Every Wednesday they run a special for 5.55 rolls. Back a couple of years ago, the cashier there told me the lady who makes their sushi has been doing so for years - even turning down opportunities to start her own restaurant. She's super friendly and very accommodating to requests. The sushi rice is perfectly cooked and the flavor is always on point for me. Extremely consistent as well and I believe on par with other sushi restaurants. For a little over 5 bucks, I'm always satisfied.

I got out of there for $6 for a similar salad I put together at JCCC for $9 the other day. With the money saved, I could get those keto bars! Except no. I'll really get them next time we do our shopping for home. But still! What a deal! I'm happy. I'm full. I have change in my pocket. There were next to no carbs in my salad choices, so I bet I can eat an entire cookie cake when I get home! Except not, but I can dream a little. I put my quarter into a cart and went up and down all of the aisles to check out their products. Aldi has a lot of good products for reasonable prices. I think they had moved their produce closer by the door and it was quite congested so I really didn't get to look at that area as much. Everything that we're in the fridge and freezer areas looked fresh and well stocked. I always enjoy going down their aisle that has a variety of non-grocery items to see what they have. They did have quite a bit of gluten-free items and a lot of variety of specialty beverages. While I was there, I purchased a variety of beverages for my husband to try. I purchased some gluten-free protein shakes and items as well as some snack things for my grandkids. And I also got a tool for working out knots in the body. That was an excellent price for only $6.99 which was wonderful since I had been looking at Walmart and there was $28 and Amazon was $18 on sale! I checked my own items at that time because I didn't buy a whole lot while I was in on the first visit. I did go back the next day to return an unopened package and an opened package of protein cheese puffs. They were absolutely awful, but Aldi has a good return policy and I had the receipt and they immediately refunded my money on a gift card because I told them I was going to use it while I was there. On that day, I purchased a few more items and left. The only thing that I don't like and the reason I don't shop there is because it feels congested down the aisles and everyone seems like they are in a mad rush to shop. It's kind of stressful and they only had two checkers working and they expected you to check out your groceries on the rest of it. So I'm sticking with Walmart just because I love the ease of having my groceries delivered and ordering online. But I would recommend this store for the great deals and good product selection.

Initially the scanners weren't working on the self checkout register I was on, then whatever stupid AI is monitoring the video accused me of theft because I scanned some large items and put them back in my cart. It also didn't give me a receipt. When I left the store to take my groceries to my car the cart wheels locked up and I banged my shin on the cart. Then had to lift the entire cart off the ground to put it away because the wheels were locked.
