if you have a bucket already then go ahead and head out to the fields. If you don't have a bucket then go to the cashier stand and they will gladly give you one (it is a dollar extra). Once you're in the fields you'll see little pink flags on each row. Pick a row with the flag at the end (this means no one has picked in that row that day). Pick all the strawberries your heart desires until your bucket has a small mound at the top. They will charge you if it's overflowing! Then place the pink flag where you stop and go pay for your berries, simple right? A bucket of strawberries is $12 and the bucket is $1 extra. There is another location in Loganville, GA for strawberries. Happy picking! read more

This place was a blast! The property is gorgeous & there was so much to do. We didn't get to do everything we wanted (little kids can only last so long haha) but it was so much fun. We were visiting from out of town but if I lived there I would definitely be back! The kettle corn was great, the petting zoo was fun for the kids, & the slides in the corn maze were awesome. Went to the corn maze and games for the first time since Corn Dawgs closed and it was great, not crowded at all, lots of room to run and they had lots of things for kids...jumping house, playground, tricycles, petting zoo etc. and a nice pumpkin and flower patch. The only downside was there wasn't a lot of variety in food. They only carry kettle corn not regular popcorn which isn't a huge deal. Honestly thought this farm was just for strawberry picking because that's all my family and I ever came here to do! This fall, my boyfriend and I were looking for a farm that had the whole fall package: corn maze, corn canon, pumpkin patch, hay ride,etc. I decided to try this place for our fall festivities this year. I had been to a few other corn mazes/ pumpkin patches thought my living in Georgia. And boy, I loved this place! It was huge and had everything. Cute barnyard games and moon bounces, pig races. The only thing they didn't have was a petting zoo, which I didn't really mind. If I brought my little brother then maybe it would've been more fit. But at least we were able to see cute little piglets during and after the race! The corn maze was huge! Short route took us maybe 30 minutes? The long route they said took maybe an hour I believe. This year it was UGA themed. We got lost a few times lol. The corn was nicely intact. I had been to a few corn mazes where teens cut through the corn, so you couldn't tell if it was a "cheat" path or the ACTUAL path the staff had laid out. Almost everything was included in the $14 wristband. Corn maze, pig race, games, 1 shot with corn canon. Extra for food, map, pumpkins. Staff was friendly and helpful. Went there when it opened at 4pm today (Friday). It was fabulous while nobody was there. We petted the animals, jumped on the trampoline, played at the playground, got lots of good photo ops, etc. By the time we left around 6pm the place was getting packed! The good: clean, friendly employees, very nice bathrooms, lots of activities for all ages. The bad: The cost of pumpkins here is pretty outrageous. We bought two baking pumpkins and three jack-o-lantern types and spent about $40. The woman ringing us up told us it was a great deal and that if we went to any grocery store we would be paying way more. We discovered this was completely untrue given that Kroger has pretty big pumpkins 2 for $8. Last year we traveled up to Jaemore Farms. They have a similar setup with lots of activities, a store, an eatery, etc. There the pumpkins were dirt cheap. We got 6 large pumpkins for around $24. While Washington Farms certainly beats Jaemore Farms for convenience I am relatively sure we will be making the drive next year. read more

I've visited this place for the U Pick strawberries three years in a row. Love it! The staff is friendly and helpful. The berries are always beautiful and sweet. If you get on their mailing list they will email you when the berries are at their peak! I always tend to pick more than we need - but they make excellent jam and freeze well, too. My in-laws were visiting from overseas and wanted to visit the local countryside and pick vegetables/fruit. Apple season wasn't in yet, so we decided to pick pumpkins. My kids and I had a blast at the Loganville farm during strawberry season. So, I mentioned that I knew the perfect farm. I called the Washington Farms Bogart location on Friday the 12th to spoke to an older lady. She said pumpkin picking has begun and they are open all weekdays, Saturday and Sunday too (despite the website saying they begin in late September). She told me to ignore the farm's website dates and she proceeded to give me the prices for admission and the variety of pumpkins available for picking and even recommended pumpkin pastry recipes. I spoke to my in-laws and Saturday was full with the GA Aquarium, World of Coke, etc. I called the older lady at the Bogart location again and redundantly inquired about their Sunday hours (because the website said differently). She repeated they are open that Sunday (September 14th) starting at 1p and every Sunday after that week. I, in turn, repeated the information back to her for verification. She confirmed gates open at 1p and they are open every Sunday starting that week for pumpkin picking. The following Sunday, we make the hour and a half drive from Midtown to the Bogart farm. We were running early and stopped off at the Waffle House on US78 right outside Monroe for breakfast (very friendly staff and I strongly recommend). The short order cook made Mickey Mouse pancakes for the kids, and the waitress and my wife exchanged stories about each other's kids. We wrapped up breakfast and headed up to Bogart. For those of you who use GPS units, your unit may not find the farm unless you input the location as Watkinsville instead of Bogart. We pulled up to the gate and the place was desolate and quiet. Not a person nor car on the property. My wife and I looked at each other and I could almost hear her thoughts, "Nice job husband, the farm's closed and we are going to look like buffoons in front of my parents!"). There was a sign on the right of the gate with a phone number to the farm. I nervously called while secretly praying the farm employees were running late to open the property. A guy answered and I explained, loud enough to be in earshot of my in-laws, that we are parked at the gate and no employees were present and we called ahead to confirmed the farm would be open that day. I could feel the blood drain from my face as he told me the farm is closed and opens the following Sunday and every Sunday after that. I would have argued with him over the phone and give him an ear full about what his co-worker repeatedly told me over the phone several days earlier, but I didn't. I think Yelp would be a good way of telling others to please take phone information from this farm with a grain of salt. What a complete waste of time! read more

This is our third year coming to Washington Farms for the Halloween season and we plan to come back every year until the daughter says ENOUGH. This is the first year my daughter has been full price ($12) and I still think it is a great deal. Upon arrival, you take a hayride from the main entrance back to the activity area. Once there, kids can enjoy unlimited rides on the cow train, family train, giant jumping pillow, bouncy house, wooden pirate ship, giant slides, smaller kids playground, huge "corn box," pedal cars, corn mazes, sandbox, water races, pig races, petting farm, and more. The only add'l charges once inside are for extra shots on the pumpkin slingshot and corn cannon. (One shot for each is included with admission and you can gift your shots to another member of your party if you so choose) The pumpkins are a bit more expensive than those at the grocery store but you do get to pick them fresh off the vine. For price comparison, we got two 25lb pumpkins and a mini pumpkin gourd for $22. They also sell fresh cut sunflowers, jams, jellies, gourds and delicious kettle corn. We'll be back :) read more
