Like visiting TJ's cousin, but is lesser known to Hawaii residents. This unassuming store offers pretty much (almost) the same basic items as TJ's but has lower prices and special deals on housewares, toys and assorted random items. I get vibes of a big box stores, but on a much smaller grocery store scale. Aldi's offers their house band labels as well some national brand items. Like TJ's some items are seasonal so grab them when you see your favorite items. The cashiers sit on chairs and ring you up. The cashier at this location placed my items in a cart. You then pay & bag your items up. You then replace that cart with yours. Some of the stores with subpar customer service expect you to unpack and place your items in your cart after being rung up. Btw, all Aldi stores charge for bags so you might want to bring your own. Also keep in mind that Aldi charges 25¢ for use of a shopping cart. Not the best Aldi's I have ever been to, but definitely not the worse! This is a more updated location and looks nice on the inside and on the outside. I love how spacious this one is on the inside! My problem is the selection of food isn't always the freshest here. They keep old items out and customers can mistakenly grab. Also, the staff here is less friendly than all the other location that I prefer. I understand scanning time is important, but we can still acknowledge each other. Not the worst Aldi I've ever been to, but also not the best. It's a remodeled Aldi with a lot of self checkout lines. The parking lot is a little rough with a lot of pot holes. The employees are usually friendly and nice whether it's at the checkout line or picking up a curbside order. When I do curbside pickup order, my order has always been accurate. Food availability is hit or miss depending on what time you go. Prices are usually really good compared to other grocery stores. read more

Newly remodeled, nice looking store. It's not on my usual errands route, but whenever I stop in I'm amazed at how low the prices are. Recently, my daughter was under the weather and requested OJ, frozen yogurt bars, and drinkable yogurt smoothies. I grabbed a jar of salsa too (which turned out to be really yummy) and my total was under 11 dollars! Can't beat that. read more

We are so happy to have an Aldi in our neighborhood! Now - to be fair - I cheated and saw a brand-new Aldi on the east coast a few months ago... they are FABULOUS! Much larger, better organized and they have WINE! BUT, enough of that... ...hope to see a remodel of this store soon. It seems as though the corporate office ignores this location more often than not. They are seemingly understaffed, disorganized and often out-of-stock for many items. The last time I was in an Aldi's was when I was a kid. I didn't really care for it and hadn't been in one for (cough) several decades. I've recently moved to the area and this Aldi's is the closest grocery store to my home and I needed an onion for a meal I was preparing, so I decided to run in and give it a try. Well, this Aldi's is nothing like what I remember. I'm most excited about the extensive organic items. They were a fraction of the price you'd pay at Whole Foods. It was also clean and well-lit. They also have a few aisles​ for home items like lawn chairs, bug zappers and pool shoes. There's a little bit of everything here! read more

More of a review of the store's customers, who are NOT being required to wear masks by the store OR stay anywhere near six feet away from other customers. I had one 300-plus pound guy blocking an aisle waiting to check out, and he wouldn't budge even an inch to allow others to pass. I waited for a several seconds, and his only comment was "I ain't sick, so you can come on by!" He clearly hasn't heard of all the asymptomatic victims that are passing this dreaded disease to others. Then two ladies came up and asked why I wouldn't move forward so they could shop, ignoring the elderly gentleman just six or so feet ahead of me that was evidently taking too much time for the two ladies. While I waited for him to make his meat selections, they decided to go around me and push their cart between me and the other customer, all in full view of the store's security officer, who said not one word. read more

This new store is just east of 71 highway, and is more spacious than most. There is also ample parking and good security. I enjoy the prices on many items like milk, cereal, and the weekly specials are awesome! read more

I love Aldi. There are bigger grocery stores. There are stores with more variety. But no other store will consistently save you this kind of money. My recent visit, whole pineapples were $1. Those are around $5 in most grocery stores. Blackberries, also about $1 (6 ounces). A third of the price of retail grocers. Aldi is also starting to venture into organic food as well. Organic salsa? Two bucks. Organic bananas 68 cents/pound. Organic salad $2.49 (half of retail). Organic chicken broth, two bucks a carton. The meat is also cheaper than most stores, unless other stores are having a sale. You have to bag your own groceries, and bring your own bag. If you don't they're ten cents each. Prepare to save a ton of money! read more

Before the remodel of this Aldi I hated going here. It was so old and outdated. The selection wasn't great. Now that they completely remodeled this Aldi, it's beautiful! I love shopping here. The employees are also great which makes shopping MUCH more enjoyable. Great job with management and hiring good employees! read more

We are temporarily using the Waldo Aldi while the Roeland Park store is re-built. A few of our old staffers work there now, which is great. Gloria is AMAZING and kind. However, I must report something/someone. It pains me to do so, in fact. I needed the brown rice spaghetti product I've purchased at Aldi for years. I asked TINA about it, mistakenly saying it was Fit&Active brand. She pointed to the regular pastas, and quickly said that was all the spaghetti they had. Then she mentioned "gluten free" never telling me where it was. I told her that was probably what I asked for. After locating it, myself, I went back to show her the product, very nicely saying I found it. She said, "Yah." That was it. No smile, no nothin', just "Yah." What a wicked sort of person to have representing your store, particularly as fine an establishment as Aldo. read more

This is where you should get all your pantry staples! Good, cheap, you get in and out fast, no complaints! This Aldi is super convenient for me. I come here when I see a killer sale in their ad or if I'm making a dish that can get pretty pricey. My latest trip here was to get cream cheese for 2 cheesecakes I plan on making for Thanksgiving. Cream cheese was on sale here for $.89 cents!! Hollaaaa! You can't get that anywhere else. I must say that the specialty desserts a pretty great too. I have a coworker that swears by their truffles! They always have them around the holidays and they are true gems. Aldi, Aldi's....whatever you want to call it, can save you a pretty penny! read more

indeed I have experienced better with the old, much more manageable Aldi, where at least you could occasionally spot someone on the floor if you needed assistance. Since the remodeling prices have increased considerably (example: bologna went from 99 center to 119, meaning 20%!!! increase), and not a single additional staff member added. And you still need to bring your own bag. This means long line at the exit and long time to find an item. Pity because Aldi used to be a good and highly competitive resource. read more

I'm an instacart shopper not sure the man's name but he wore glasses, had the huge ear holes and was working around 11:00 a.m on today. I had 3 separate orders and they were separated for my liking and understanding and for the purpose of keeping orders separated. He placed the first two orders back where they were but the last order was on the bottom. He said well "I can't put the last order back on the bottom because I can't reach down there...(instead of getting out that chair, and doing some other workequired) he just sat there and said I'll put it on top of this order. I even insisted on putting them below myself as he rang each item he still chose to do it his way. I'm sorry but this is unacceptable to the customer's needs. This has slowed my day down and sure as i expected those two orders were mixed up and I had to back track and take a bag back to the destination after I was done. Moral of the story just do what the customer asked instead of being lazy just to not get out the chair. This messes with my reviews as well as my time and it makes me look incompetent.
