I shopped using their curbside pick up service today. These nasty mofos gave me not one, but two moldy old pineapples. Of course they don't have a phone number to call and I must travel all the way back there to return these pieces of crap . Shame on these nasty people! read more

Great prices, clean. This is one of very few Aldi's on the east coast of Florida that has a safe parking lot. The Dania location keeps you constantly looking over your shoulder. With that said, the staff at the registers are some of the most rude and entitled people I've had the pleasure of checking out with. It's a constant inconvenience, I've never once heard a thank you or anything else that doesn't scream "I hate my job". Update. Got home with our groceries. Opened up the Brussels sprouts we bought, smelled like rotting eggs, threw them in the trash. Opened the bag of sun dried tomatoes as well, found mold and threw that away. Whenever I shop at Aldi's and fill up my cart and see the $40 total, I feel like I'm getting away with something. The best part of that is the produce is fresh, although not as big a selection as I like, and not as many organics as I like--but still fresh and good. They have great chocolates from Europe, the same salmon and ahi as you would find at Trader Joe's. I love their Irish grass-fed butter, goat cheese, and cage-free, organic eggs, bacon with no hormones, nitrates and nitrites. Thank you Aldi's for being there so we don't need the regular grocery. read more

Think of Aldi's as the estranged brother of Trader Joe's. The abbreviated history is that Aldi's and Trader Joe's were owned by German brother's who fell out over whether or not to sell cigarettes. One headed the chain that became Aldi's and the other chain became Trader Joe's. While Trader Joe's has great prices, Aldi will beat them and just about everyone else's prices every time. You can still signs of that German heritage all over Aldi's like the German roasted coffee they sell. if you want to save money on groceries Aldi's is a great way to do it. In order to bring you those low prices Aldi's has instituted some cost cutting measures. If you want a cart you will need to bring a quarter and to get your money back you need to return your cart from the parking lot back to the store saving employees from having to collect the carts. You will also have to bring your own bags or pay for theirs. Lines will most likely be long because they keep their staff to a bare bones minimum. Best of all is the check out. To get people through the line more quickly they will literally throw your groceries into the cart they keep chained at the check out. You will frantically try to grab your items out but will never be fast enough. At least the lady checking me out saw I would be awhile collecting my items and she moved me out of the way with the cart and brought an empty one over to help the next person. This isn't my local Aldi's but I was in the area so I decided to see what I could save on. Produce was cheap, with melons and strawberries for just a little over a dollar which is a big savings over Publix. During the school year I use Aldi's to pick up inexpensive snacks for my students. Today they had a selection of affordable Mothers's Day gifts. Three wick candles were under $5. They had really cute solar figures for the garden which I picked up along with chocolate, and diffusers with essential oils. I purchased a card for $1 that would easily be over $5 at Hallmark. With the money I saved I was able to treat some mom to me ladies for the holiday. I find some departments too small for me like the meat but if Aldi's has what I need it will always be at the best price. I keep tote bags in my car just in case I want to stop at one. The company has recently remodeled a number of their stores and this is one of them. Everything was clean and well organized. Staff was busy all over the store unloading more product. I always like checking out their seasonal products and home goods items to stock my gift closet. If I lived closer I would be here all the time. read more

Stopped in this Aldi as I was in the neighborhood. Recently remodeled, this Aldi is spacious and well lit. Products were stocked neatly on the shelves but due to some shortages due to COVID-19 panic shopping, there was little left in the cleaning and paper products aisles. Cashier was polite and let me leave my cart by the register as I needed to visit the rest room before I headed home. The rest room was clean but could use a hook to hang a purse or diaper bag. Also, I didn't see any sanitizing wipes for the shopping carts but I carry my own hand sanitizer so I was good. Please get some sanitizer or wipes, Aldi! I was able to pick up the things I needed and get out quickly. Remember to bring your quarter and your bags! read more

I visited this location in lieu of my regular Aldi due to the fact I was in the neighborhood this past weekend. It worked out in my favor for a few reasons. First, the parking lot is SO MUCH nicer and easier to maneuver than the Okeechobee Blvd. store in WPB. Next, a very kind lady offered me her shopping cart after she finished loading her neighboring car. This is a treat for me because I admit I'm cheap and typically fill my bags as I shop rather than spend a quarter. Note: one gets their quarter back if they return the cart. On the contrary, I spent significantly more than I normally do as I didn't have to be conscious about how much I was loading into my bags. The real win was this store has my deodorant in stock while my usual store was sold out earlier in the week. The cashier was both efficient and kind. The shelves were well stocked and the aisles clutter free. Finally, I paid my cart forward and continued the cycle of blessing. I may shop at this location more often. read more

I've been shopping at Aldis on Congress for years. Today I encountered the rudist clerk and I'm not sure if I will shop at this Aldis again. He was patient enough to allow the man in front of me to return an item which was no problem but it was holding things up. He had no patience for me trying to find my change. He treated me like a subhuman putting my change right on top of mine. He said my billfold was touching the conveyer belt at the end of the checkout while I was getting the change out. I said just keep all the change. read more

We scheduled a curb side pickup for the beginning of our vacation. Pull into the parking lot and waited 10 min before I walked in to ask if anyone was going to bring it out. Someone brings out an order, says nothing, and walks away. Get to our vacation house, and realize it is someone else's order. So drive back and tell them they gave us the wrong order. An employee goes to get ours, get home the $90 order and find we are missing almost $10 worth of food, which is just enough to keep me from driving back because I've been traveling all day and don't want to deal with them any more. I would not suggest doing curbside pick up here unless you want to go through your order item by item to verify they haven't forgotten half of it. That kind of defeats the purpose of using the curbside pickup. read more

This person instigates problems even told at times by management to get bank to her register and do their job. Instead of instigating problems with customers. Please fire her Aldi's. Unfortunately the general vibe amongst the employees feels stressed and rushed. The cashiers throw your groceries in the cart when they ring you up so you might have some broken items due to that. The managers are constantly putting unnecessary pressure on the employees telling them to move faster and hurry up which is probably why they throw your stuff into the cart cause for whatever reason it makes sense to only have one cashier?Also you might wanna wear a raincoat in the parking lot walking to and from your car. They have sprinklers on during store hours and the water reeks of rotten eggs getting everything in the parking lot soaked. Make sure you have some sort of cover on your groceries because they will get wet, so will you and so will your car. On the bright side they have some vegan items, always a plus! read more

Russ, rude, rude!!! I just returned something to ALDI's that I purchased yesterday. The cashier first told me to put in the card I used; it was a debut card so I usually just get cash back and she said she couldn't do that.. Again, she told me to put my card in...said she wasn't going to argue with me. I put my card in, and she said "it was declined". I asked how they can decline a return and she nastily said she didn't know. Then she had me do it again and ended up going me cash back. This store is currently under renovation, I'm not sure if they're expanding. But I hope they do because I do find their selections smaller than other locations I've been to. Overall, things are always stocked but customer service at the front counter could be better. Even when there's no line and it's not busy, they seem quick to want to get you out and rush you to take your things. read more

I usually like Aldis, but this location has quite a few problems. First, the positives. Aldi is a great place to find lower cost products. Mainly pantry goods; snacks, canned goods, baking necessities, spices, paper goods, etc. They also carry some good quality and low priced frozen and refrigerated items; eggs & dairy, frozen fruit & vegetables, frozen meats, pizzas, etc. Some of the savings comes from switching from brand name to generic versions, some of it comes from an increased amount of self-service (you rent a cart to eliminate them having staff fetch them afterwards, you bag your own groceries and bring or pay for bags, etc.), and some of the savings comes from their streamlined operations (i.e. products completely wrapped in barcodes so the cashier doesn't have to waste time looking for where to scan it). Savings can be small or substantial, but the largest savings are on processed items (chips, cereal, breads, etc.), baking need (spices), meats (mostly chicken products, don't expect high end cuts of beef/pork), and dairy (cheese, milk, eggs). Now the negatives. This location has 2 main problems; pricing accuracy and product handling. Pricing accuracy: You always have to check your receipt, the price on the shelf, and the weekly flyer. Without fail every time I've bought over $40 worth of groceries, there was a mispricing of some sort and it's never to my favor. Sometimes it's a product costing $0.25 more than listed on the shelf. Sometimes it's massive like a ham advertised in their weekly flyer for $0.85 / lb but when you check out it's rung as $1.90 / lb, times 10 lbs and you just got screwed out of $10 on a single item. And no, I'm not confused, exactly what was advertised and yet mispriced. You better catch it in store, otherwise I hope you saved the item, the weekly flyer, your receipt, and took a picture of the shelf to prove you got screwed if you come later to seek a refund of the difference. I'm not making a 15 mile special extra trip to Aldi for the week wasting $5 in gas just to seek a $5 refund, I'm just going to be frustrated and eat the loss. Product handling: You should expect everything to be broken or rotten unless proven otherwise. There are times I've seen literally half the cartons of eggs on the rack smashed and leaking egg goo. Frozen peas that had obviously thawed and refrozen into one solid block. Produce that was rotten to the core on the day of purchase. Yogurt that had obviously gone without refrigeration for quite some time and had mold growing in it when I opened it up 3 weeks before its listed expiration date. The standard checks and balances for a typical grocery store are that it isn't the grocery store's property until they accept receipt. So if, for example, Publix buys eggs and egg-guy tries to deliver a rack of eggs that are blatantly broken, Publix would tell him to take it back and they aren't accepting or paying for the product. Egg-guy eats the loss for mishandling the product instead of Publix. Publix is looking out just for themselves, but by doing so they in effect are also looking out for their consumer. However almost everything in Aldi is Aldi brand. So if the Aldi truck pulls in and the 100 lb box of apples falls off the truck during unloading and bruises, whether the Aldi store manager or the Aldi delivery guy eats the loss for the damaged apples, it's still Aldi eating the loss. So the Aldi store manager just puts the apples on the shelf and hopes the consumer doesn't realize, and then Aldi doesn't have to eat the loss. Aldi is just looking out for themselves (like Publix was), but this doesn't translate to them looking out for their consumer. Aldi has a "quality guarantee". I don't want a "guarantee" where I have to drive back to your store, hold up your 1 cashier from checking out the line of people, and complain about how the head of lettuce I just bought yesterday was completely rotten inside to try to get my $1.25 back. I want you to refrigerate it properly so that it's good in the first place. And if you mishandle it or forget to refrigerate it properly, throw it away, don't just put it on the shelves and "hope" maybe it was only left out 5 minutes and not 5 hours. I essentially have to operate under a premise that if I can't 100% verify the item is undamaged & unspoiled, don't buy. It becomes tedious to inspect every egg in a carton, feel every apple through a 3 lb poly-bag to see if any are already mealy or bruised, feel up bags of frozen items to see if they feel frost-bitten or evidenced they'd thawed and been refrozen, take lids off containers to see if the plastic seal is still there or if it's been previously open, etc. I used to shop at Aldis throughout the Northeast and never encountered these issues. Not sure if it is just COVID or whether this store's standards are just lower. Overall, you can save some money, but shop as if the savings are too good to be true and you're looking for the catch. read more

I though the concept of bringing a quarter to get a cart that you get back after is pointless. Who has loose change in their pocket at all times, you can't even get a basket. And you pay 10 cents per bag if you didn't bring your own bags (Californians are used to that). Messy store and it seemed very unorganized plus the checkout people were less than friendly. Very disappointing visit. Will never go back again. Thank goodness there's a Trader Joe's closer to me!! read more

I LOVE shopping at Aldi! To me it is like a little Costco (#1 costco fan right here. I never have less than wonderful experience EXCEPT when I go to the Aldi at 220M Congress Ave Lake Park FL. I ONLY go to this one if pressed for time (my daughters school is 0n Northlake). EVERY time I go in this particular location I am always disappointed. I love the selection /variety of products & ALWAYS have wonderful experience with the cashiers. KEPHARD is sweetness smiles lots of patience(sometimes I have my Toddler daughter who has Down syndrome with me) very helpful.Awesome!!! The Manager Tim is to put it nicely "a jerk". He never smilea (except flirting with the girl who is stocking shelves and she is very UNhelpful & rude) If you ask a question about product price location Tim acts as if you asked him to atand on his head. After finding and pointing out product in question the comment is ".it is right here clearly posted apparently you didnt look enough" this was the comments today and I couldnt go one more time just ignoring this behavior. I realize there is a pandemic. However, although I am a regular Aldi shopper (at least weekly) when I went to Aldi on Monday March 16 I waited in the line that snaked through the aisles for almost 2 hours because there were only 2 cashier lanes open to serve customers. I could have left but wanted to be certain I got the items in case there was a food shortage. As a senior over 70, I feel I may have been exposed unnecessarily to the virus. The store should have made accommodations so that 100 people were not shopping in the stores and waiting in lines for 2 hours to check out. I hope the store will manage this problem because the virus may be at contagious levels for months to come and it puts shoppers at risk for transmission. read more
