Every single one of the staff that works there is so so friendly and helpful. This is a local owned butcher shop and it is always evident that they care immensely for their customers. Their selection is amazing and if there's something that you don't see that you want, they probably will go out of their way to get that for you! Besides the meat market part of it, they also have a really great sandwich selection for made to order sandwiches and a hot selection. Their smoked brisket and ribs are second to none. This is a comfortable place and super clean! Absolutely def recommend!

Service was attentive from everyone. So many delicious items to choose from there. I came specifically to grab a sandwich after doing a quick search online, knowing I would be in the area. An fyi for first timers, there's a little form at the first counter on the right, just after you walk in. Use a form for each sandwich you'd like, hand it to the person behind the counter and wait for them to call your name. I am so pleasantly surprised at how delicious the sandwich was. The bread, THE BREAD, was perfectly toasted but not hard. It was crispy, yet light and airy--so good. It looks super bready but it was not. The crust on their brisket, chef's kiss. My son even grabbed a White Bear Butchery cap cause they've got it all here. Needless to say, I will be back and look forward to trying more things.

If I need any Asian grocery items, I usually just have my mom get them for me from a list that I would send her. I am very sensitive to smell and vomit very easily so I try to go in and out of Asian grocery stores as quickly as possible and especially on an empty stomach just in case I do vomit. The raw meat section smell is terrifying at every Asian market I wish it was sectioned far away from the entrance of deli foods. But it's not & they cut the raw meats in the open air (not enclosed or closed door separate room) & the smell lingers into the entire store at every Asian market & just makes me very ill. Luckily, the deli register line is only for the deli so I can just order deli foods and check out in the same line and then I'm out the door.

Again, so many things to try. The entrees I've tried haven't been my favorite items. I'd say, definitely try a banh mi or the roast duck. Service is not really something I take into consideration when reviewing Ha Tien as there's not a ton of interaction for me, most of the time. I get in, peruse the aisles and get out.

Lots of meat vendors, the pork chops we got were amazing. Also, many local honey vendors, flowers, as well as bread items. I cannot get over the bakery items. I was able to get a great sourdough round and some baguettes for dinner. My daughter loves these spicy cheddar rolls from one of the vendors (keep a look out for them). You cannot go wrong. It is in a central spot that makes this easy to get to, free parking and it is open fairly year round. As a tidbit, it is right next to my favorite coffee shop that makes a great Vietnamese coffee!!! PROS Free parking Lots of vendors, almost year round Great location Great people CONS Nothing, just go and enjoy the stroll

I have been to that one across the river, all I can say is they don't grow bananas in Minnesota. I have been visiting this place for decades, and I really love the way it is evolved well staying true to its roots. You need to have products that have been grown or made within a certain radius of Saint Paul. When I first started visiting, it was mainly growers, but as a farmers markets have expanded in the Twin Cities, some farmers have gone elsewhere. That means we are seeing more vendors of other types of food. People who forge mushrooms, people who make their own cheese. Bee keepers. The world's best pierogies. Tibetan dumplings. So many delights. It is bustling every Saturday and Sunday. It should be a weekly stop for everyone.

Note, not all locations offer these products, so it's so nice that Fresh Thyme vadnais heights has been a constant supplier for me. It's been so nice not having to run all over the city (although, I would if needed). The store has always been clean and bright. I also love how they offer a wide variety of fresh and healthier options. Lots of other personal care products, protein powders, and bulk items like nuts, peanut butter, and such. If you're a shopper, you may find yourself getting lost in this store (like me). Something to consider, bringing your own reusable bags as each bag cost 10 cents, not the end of the world, but something to be aware of beforehand. Self checkout lanes are highly recommended here. Each time I've been here, maybe 1-2 lanes have been open, so when I needed assistance at the self checkout, it took a little while. However, my encounter with the staff member was good. She checked on the product price and adjusted to the correct cheaper price for me. It was a good experience. I will continue coming to Fresh Thyme for my Siena Soap Company needs and any other items I may need that are harder to come across at your regular grocery store.
