We needed a Mickey Mouse birthday cake in less than 36 hours for a little boy's special birthday wish, and no other bakery in the area could guarantee it. The Store Director, Dessie, personally walked us through decorative options and assured us it would be ready by Sunday afternoon -- and she delivered on that promise. There was a minor issue at pickup, but Natasha corrected it within five minutes with professionalism and a smile. That kind of responsiveness truly makes a difference. The final cake was exactly what we hoped for, and our son is going to be thrilled. It's rare to find a team that steps up so quickly and makes things happen when you're in a pinch. I use to recommend this store to everyone and experienced it as a positive and courteous staff, excellent prices ... that is until the other day when I went thru the shop and scan line and was asked to show a receipt and then pretty much accused of not paying. Greeter said "I saw you putting things in bags but didn't see you pay" Hmmm ... my bill was $16 and I of course paid quickly with my debit card. I also had popped in the store quickly for a few things I had forgotten PRIOR to picking up my online $265 order outside at the pickup area! Really insulting and gross. The thing is, h the greeter who stopped me sees me in and out of the store several times a week so highly unlikely that I am a criminal. I'll now be primarily shopping at the brand new Kroger in Powell and will share this negative story with others. So disappointing at what had been a courteous and customer friendly environment. read more

Came in to the place to use the bathroom. Looks like it has a nice selection of items. They have those big touch screen soda fountains. 8 selection of frozen slushies. Only thing I dislike and the reason it's 4 stars is that it is a 1 person restroom rather than having multiple people being able to use it at once. read more

I was helping my mom and was tasked with running errands today. Stopped at this Meijer around 11:30 am today looking for Stouffer frozen pizzas and golden beets. (Odd combination, right? Hey, Im just the Go-for, lol). This Meijer is located just north of Powell Rd on Rt 23. Easy to find. Getting into the plaza that it is situated in is a bit of a challenge. The cars on rt 23 really do not let up so you need to have a bit of patience if you opt to turn not at a intersection with a light. Once I got into the plaza i was shocked by how much longer this Meijer is than the one near me in Gahanna. I came here for groceries and of course I parked on the wrong side, the entrance that is farthest away from groceries. . If you are coming for those park on the northern side of the lot (right side). That will cut your steps at least in half. Its a huge store. It somewhat reminded me of a large walmart super center. The frozen pizza section is almost immediately behind the produce section, so I lucked out. Even the produce section was super huge. Searched and searched but no golden beets. The frozen pizza section was extensive as well. They have a bigger selection than Kroger and Target.... As I went there first and had zero luck) They did have what we were searching. read more

Nice employees, but Meijer customer service, convenience, and prices have became bad in the past 5 years. - No longer 24 hours even though store is staffed nightly. Previous cashiers said they did not want to spend money even though the only overnight cashier still had to stock the front. - Closes at midnight so you would think your shopping experience would not be impeded by night stocking since it should be done after midnight. Wrong. Overnight arrive at 10pm. By 11pm the aisles are blocked by pallets of product. Not only aisles but often shelves and coolers. I routinely have to move various items just to get what I want. - Prices have increased throughout but we as people have to start saying, "Really?" Meijer Lewis Center remodeled their store and moved everything. Fixing and repairing is one thing, but signs said "For customers shopping experience"? Hardly. According to store management, prices on several items throughout store were increased to cover cost. Sorry, in these times, your customers would rather have lower prices than increasing your property value. Product prices on some items are laughable. Bakery products for example, expire rather quickly. Check out their "clearance" racks. Ten percent off an overpriced product that expires in days IS NOT a clearance price. - Multiple times entire sections are empty. Recently I was looking for egg whites in carton. The entire egg section was empty but you could see all of it piled together within the cooler. I asked an employee and he was baffled and had no idea. - I have contacted the Meijer corporate customer service via email twice and given no answers, just vague excuses that sound like a career politician dodging questions. - I am sure other stores are similar, but wake up America. Complain and boycott some of these absolutely absurd prices and don't accept the "things are hard on business right now" as Meijer and others like them show rising profits every year but our profits are becoming a thing of the past just to buy food and essentials. read more

Wouldn't price match their own website. Seemed to be a theme this morning. Showed the cashier the website from a google search. the result for the price clearly showed the Lewis Center location. Cashier wouldn't price match. No solutions offered. It's one thing when it's Walmart, it's another much more shocking thing when this sort of apathy is encountered at a Meijer. This MEIJER has been recently updated and looks very clean and inviting. It is much better than the sawmill location and I prefer it over that one. They also have self checkout with no item limit which I appreciate! Good selection of products and good prices. read more

I've been to every Meijer store with about a 50 to 60 mile radius of Columbus the one in Lewis center is the worst one by far the store is not as clean as the rest of the Meijer stores so much of the merchandise is not priced you take it to the cashier they can't find anything on it to be able to scan it for a price the cashier is so stupid all they say is I'm sorry they don't have enough sense to call a manager over and get a price on the item so they can sell it they're starting to come more and more like Walmart without having prices on their items so nobody knows what to charge you for it I definitely will not go back to this store ever again.the cash read more

Happy National Pig Day 3/1/21 My toddler absolutely adores pigs. She asked for all things piggy for her Birthday. Meijer bakery did a fantastic job decorating this piggy cake. Taste & quality - I am a total snob when it comes to cakes. A pretty cake looks good but it has to taste good all the way through for it to be a great cake. Their cakes are made fresh onsite. The icing is a vanilla buttercream frosting that is light and fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness. The cake was moist, not dry and had a really great flavor. This 8" double layer cake was less than $10. The price has gone up a little in the past 6 months, but it's still a great deal for a customizable cake that tastes great. @ohiofoodlover read more

I love this Meijer location, always does the trick with whatever you need. It definitely needs updated on the outside, but hey?! It is what is on the inside that counts, am I right? This place has it all. I end up going for a few things and end up walking out with a night stand and decorations for my office. It is will always have everything you might need. Better off the bat than some other groceries during the crisis. The first couple of weeks they had someone up front wiping off carts as you came in. Now they have plenty of wipes so you can do it yourself. They are wiping the belt between customers at checkout, and have some extra plastic shielding there, at least at some registers. Mostly stocked, though I have yet to see hand sanitizer in a month of weekly visits. Some TP, a few thermometers. (Not their fault, just an observation.) I like Meijer anyway, and am glad they have handled this appropriately. Saves me from running around to several places (I can get food, clothes, hardware, kid stuff, yard stuff, etc.) Which is a bigger deal nowadays... read more

I really just go for the produce. However, I'm still kind of turned off with these stores because they only have one one cashier and everything self-serve and I'm waiting on a 1099 since I have to go in and work and pay and back my own stuff I'm just saying. read more

They have remodeled and now have less of a selection and some items have nominal stock. Produce selection has taken a huge hit.

Meijer has a good selection of groceries, household goods,clothes, a pretty decent selection of auto stuff as well. They do have good selections of candles, outdoor items and holiday items as well. I love their bread selections though. I can what I want and they there's a large selection. I do wish they had a better floral section and craft section though. Updating the bathrooms would a huge and much appreciated perk for customers as well. read more

Was a Giant Eagle customer for years mainly because of geography. Started grocery shopping at Meijer then Id compare prices and Meijer in a month we've saved almost $90. Lovd the price and variety of products. read more

I liked this place as it is so large and has a ton of items. It's like a super Walmart though it has some more local items for sale like frozen Donatos pizzas. I saw some really good prices on Columbus sports merchandise like Ohio State tshirts. Lots of sunglasses for sale too. read more

Here's what I love about Meijer: it's a one-stop shopping trip without having to go to Walmart. Seriously. The prices are lower than other grocery stores in the area, and I can get general home needs as well as prescription medications. This is superb. The particular Meijer store keeps most items well-stocked (unless you want the cheapest 16x25x1 air filters: hit or miss there). There are numerous self check-out lines if you're like me and don't want to talk to anyone! If you're like my husband, who refuses to do the work himself until they offer a discount for it, they always have several lines open with some very quick cashiers. read more

Do not rent a carpet steamer from there! You'll rent it, use it, clean it out and attempt to return. No matter what - even a tiny piece of hair they will fine you. I go miles out of my way to another nearby store to rent them now. I've never had issues anywhere else except at this Meijer! It angers us due to the care we put in and try to clean as thoroughly as can be but they end up trying to charge us extra. If they are so anal about it then why not go through it with someone at the point of pick up. maybe explain how tidy it needs to be and where it needs to be cleaned out. It's just ridiculous. This is a store to buy meat, but you need to buy it in quantity to get a decent price. Every Sunday morning when the sales change, I go looking for the bargain of the week, and it's really a bargain: dark meat chicken for $0.80 a pound; nice pork chops for a dollar a pound; ground beef for $2. Packaged brand-name grocery products in this store are generally a little cheaper than in Kroger. But their house brands are not as reasonably-priced as WalMart's. Diet grape pop is hard to find elsewhere. read more

Main frustration: selection is very middle of the road. Outside of major brands, selection is very limited. Yes I am usually a Kroger man but, I can find sometings that K's doesn't carry or are higher on price for. This location off 23 north of me has just been remodaled in the past year and is much nicer now with wider aisles and great new Deli counter. read more

I dont normally do my grocery shopping at meijer, preferring Giant Eagle fuel perks but this ones always manages to get me to spend more money then I planned on. Never before seen such poor care of the fish. My son was so excited to go see them, and it was appalling when we got there. So many dead fish, some even had furry mold, they had been dead so long. Pure nasty, and shame on you for caring for them in such a way. read more

I absolutely love coming to this Meijer's location. It's so nice and clean, and rarely crowded. I can easily find what I need and they frequently have sales which is always a plus. The cashiers have always been really helpful and the associates are pretty good at helping me find what I need. I will continue to choose Meijer's over Walmart because the atmosphere is different and the associates are attentive to their customers needs. read more

I'm so glad I live right by this Meijer because it is huge, has everything I need (groceries, wine, home products, pharmacy), and the employees are just so pleasant and helpful. They will come up to you randomly and make sure you're finding everything you need. I've been going here weekly for almost a year and I've not been disappointed once. I don't really need to go to Target or Giant Eagle most of the time. There is also a Meijer gas station right in front of this location which is convenient. read more

Mejier has been my go-to grocery store for years now. I utterly adore every aspect of the store, whether it be it's selection, cleanliness, variety, or convenience. The store is rarely crowded and I never have trouble finding what I've got on my list. The workers are especially wonderful and will always be super helpful whenever I need assistance. Meijer is arguably the greatest grocery store of its kind, and I will be coming back to it again and again! read more
