Aldiiiii! Strangely like being in Europe again with the lack of variety, having to put in a coin for a cart, and bagging your own groceries. But don't worry, you get your coin back when you return the cart; you're not being charged to use it. This particular one is not very big so it just has your basics and whatever specials that are advertised in their circular. I like to get produce, non-dairy milk, and hummus here. Unfortunately for vegetarians this location only carries two burger patties from the Earth Grown line and nothing else (at the moment). I needed 9 dozen eggs for an event they refused to sell me eggs because they said they were on sale and i could not purchase more then 3. I explained i did not care about their sale and simply needed 9 dozen and that i would pay full price. They explained to me they cannot do this and would be yelled at by management. Very, very disappointed with how this was. Now Ive lived in Spain for 3 years, bagging my own stuff and coin for a cart is no issue for me, the store in a whole was a big letdown. First off, it was very dimly lit, yes I dont need a bright store, but it was almost on the verg of dark in there. It might have just been the day but that was how I felt. People are in a rush in there, nothing like trying to look over items and having rude people behind you, or trying to get somewhere and someone cuts you off that you have to make a hard stop with someone in a wheelchair. If you are in a rush say something politely to me and i will move, if not im sorry but im here to shop not read your mind. Not a good selection of anything in there, nothing like their sister store Trader Joes, yes they are both owned by the same family. Dont plan on going back there again. read more

Aldi's is a great place to shop if you don't mind being a careful and thorough shopper. I can save significant amounts of money versus Meijer's but it has limited amounts of product choices. Some of the savings are quite significant like turkey breast for about $8 versus $12 -14 at Meijer. Also it is a quick in and out versus the big stores. They have good selections in the baked goods, fruits, salad stuff and great nut selection and prices. Meats are fairly good especially bacon and hot dog type items and diary is adequate. Their dry cereal off brands are good about half the cost of the big stores brand names. So in summary they don't have everything all the big brands but a good place to help reduce your food costs. Also their is some surprise finds almost every time you go there like fancy chocolates etc. read more

My fav store! Once you learn what they carry and brands you prefer, you are in and out in 1/4th time of large box supermarkets. I don't have time or energy for that! I have cut my grocery bill in half. We eat much better as we eat simple and healthier choices. Why does anyone want 20 choices to have to read labels or to have 3 that you can memorize. Skip rows and rows of processed foods. Bagging my own groceries saves time when I get home. The workers are some of the most helpful I have found. read more

Don't buy a ton of fresh veggies here they won't last more than a day or two. However, when they have it in stock, gluten free items can be found here for a fair-ish price. I've found similar gluten free products at Meijer for the same price but with more product per package (16 oz pasta vs. 12 oz at Aldi) and some at Walmart but sparse selection with the same 12 oz pasta for an over inflated price. The problem with Aldi is you can't count on consistent supply and then they either claim it's seasonal or they simply stop carrying it, like the macaroni and cheese and pizza crust. My wheat allergy and celiac aren't seasonal so that doesn't work for me. However, I do go back again and again for other items like cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and butter where the price just cannot be beat else where. No matter how long the lines are you won't be there long as the cashier is pretty quick; however, I really prefer they not crush my chips or manhandle delicate items in their efforts to be so hurried. read more
