​I randomly visited the Lenexa Sprouts location for the first time since it opened. I used to live right behind this lot before the store was built, and what an upgrade! I wish it was around when I was living in the area. I would definitely be a regular customer! I visited on a quiet Tuesday afternoon, and the store was organized, neat, and easy to navigate, which was a lovely start. ​I had two main items on my mission: grabbing the Back to Nature Peanut Butter Creme Crackers (a snack I became obsessed with after a trip to New York!) and picking up a specific protein powder for my mom, which was on a great Buy One, Get One 50% Off deal. ​However, the real highlight was the service, thanks to Dahlia, a head cashier employee who stopped to help us. Dahlia was incredibly kind and went above and beyond. She walked us through the free rewards program, explaining not only how to find coupons but also detailing a huge deal: if you buy $100 or more in health & beauty products (including that protein powder!) within a three-month span, you will be able to get 30% off your next purchase. She explained that the purchases history for this deal resets after the three months are up. ​She even took the time to offer personalized recommendations, sharing her own experience with thinning and oily hair and suggesting specific shampoo and conditioner products for me to try. After Dahlia helped me with the rewards sign-up, I checked out with a different cashier. This cashier was also super nice; she knew I was setting up the account and proactively made sure I either entered my phone number or had my rewards barcode scanned before I paid, guaranteeing I got my points for that trip. ​The service didn't end there! I had a $3 off coupon for the protein powder that wouldn't go through due to the store's poor cell service/Wi-Fi connection. Dahlia, without hesitation, simply gave me $3 back in cash to honor the coupon deal--that is truly above and beyond customer service. ​I highly recommend this location! I love Sprouts. The vegetarian selections are great and the fish section is incredible. Stopped by in the afternoon on New Year's Eve and they still had KING CRAB LEGS! That is honestly unheard of. They were delicious! The pieces at Sprouts can be high but the sales are GREAT! Shops the sales and the prices are better than other grocery stores nearby. I haven't been to many Sprouts markets before as there are none near where I live. We were visiting a friend in the Kansas City area and we needed to stock up on a few grocery items. Our friend showed us the clearance area off to the side. I now know to look for that area when visiting other Sprouts. This store had a pretty good selection of prepared salads and entrees. We bought a broccoli kale farrow salad that was delicious. Their bulk food area is large and we did indulge in some semi-unhealthy treats. The dark chocolate covered walnuts were decadently good. Yogurt and bananas completed our order and we were on our way. There is plenty of parking. Rumor has it that Sprouts is coming to a neighboring town, just 8 miles away from my home. I honestly LOVE this location. I shop there sometimes a couple times a week, and the staff is always so extremely nice and pleasant, every single time. The produce is hit or miss, as I find it is with almost every Sprouts location I have been too. Depending on the season, they often won't have certain fruits and vegetable available in Organic. They do however frequently run amazing sales on organic produce, especially berries. Not as much variety as Whole Foods. Especially in regards to organic items in general. Some things can be more expensive that Whole Foods, while other things are cheaper. So you have to keep an eye out for that. If you have Instacart +, you get free pickup! Which is super convenient. The shoppers who shop for and package the groceries are great. Highly recommend. read more

Sprouts was my main jam while I was in Lenexa. I was able to pick up veggies, meat, tea, water and fruit to last me the week. I loved that Sprouts had fresh sliced meat packets, as well as the snap pea containers, and a big selection of water. Service was very helpful, but I would have liked better signage for what was in each lane. The cut fruit was also not fresh - all three containers I purchased (two pom seeds, and one watermelon) were all very frementy. All in all, it was awesome to have a Sprouts so close to the hotel and I appreciated being able to walk over and Lyft back with my groceries! read more

Had to run to the store to get ingredients for dinner. Since I have many quality grocery stores nearby, I came here because there was a sale on corn on the cob. This place reminds me of a no frills Trader Joe's. It's small enough where I can see everything as soon as I get in but big enough to have everything I need. I am one of those people who plan my meals around the weekly specials so I came in here strictly for the corn. Don't ask me how but I managed to shuck 18 ears of corn and left the store in under 10 minutes. Not bad, but I'm high energy and go go go! I'm just glad I didn't get stuck waiting for them to bring more produce out because I'm one of the people who will ask. The place is always clean and busy, but the lines move pretty quickly. Parking isn't the greatest since everything is angled parking so there's that. If you want consistently good quality groceries, come here. read more

I came to Sprouts to find some items that I could add to my list of "safe" foods with my new food allergies. I was having a hard time finding a lot of items at my hometown grocery store. I was so happy to find plentiful organic fruit and vegetables, gluten free/soy-free/nut free bread, pasta, cereal, on and on! I even found chocolate chips safe for my soy allergy. I will go out of my way to go to Sprouts for produce. Their produce seems to be the freshest and sometimes the lowest price of anywhere else. They carry unusual items (I think I saw a jackfruit one day) and they have organic produce too. They probably have 10 different kinds of apples, purple cauliflower, rainbow carrots, and other items not typically found at the regular grocery stores. Although I don't shop all departments, it appears they have a large vitamin and supplement department, meats, bakery and more. Bought Mykind brand organic B-12 and Vitamin C organic spray for mom (easy to use spray than swallow hard pill daily) few weeks ago and just found out vitamin C's bottom part of the box was damp, even while the safety seal on the box top still on. Went back w/o receipt (I don't keep grocery receipt), didn't see anyone at customer service area, so walked up directly to vitamin section and talked to the staff who was there, explained the issue and showed her the leaking box asked if I can just do an exchange right there or I need to talk to manager? After checking the box she gave me a new one and I was out of the door within 5 minutes. Thank you Sprouts @Liberty, you make a shopping/exchange procedure so simple and comfortable for customers, that's why I keep on coming back shopping at this location even though I don't live nearby this area, but happy to come back to you more than the one closed to where I lived. read more

Maybe I didn't get Sprouts on 135th St. enough credit when I visited about a year ago. Since this Lenexa location opened about a month ago, I've been hooked by their great pricing, friendly employees, and great organic foods. When I wrote my review for the other location, I noted that the prices really weren't that much different than other "health food" type stores around the area. Apparently I wasn't looking at the right items. Sprouts is cheap. You really can't beat their everyday prices on fruits, veggies, and some pre-packaged items. Meats, cheese, and other items are comparable to other stores, but you also feel like you are getting a better quality product than if you simply visited a neighborhood grocery store. 50 cents for a pineapple? A dollar a pound for honeycrisp apples? 1.99/lb for a bag of organic grapes? These prices are ridiculous. This location also isn't as crammed in as the other on 135th. It's easy to navigate around the aisles and I've never seen it too crazy on the weekends. The other store might as well have been planning for a post-apocalyptic feast - the people were crazy inside. I'll take the more laid back style of this joint any day of the week. I'm so glad Sprouts has expanded a little closer to home for me. This location is a great option to pick up foods as a cheaper price with a friendly smile all around the store. read more

Sprouts is my favorite place (other than Farmer's markets) to get produce. Their selection, variety, quality and price can't be beat. They are always having specials that make produce extremely affordable and also have a nice selection of organic produce. Depending on when their trucks come, the selection may be better than other days. I've found Thursday afternoons are usually good, but Sundays can be picked through. Although their produce is extremely reasonable, their packaged food/dairy/etc seems to be higher than other places (unless they are having a sale), so I usually just come here for produce and sometimes supplements or natural care (essential oils, homeopathic stuff, etc). read more

This is a good grocery. They have good produce and reasonable prices. My only problem is the deli. I went there today and the guy cutting deli didn't acknowledge me after I stood there about 4 minutes. I gave up and decided to come back, stood there again a couple more minutes and gave up. He saw me, but wouldn't acknowledge my presence either time, and this is a normal way they treat you at the deli. I know employees are tough these days, but it's been going on so long that i think it's a training issue. read more

I'm a Sprouts lover. I can't say enough about it except that I wish one was closer. They consistently have deals that rival the bigger grocery stores in the area. They have fresh fruits and vegetables. Sprouts lets you use both weeks' ads on Wednesdays. I can't complain about that. That allows me to double up on deals. The layout is great. It encourages you to take advantage of the fruits and vegetables by highlighting them in the middle. They have really nice selections of meat there. I have a weird affection for tea tree products and they carry enough products for me to be happy. My only complaint is that this location seems a bit smaller than the one out further in Johnson County. My daughter and mom didn't like the size but I found everything that I wanted. read more

I just got home from Sprouts with a beef roast that had half an inch of fat on the back side. Overall, all love this store. You can park close to the door, it's small enough that you can get your shopping done quickly and the prices are very reasonable. They don't have quite the selection as the giant groceries, but we find ourselves shopping more and more at Sprouts. They'd get five stars from me easily if not for this poorly trimmed beef today. When reported to HR it was explained that they are out of state and have scheduling conflicts that prevent them from looking into the multiple complaints. The restock on their vegan options is super slow... ive been waiting three weeks for their JUST egg shipment... AND they cheapen their fresh sushi by adding fake crab meat to EVERY option.... their "spicy tuna" roll will say "tuna" on the package but it's about 2/3 fake crab meat and 1/3 tuna... and their Philadelphia roll was ALL fake crab meat.... it should be salmon and it still costs $8 Super shady... read more

You might as well simply find the nearest dumpster and dive in head first and you will get the same quality product this so called healthy grocery store sells you at full retail plus! When I got home to see that almost half of the items I purchased were expired and I don't mean a day or two, we're talking a month or two! Sprouts is absolutely amazing. Carries the same type of produce and goods as Whole Foods and Natural Grocers except less expensive. Their store is large and well organized. All of the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The first time I went in I just wandered around to get a lay of the store and happened across my favorite hard to come by items and they were less expensive than other places. I picked up a few things and headed to the checkout line. I was impressed to see that they print on the front and back of the receipt to save on paper. They are an extremely green company. The next time I went I was looking for a protein powder that was lactose free. The person that was in charge of that area came over and recommended a couple different types that he uses. We talked for quite a while about the pros and cons of each one and I made my decision. He was extremely informative and not pushy, he was just trying to help me make a decision based on my needs. Now I am a regular there and pick up quite a few of the things I used to get at a regular grocery store. Their prices and their selection seem to be just about everyone in town. read more

Oh how I love thee. With your fresh cheaply priced veggies and your wonderous bulk bins and spices. I don't know how I ever lived without you in my life. I'm from California and I remember all the hype when we were getting one in our city. Fast forward years later and I'm now living in Kansas. I finally made it to a Sprouts after it being suggested to me by my hairdresser. Man, have I been missing out. Not only will you find cheap fresh produce, you'll find uncommon things you'd not find at your average grocer; for example: Kiwano melons, Chia seeds, hemp seeds, Indian spices, flax oil, organic foods, organic coconut oil, different types of kale. I'm in heaven when I come here and when I check-out I always leave with a smile, because I'm eating healthy without spending an arm and a leg. I HIGHLY suggest this to anyone. Love shopping here. Not only does what I buy always make me feel like I'm making good choices (since mostly produce due to the tempting prices), but the staff is super friendly and helpful. Sprouts proves that eating right doesn't have to be expensive...I swear, at least 1 type of Apple is on sale for $0.99/lb every week...cilantro is cheaper than any other local grocery store...and their produce sales typically beat competitors. Staff is also awesome. If it appears that they are out of (i.e.) chicken, not only is it normally pretty easy to find someone to ask (I find this impossible in Home Depot), but they are more than willing to go in the back & check for more. I love that rain checks never expire, so I don't worry about them hiding in my coupon bin. I love Sprouts! Ever since moving here, I have had trouble finding a place with cheap & fresh produce. Back in Pennsylvania, we had a place called Produce Junction where pounds of fruits and veggies would be mere dollars. I have been in search of any place that comes close to Produce Junction since moving out of PA. Well, Sprouts is not that cheap, but it's one of the cheapest I've found! I go to Sprouts for the inexpensive produce, but love it for its grocery section. The whole store reminds me of a larger version of Trader Joe's (because of its health foods) with cheaper and fresher produce and a wider variety of brands. Sprouts makes their own brand of a wide variety of items, but also carries many other options (unlike Trader Joe's). They have canned/jarred items, a freezer section, dairy, and most everything any other grocery store has. The only thing that I wish was cheaper is the meats (but I am rarely satisfied with meat prices). Sprouts is one of my favorite grocery stores and I will continue to keep coming back! read more

Not convenient for an everyday grocery store, and some items can get a little pricey--BUT, if you pay attention to the weekly sales and clip mobile coupons before coming you can get really great deals on produce! (example: $0.88 blueberries, normally $2.50+ at HyVee) It's definitely worth stopping in once a week to check out the deals. I love me some Sprouts. . Sprouts is about fruits, veggies, breads, and nuts and healthy things and some really good, wholesome meats. You may think that "Hey, Trader Joe's has all that too!" and you'd be mostly right but at Sprouts there is a lot more of it and at way better prices. Sure, some of the meat counter things are still pretty pricey, but they don't skimp on anything. And then when it comes to packaged meat in the coolers? Sprouts blows Trader Joe's out of the water. Sprouts has great meat and is a) not widely overpriced like TJ's meats (Admit it, it is overpriced and you know it!) but in fact is b) Totally reasonably priced and sometimes AWESOMELY priced. Like I mean, great sales. We stock up here for meat more often than the big grocery stores because the prices are better and BONUS! the meat looks better and is healthier. And the meat department is just like the second or third best thing about Sprouts! The produce section is awesome. Really great selection with lots of different fruits and veggies all at good prices and sometimes great sales prices. The quality is great. We had some lettuce we got that lasted for WEEKS in our fridge. last time I bought a bag of Dole Spring Mix from the grocery store it was going brown in 2 days despite not being close to the expiration date. Sprouts produce will LAST. I love all the bread selections and the cheeses are yummy. We are fans of hitting the basket of leftover cheese nubbins that are the leftover random bits from other things. There are lots of other healthy and reasonably priced things all over the place from dairy to frozen to canned and boxed goods to snacks and dietary junk. They've got your gluten and sugar free things covered as well. All in all, Sprouts has quickly become our go to grocery store with the other places simply filling the gaps for staples and junk. Sprouts is where it's at (if only where they were at was closer to my house...). We first fell in love with the Sprouts at 135th and ultimately decided to swing by this location as they were almost the exact same distance from our house. In every weekly visit, I see staff putting out fresh produce so I know I am getting the best that my geographical location has to offer. Despite what you are looking for, this farmer's market has it without the long drive to the Crossroads. The natural supplements area is probably the part of the store I have become most loyal to.
