Clean store. I stopped in to pick up a few items on a Wednesday around 3pm. I walked in and there was 1 cashier, no self checkouts, and the line was ridiculous. First let me they you, you never know what you will find at Aldi but it will usually be good. Thus review is regarding my recent Aldi find Cheesecake Factory at Home Cafe Mocha Pudding. It's like a frozen mocha but a pudding, it comes with these little yummy dark chocolate crumbs that you pour to taste in the pudding. I can only say this - if you like a Cafe Mocha but want a change you should try it. Creamy, light texture and only 210 calories. Don't forget to bring your quarter! Being a fan of Trader Joe's, I'm always glad when I can find and shop at Joe's frugal little brother, Aldi. Like every Aldi I've ever been to, this particular location off of 23 is compact (read small), but packs a big punch. Unlike any of the much larger chain grocery stores, you won't wander down 27 different aisles looking for your groceries here. There is no coffee shop, no butcher, no bakery, but there is a large selection of items for a great price. I've never been a fan of their fruit or produce, but I enjoy their Fit and Active Brand, for everything from bread to soup. They have a great selection of cheese, meats, and drinks. Going through the aisles, you'll find a lot of wine, "seasonal" items, gifts, toys, drinks and even some clothing items, but you won't find a lot of name brands. One way Aldi keeps prices so low is to use their own brand for many of their items. Another cost saver is by "charging" a quarter to get a cart, which ensures customers will return it, thus they don't have to hire individuals to collect carts in the parking lot. They also don't hire any baggers, so make sure to bring your reusables and work on your packing skills. So it's a bit of a distance but I feel that making the drive is worth every penny or quarter as it were! Right so don't forget to bring a quarter for a cart; as well as bags. The vegetables and fruit are good quality with a nice low price tag. There is a nice variety of cheese and meats as well. They have a generous amount of wine with great variety. Prices for their dairy products are reasonable and can be lower then other groceries. The service is always fast and friendly. They have some great sweet treats as well. Some great cheesecake and chocolate! My only regret is the quality of meat isn't what I expect but other than that it's a great store! read more

Aldi is a great store. My first experience in Aldi was when I was in college. I basically lived off the food there! As for this location in Lewis Center, it is fairly new but has been in this area for a while now. I choose to write this review because I want others to know the location and also be aware of the produce there. I am very knowledgeable about some of where this produce came from because I used to work for Del Monte which supplied most of its fruits and vegetables to wholesale stores and Aldi. Aldi will make an order based off how much they think they will sell of each produce item. While I was with Del Monte I saw more pineapples, bananas and avocados going there. Mostly the "in season" foods were going to Aldi. I go to this store because it's a very convenient drive from where I live. I also like how this store isn't super busy like the one on Mound Street and in Gahanna. That means service is also way better here. If you need something they will look behind the refrigerator just to find it for you. Even though I don't come here often I wanted to give it credit since I realize it does have Gordon Foods next door as its competitor and as a store I think this one out beats that one. If you aren't on the Aldo train yet, it's time to hop on board. This place has groceries for literally half the price of every other grocery store and so far, the only product that I don't like to buy at Aldi is plain Cheerios. To start, the parking lot is huge and always has close spots available. The carts are easy to access - just insert your quarter and you get it back at the end! Then you walk inside and everything is neatly arranged and not overwhelming. This particular Aldi isn't as expansive as some of the new ones, but I haven't had any issues getting what I need. Plus, it's nice to get through an entire grocery store sometimes without walking 5 miles. Some of my favorite recurring Aldi purchases are the winking owl wine ($3.99) and their assortment of fresh produce, which they get in daily. I can get an entire bag of apples for $2.99. They also have amazing bacon wrapped steak fillets for less than $5.00. The best part of this location? The people. Nicest staff I've encountered in a grocery store. read more

We were finishing up shopping for Thanksgiving. We stopped at the Aldo store on Rt. 23 at Lewis Center. They were very busy but not over crowded. The store was clean and organized. We were able to find the items we needed and they still had turkeys! We wanted to get a smaller one for us to make sandwiches and other goodies for our house. I always buy more food than I intended to! They had Christmas shaped pretzels that will be used for a special treat! I haven't been disappointed with my food choices and things taste great! Very rarely find a "name brand" product. I can shop at Aldi spend less and serve food that is tasty and enjoyable! As a more frequent visitor to this store, I have purchased items to fix special holiday foods at a better price and because of the prices I am able to make more for less! read more

Nice store with all the items you need at great prices. It's not the biggest but it's a nice change from the other types of grocery stores in the area as it's no frills but you get quality food and merchandise. This was clean with decent staff. read more

Columbus yelpers- if you're not feeling the Aldi love yet you need to get on board. You'll cut your monthly grocery bill nearly in half but you'll never compromise taste or quality. Just learn the basics of how Aldi differs from other supermarkets and you'll have a great experience. Just moved here from Chicago suburbs and all my friends there love aldi. Here I don't know anyone yet who shops there so I want to spread the word! Great staff! With the newly renovated store it makes things easy to find and the clean eating options are endless! I can find everything I need here at aldis. Prices are jaw dropping low!
